In town for 3 nights for family gatherings. Property was just as described and very convenient to the downtown area. Really enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely stay at James street. It was exceptionally clean and very well equipped, the location was great close to downtown in a lovely location A total credit to the owner, would go back in a heart beat

The room was very much as advertised. It was clean and spacious. While not on the river it was less than a five minute walk to a beautiful park right on the riverfront. We had a problem checking in as the security code worked but the door was dead bolted from the inside. But the property management communicated with us and directed us to the back door which we were able to open and get into the property.

What a great time!

Beautiful place to stay! Beautiful town! Beautiful area! This little cottage is perfect for couples! We had a great time, we wish we could live in Clayton!

Wedding guest getaway

Perfect location for a wedding at the Antique Boat Museum. Quaint town with good restaurants and beverages. Loved the front porch and everything in walking distance.

Great location. Very clean

Condo was perfect size for a couple. It was easy walking to all the restaurants on the waterfront. Very clean. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch every evening. We will for sure stay there again.

This property is in the heart of this quaint amd walkable town of Clayton. The proprietor was communicative & welcoming and never intrusive. The cottage is lovely and is equipped and modern, and extremely comfortable. We had a lot of fun in Clayton!

Delightful Stay in Clayton

Our visit to Clayton and The 1000 Islands for a Memorial Service and 60th Birthday party was enhanced greatly by the clean, comfortable and charming Cottage on James. The home was clean, linens fresh and every amenity added- thanks for the welcome basket of snacks! The front porch was a big draw and we spent early mornings and evenings enjoying the rocking chairs. Great location to the river, shops and coffee spots. I would definitely rent again when we visit our friends on nearby Murray Isle- maybe even rent the other units for family members! Highly recommend

Charming Cottage in a Charming Town!

What a charming and beautifully update cottage circa from 1899. Beautiful hardwood floors and character galore! We stayed in Cottage #2 on the main floor which had a wonderful covered balcony complete with rocking chairs from which to enjoy coffee or cocktails. Super location, walk to everything in this charming town. The cottage was immaculate, spacious and very nicely appointed. We already know that we will stay here again in the future. Thanks!

I can’t say enough good things about this cottage it is the cleanest place we have ever stayed (bravo to the cleaning service)! The bed was super comfortable with great quality linens. Everything you need for a stay is there. The location is perfect to walk to everything! It’s clear the owners really care about this property and what they are providing for their guests. A welcome snack and water was waiting on table. Honestly one of the best stays we have had (and we travel a lot)! A. (And the owner /host checks in to make sure everything is up to our standards and to see if we needed anything )

Modern, clean 1-bdrm in the perfect location

This modern, clean 1-bedroom was in the perfect location for exploring Clayton and surrounding areas. It was ideal for our stay as we enjoyed the front porch. The amenities and decor were excellent. It was spotless and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this unit and look to return some day.
