This is an absolutely serene location on the lake (Abrams Pond) with a view of Schoodic Mountain in the distance. 35 miles from Bar Harbor/Acadia. Great lawn to frolic as well as great fishing and swimming in the lake. Many amenities.

Located on a beautiful, quiet lake with large lawn. Just north of Ellsworth where you will find food shopping, restaurants, LL Bean outlet, bowling and other activities. Pleasant drive to Bar Harbor, great restaurants, shopping and the wonderful Acadia National Park for hiking, biking and beautiful sightseeing along the coast. 'Serenity' is located on Abrams Pond in Eastbrook. Great fishing with kayaks provided. Spotted on premises; bald eagles, osprey, loons, too many other birds to mention. Peaceful setting away from it all.
June, July & August - 7 day stay minimum, Saturday to Saturday

We spent a week at Serenity and had a wonderful time! Our five kids (7, 10, 12, 14, 16) enjoyed the beach area and spent a lot of time kayaking & fishing. The host was attentive and it is obvious they thought of little details that would make a stay more practical and enjoyable. We’d love to come back!

We had a fantastic stay. The house has everything you need and the view is everything you want. The property is quiet and feels like the only house on the lake. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle, enjoy nature without being to far from some of the best sites in Maine this is for you.

Amazing place to stay! The name of the lake house "Serenity" truly is very accurate. It is a peaceful and beautiful place! John is a great and gets back to you quickly! I cant enough good things about this place!

Beautiful setting.

Great spot. Quiet and peaceful away from the hustle and bustle. Enjoyed sitting by the water at the firepit. Serenity is the perfect name. Enjoyed our stay.

This wonderful lake house was just what we were looking for and the perfect place for our first visit to Maine. The house was very clean and fully stocked. Had plenty of room and very comfortable. The host was so welcoming and responsive. Can’t wait to stay here again. The view is absolutely beautiful and so relaxing.

Amazing. Before we even got to the location, I was going to give 5 stars around the board for communication alone. Seriously fantastic communication — information, recommendations, etc. The house and location are absolutely lovely and we could not have asked for a better time or friendlier host. We will definitely plan to stay here again when we revisit the area.

Secluded & Peaceful Getaway

My family loved staying right on the lake. The vacation home has a cozy, cabin feel with lots of windows for viewing the lake. Accommodations were so nice to include kayaks, a paddle boat, and yard games to use during our stay. The owner was great at communicating what is available and checked in with a phone call after our arrival to make sure everything was to our liking. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful property with us!

Awesome weather and great amenities!

J. Has been great to us renting the house over the last 8 years. We love the remote location and proximity to Bar Harbor. The weather this year was phenomenal! We saw bald eagles, herons and plenty of geese and ducks on the dock and from the deck. We are looking forward to next year!

A Piece of Heaven

Beautiful location away from the traffic and noise. Serenity was a home away from home. J. made us feel like part of the family by calling us ahead of time and making sure we knew where everything was located. Easy check in, plenty of things to keep us busy. Loved this beautiful home.

Serene Getaway!

Another great week of beautiful weather. We had cool nights and warm days! Trips to Acadia and Bar Harbor were wonderful. Went out to dinner at 44 degrees North, and picked up our own lobster from DownEast Lobster Pound. Every year we find new adventures to check out. We love having all the amenities at our disposal. J. makes sure we are all comfortable and welcome. Love staying at this serene locale. We also got to see the Rainbow! Looking forward to future vacations here!

Serenity Indeed

As the name implies, this house/location made it so easy to relax and enjoy nature, as well as hard to leave. The house supplied ample things to keep everyone entertained: Kayaks, floaties, fishing gear, corn hole and board games. The host also provided the necessity, we didn’t have to worry about stocking up before hand. A little bonding experience in teaching my girls to fish and they loved it. A truly grand experience and much needed family time.

The best rental near Bar Harbor. The home is beautiful and the true meaning of serenity. Excellent communication with the host before, during and even when we checked out a few hours early. This home is maintained to the highest standards. You won’t regret spending a week or two here.

Superb remote lakeside cabin

The name ‘Serenity’ does this property total justice being both remote and during our stay very peaceful. The cabin is next to a pond or more like a lake in uk terms. It’s pretty remote 30mins drive from Ellsworth which has lots of stores for supplies. The cabin is very well equipped and was great for our stay. The weather was in our favour with mist on the lake in the morning very haunting with just the birds calling. Then warm and sunny in the afternoon which was perfect for kayaking. The trip to Bar Harbor was great so was visiting Bass Harbor lighthouse and Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound. Overall would highly recommend for quiet and getting some you time

Serenity, Home away from home

This was a beautiful property. We really enjoyed ourselves and it felt like we were at home. We plan on visiting my nephew in Maine every year or every other year and we will ALWAYS stay at Serenity. John was an awesome host and is very proud of his home and treats everyone like family.

Get daytrips to Acadia and up the coast

We had a great time visiting Acadia National Park and then road-tripping north along the Maine coast and doing our own lobster bake as well. Great location with absolutely splendid sunrises.

This property is nestled on a lake Perfect peace and quiet I cannot say enough good things about the property owner. He made our stay most pleasant, noting every thing needed It is a good place to retreat, sightsee and then retreat again.

Serenity Indeed!

Soul soothing location. 6:30am - you could have heard a pin drop from across the lake - only the call of a single loon swimming across the lake could be heard - magical! So nice to retreat from the hustle and bustle of Acadia during the day to this oasis .

Wonderful stay!

Our family had an amazing experience staying at Serenity! The environment is truly serene, but there is plenty of wildlife to see and fun to be had with 3 kayaks and many floats to enjoy the peace of Abrams Pond. The owners, John and Kate, provided just about everything we needed to have a wonderful family vacation!

Fun for everyone

We all enjoyed our week at serenity. We had grandparents and kids along and everyone had a good time on the lake kayaking and fishing. We also took short day trips to Acadia. Since the kids are still young yet their hiking max is about 2 miles. Would definitely stay here again. What you see in listing is exactly what you get. Property was very clean!
