(Inbox me for additional guest or long term stays!) The “Cottage" is a private one bedroom, one bathroom guest house with a full kitchen that overlooks the backyard pool. Equipped with high speed internet for streaming or if working during your stay is a must! The house is situated on 40 acres outside the city limits of Abilene, Texas near Potosi. When you arrive, you may see horses grazing in the pastures or be met by two friendly Collie’s (think Lassie dogs) &/or Major the barn cat! We hope that our guests enjoy the peaceful country all while being minutes from entertainment, restaurants, airport & hospitals. The Cottage is perfect for college parents, vacationers, couples or anyone just needing to relax, restore & rejuvenate!

-Its highly recommended that you bring water shoes for the pool! The pool decking gets hot and the pool plaster can be hard on soft skin, especially the kiddos! There will be an additional fee for guests not included on the initial reservation that come to swim. This also must be cleared by management before their arrival.

-Please note that this house is in the country. We do get wasps, bees & ants around the pool especially during the peak of summer. Coyotes also bark & howl at night. Please understand that hosts cannot be expected to control pests or nuisances such as these. Thank you for understanding.

We stayed at the most adorable cottage, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed. Every detail was thoughtfully designed to create such a beautiful, comfortable, and inviting experience. We absolutely loved the horses, the pool, and the dogs—they made our stay even more special.We travel often, and we could not stop talking about what an incredible experience this was. The cottage was charming, peaceful, and truly unforgettable. We would happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway!

Perfect place for a quiet stay

The cottage was perfect for my visit to Abilene. It’s small and quaint. It’s quiet and a great place to escape. Will definitely stay again on my future trips.

Serene stay!

Beautifully renovated pool house comes with all the amenities you need. Warm, quiet country setting gives one a memorable experience. Host Heather is tremendous.

Visiting my son stationed at Dyess AFB.

We loved this place. The sun rises and sun sets will not disappoint. The pool house was super clean and very well maintained. Check in and out process was very easy. Loved that Major the cat kept us company!

Serene Stay

This property was very peaceful, clean, and comfortable. The pool was well taken care of. The animals were nice to watch grazing. Everything we needed while there was available. Also, we thoroughly enjoyed having the country with the conveniences of Abilene nearby. We highly recommend this property!

Owner was very polite and welcoming! Great communication! The home was very inviting, super cute, and extremely clean!!! One of the cleanest places we have stayed at! The pool was also very clear and clean! Overall, couldn’t of had a better experience for me and my little family. Thank you!

Amazing

Place was immaculate! It eas so clean and sheets and towels smelled so good! Beautiful pool view. She had breakfast food and snacks for us. Was able to park under carport out of the weather. I could go on and on!!! We both really enjoyed our stay, was very comfortable!

Pool House, home away from home

My family enjoyed having a place to just be while visiting family in Abilene. My husband worked during the day from the pool house, while me and my daughter spent time with family. It was great to be in the country and be so close to a city at the same time. We had privacy but had quick easy communication for anything we needed. I miss being greeted by Major the cat now that I’m home.

Cozy Cottage/Pool House

Amazing host! Always available on property! Extremely clean! Pool house is more like a cozy cottage! Everything provided from kitchen everything to towels to fireplace and tv games! Swimming pool! Beautiful sunrise from bedroom! Very quiet location. Host even provided a parking spot under covered carport and tray of snacks in kitchen! We enjoyed our visit so much! Can't wait to return!

Quiet, comfortable retreat

This was the quiet, retreat I needed on a trip that was not for fun. The bed is extremely comfortable, and I slept well every night. The kitchen was well equipped and stocked with coffee. Heather is a marvelous host, with fast, easy, friendly communication. It’s a 10-20 minute drive to Abilene depending on where you’re going, but that’s not too bad. And the stars at night are worth it

Comfortable and Charming!

We had a wonderful time at the cozy and charming Pool House. A comfortable bed, a beautifully decorated living space, and a kitchen & bathroom stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided by Heather. Her and her family were also such amazing hosts, they made us feel like family! Being able to use the large inground pool during some very hot days in Texas was a huge bonus to our booking, Heather even encouraged us to invite our family, who live in the area, over for a swim. We were able to relax in the peaceful country setting, and we were even lucky enough to hold some baby chicks that were new to their household! The whole experience made this one of our most favorite bookings!

World Youth Roughstock Finals

In town from Oklahoma, as my grandson qualified for his second rough stock finals in Abilene. Cute cottage with pool access and outdoor seating ( we enjoyed our morning coffee by the pool ). Communication with owner was received in timely manner with all inquiries addressed. Host was present and graciously accommodated my grandchildren with items to enjoy in the pool. Cottage was very clean and decorated very stylish. Area is quiet. We love animals and enjoyed loving on Major, the cat, as well as Molly & Clancy- the canine greeting crew! Everyone enjoyed cooling off in the pool, especially the grandchildren. We plan to stay again next year.

Mini Getaway

Heather and her husband were beyond accommodating, very friendly and communicative. They made sure we had everything we needed while still respecting our privacy. The property itself is a fully equipped lovely little pool house set in the scenic country. It was clean, warm and welcoming with the cutest decor. The horses are beautiful to watch, and the other animals kept us company while we were spending time outside. We are animal lovers so this was an added bonus for us - plus they were all loving and well behaved, especially around our 4 year old son. If you aren’t comfortable around animals, I’m sure they would figure something out so they weren’t in your way. The pool is a great size, about 5 FT deep, nice and cold. My four year old was a last minute surprise on this trip, so when I messaged Heather to apologize and let her know we’d pay extra, she insisted it was fine and there would be no added charge. For the price, the hospitality, and the amenities- I would definitely recommend this little getaway to anyone needing to stay in the Abilene area. Thank you so much for everything Heather & Buddy!
