Contemporary Cottage in Biddeford Pool

Family beach house at 11 Third Street on Biddeford Pool's South Point. An architectural gem, this contemporary cottage sits a short block away from the rocky coast line of Maine and a five-minute walk to the sandy beach or the Audubon trail. After a fun packed day at the beach - surfing, finding shells, or kayaking, enjoy a lobster picnic in the backyard or grilling on the deck. Peaceful, safe street for children to run, bike and play.

Perfect for a family with lots of amenities. Newly renovated with bright, seaside decor. Family room features cathedral ceiling with skylights and wood burning fireplace, beautiful windows and glass doors leading onto generous deck and yard beyond. Flowing, open floor plan has two first floor living areas with lots of space and direct access to outside deck.

New custom kitchen with Wolf Cooktop and Shaws Original farm sink is a chef's delight. Dining room is a wonderful place to entertain with table that seats 8 and original built-in china cabinet. Wide board pine plank floors throughout.

Second floor features three bedrooms; master with queen bed, two twins and one double bed. Upstairs living room looks down on family room below, the perfect place to curl up with a good book on a quiet afternoon. Futon offers additional sleeping option.

NOTE: No pets, 7 night minimum Memorial Day through Labor Day.

The cottage is delightful and minutes from beach, rocky shoreline, ocean views from cottage. The Cottage was very clean. The host was kind easy to work with.

Charming cottage with a short walk from the ocean with breathtaking views. The house was clean and the backyard was amazing. We stayed after labor day so it is probably different in the middle of the summer, but it was very quiet and peaceful. Just what we were looking for.

Memorial Day Weekend 2023

This house is amazing; has absolutely everything you could ever need. I did not want to leave and can’t wait to book again. Biddeford Pool is close to Saco and OOB; it’s nice and quiet and quaint. Such an amazing neighborhood. I feel honored to have experienced what the locals call their home; truly a slice of heaven.

Great Location!

We loved the location so much! We were looking for a place that fit my family and in-laws that was quiet yet close to the beach. The Biddeford Pools was perfect. The listing states the house is one block away but it was even closer than expected. My teens loved the use of the bikes. Easy to walk beach and we barely saw anyone there. the trail walk to the lighthouse was nice and a beautiful view. We ordered a cooked lobster dinner from the quant grocery store and enjoyed our time. It was cold and rainy but the fireplace made it feel warm and inviting. The owner was awesome with communication and feedback and we enjoyed our time.

Great location!

We have a really nice time visiting Biddeford Pool. The location of the cottage is great - easy biking and close by to beaches. We were disappointed regarding the cleanliness of the cottage unfortunately. All the rugs had stains on them, furniture was very worn and showed many stains as well. Bathroom drawers were dirty, just overall cleanliness was really disappointing for a rental at this price point. In addition having to show up with kiddos at night and have to make your own beds and then have to do all the laundry before leaving, again for this price point should be included in the cleaning costs.

We have professional cleaners who guarantee their work. I wish you had contacted me immediately and we would have had the cleaners come back out to address any concerns. We did have an incident with a renters "well-behaved dog" (everyone says their dog is well behaved!). We are replacing the carpet in the master bedroom. It is certainly an overeach to say everything was stained, it was one carpet. Finally, we provide linens for FREE which is spelled out in the agreement. The exchange is that renters are responsible for cleaning the linens before they leave. You will know the sheets have been cleaned since they are folded on the end of the bed!

I wanted to love this property but I could not

I travel alot and so far I have had great success finding rentals by reading reviews. This is the first time that I failed. The property had the perfect location, an absolutely beautiful back yard. Just a few minutes walk from the ocean, amazing!!!!! When entering the house it seemed to be perfect, the sweetest little beach house. After a few minutes we realized the photos on line were very old. The furniture was in tough shape due to filth. Sand & food, crumbs under the couch cushions, stains on the carpets, strong urine smell from the carpet in the front room. The dining rooms beautiful periwinkle & white carpet was only white on the backside. The top of the carpet was brown due to extreme filth. When looking for fresh soap options we discovered a slimey substance in the first floor bathroom vanity. I messaged the owner and he explained that he had a new cleaner who had clearly failed. I would have agreed but the filth we experienced was long term neglect. It was not just a lazy or inept cleaning person. We stayed in spite of this even though I never slept through one night here. The sheets on my bed had multiple stains which made me question whether the bed had been changed at all. The comforter was stained in multiple places. Upon check out we needed to strip the beds, only to discover urine stained mattress covers on two of the 4 beds. GROSS!!!!!!! I have never written a negative review but this place needs major cleaning!!!!!

This is unfortunate. First, we don't allow pets. We had someone who broke the rules, brought a pet, and promptly stained our carpet. It has been cleaned and will likely have to be replaced. Second, we provide sheets for FREE , but in exchange, we ask that renters wash the sheets before they leave. If you don't feel comfortable our sheets are up to your standards, you are welcome to bring your own. Third, I'm sorry if the cleaning was not up to your standards and as a result, I gave a full refund for the cleaning. Everyone has their own ranking system, but one star tells me this reviewer can't ever be happy, even on vacation.

Family Weekend

We had a wonderful time at this property. Everything was correct as the description stated, which is a big star for me as I have had bad experiences elsewhere. This was a perfect location for attending a UNE event. We will be back.
