Gathering on the Bend is the perfect spot for family, friends, or a group of fishing buddies. Whether you want to stock the freezer full of fish or just enjoy the view and unwind, this cozy little cabin will not disappoint. Located just 5 miles south of Bill’s Landing and only minutes from Huxley Bay Marina this area is some of the most premiere catfishing territory on Toledo Bend Lake. Considering you have access to your own boat slip and a personal fish cleaning station right at the cabin it will feel as if you have Toledo Bend all to yourself.

Gathering on the Bend is located right on the lake, and we mean… right. on. the. lake. Enjoy your morning coffee while watching the sun rise from the back porch and relax every evening as you hand fish for bass or catfish.

With three bedrooms and two bathrooms you will certainly feel comfortable in this cabin. Consisting of two twin beds in the second room and queen size beds in both the primary bedroom and the third bedroom, it will easily accommodate six people.

The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans, a dishwasher, a Keurig drip and pod coffee station, and anything else you may have at home. The dining room table seats six while the living room consists of a full size couch, two lazy boy recliners and a rocking chair. Outside you can enjoy grilling on our built-in charcoal grill, take a tranquil paddling adventure with two 1-person kayaks or relaxing the night away by the fire pit. Feel free to hang out inside and watch tv with Roku, free Wi-Fi access, enjoy the dvd player with movies or play some of our complimentary family board games, or other activities including cards and dominoes.

Located only a mile or two down the road is “Trails End” - a local convenience store that offers not only live bait (minnows, worms, and crickets) but also a full service restaurant and some of the best pizza in a 30 mile radius.

Set GPS for Huxley Bay Marina and when you get to the boat ramp sign in 1500 feet, turn left onto 2481. Turn right onto the dirt road and stop before you drive off into the lake… YOU’RE THERE! Yes, it is that close to the water!

Had a small problem with door lock but it was solved very fast. Very friendly and timely response. Everything went well. Enjoyed the stay a lot. Will be back.

It’s a great place on the lake. We had only one issue with cleanliness. The coffee maker had Old moldy grounds left in the filter…. Everything else was really good.

Family Weekend

We had a great stay and thoroughly enjoyed the property. The home was well furnished and met our needs. We will definitely stay again in the future. Communication with management company was excellent.

Our stay was great. The view was fantastic. Accommodations were fine, lacked kitchen towels. Would like to see a table and chairs on front porch to eat on & watch the lake. Very quiet even with neighbors close by. Will definitely go back to this place

Terrific time at a great place near Huxley Bay on Toledo Bend!!!

Rental site was awesome, large, very clean and on the water!!! Communication with owner was super, a person left a wallet and the owner and staff secured it until they could return!!! There are good honest people in this world and we just met them!!!

Pretty Point is exactly what this location is.

Beautiful sunrises. Surrounded by other neighbors but yet private. Comfortable living setting. Not hard to find.

Amazing views!

We really enjoyed our stay. The sheets in the Queen room were dirty and 4 pillows in the twin bed room had what appeared r to be dog hair on them. But we still had a good time. The view was amazing.

Nice Lakeside Property!

We booked this property as we had an event over at the Marina, we have friends who own property and they had a birthday bash. This was perfect as literally they are just a stone's throw across the lake! Everything was great, it looks like it was recently remodeled. We will certainly book again in the summer when the weather is nicer! Thank You!

Toledo Bend

As much as we enjoyed our stay, the property needs to be updated. The grass was not cut just as it was not cut last year. Its a spectacular location, Very quiet and relaxing. The neighbor was super friendly. Both queen mattresses need to be changed out.It just needs a good face lift. But we enjoyed ourselves.

Huxley stay

Was an overall good stay, although a little trouble getting the code to let me in camp. Apparently email containing code didn't get delivered the first time and couple that with the fact i didn't have great cell service while out on the lake didn't help things.....but it all worked out....enjoyed the stay

Amazing Property

My company had some work to complete for the area and we came across this property. This property was exactly like it was described. It was at a perfect area with a great view of the lake. On our down time we got to enjoy the balcony and with a private pier do some fishing. The area was quiet and peaceful. The house had plenty of space and well stock of everything needed to cook. If you need extra items to pass the time . The movie selection was amazing so many to choose from. There was also a great selection to choose from to read. If you are looking for some down time with lake advantages this is the place. Check in was easy and the host was amazing to communicate with. Highly would recommend.

Having second thoughts at first

Driving up to the property I was questionable, because things where messy (beyond owners control as that part was not their property). But once you got in the house and on the porch....breathe taking. The house was clean and welcoming. I have a camping kitchen bind I brought not knowing what to expect in the kitchen and only needed a couple of things out of it mostly just trash bags (they only leave 2 and we were there for a week) and ziploc bags. We will Absolutely be going back, Jill was awesome through the whole process.

Not Happy

House was nice, Location was good, View was Awesome House was dirty, Shower had Mold in it, My Contact person was Horrible a car was parked under the carport and Contact didn't seemed to be to concerned about it the yard was almost up to your Knees high the 2 Kayaks were gross and full of water I texted 2 times and Messaged the Contact and never replied back Very disappointed i would like 1/2 of my money back if not i will be Contacting my Credit card Company to file a dispute

Relaxing Trip at Gathering on the Bend

We spent a relaxing week at this property. The location & views were amazing. This summer's intense heat dome was in full force during our stay, but the house was clean & comfortable, while the a/c was icy cold in response to 100+ degree temperatures! While I spent my time indoors or on the shady back porch, both my husband & 14-year-old grandson tackled fishing & kayaking. We didn't catch any fish but hope to return when the weather is cooler. Jill was a responsive host & answered my questions promptly. She kindly gave us a late checkout. TIPS: Be aware this area is quite remote & the nearest "big" grocery store (Brookshire Brothers) is approximately 20 miles away in Center, TX. I'd recommend bringing food & supplies with you or making a grocery run on your way to the home. If you forget anything, "Trail's End" is a small convenience store just minutes away & their country-style restaurant was very reasonable & good. They even serve made-to-order Hunt's Pizza for a quick snack. If you drive to Center for groceries, be sure to try TCS Bistro for a leisurely lunch or dinner. I wanted to address a previous review stating that the location was a "trailer park setting.” While many nearby homes are "trailers" or mobile homes, we felt very safe & the neighbors were welcoming & friendly. Many of these homes appeared to be "weekend getaways" & were well cared for. You'll see why people love this area out on the bay having a blast - fishing, boating, kayaking & riding jet skis!

R&R,and fishing

Great location! Clean property, spacious and quiet. Used the grill every night. Just simply enjoyed are stay. We will look into getting a fishing guide next time!
