A perfect stay in Lake Louise

My husband and I came here to explore Lake Louise and absolutely loved this place! Perfect location close to everything we needed. It was also cozy and warm when the temps outside were unprecedented and freezing. We utilized the hot tub and our fireplace and had the best time here. Would definitely stay here again!

The room was fine - clean, well equipped except for the Murphy bed. The mattress was horrible. The location is nice - there is not much in the area though so be prepared to bring groceries etc.

Canadian Rockies

Location, location, location. Easy access to ski Lake Louise and an easy drive to Sunshine Village. Unit is clean and efficient. Everything you could want for a fantastic ski vacation.

Lake Louise visit

The property was very clean. The host was responsive to my requests and questions. The location was great. The pull out bed was not the most comfortable, but that was stated in the contract. Overall we enjoyed our stay, thank you.

Lovely

The front desk manager upgraded us upon check-in, which was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our unit was clean and neat and well taken care of. Housekeeping took care of all our needs and kept the place clean despite the weather. The gazebo and s’mores on Saturday were a great touch. We will definitely stay again!

Positives - liked the layout and look of the studio apartment- nice sized bathroom and tub, nice kitchen, open floorplan, nice to have a deck with two chairs, cute buildings, lodgy, camp-like feel to the property, nice icemaker and to have laundry access, Property resonded quickly to complaints. Good pizza at the lodge restaurant. Nice to have vegan options at the other restauarnt but we didn't eat dinner there because I didn't care for the dinner menu itself. Breakfast and lunch menus there looked good.The jacuzzi and changing rooms were nice. The main lodge was attractive and comfortable. Good location walable to Samson mall.Negatives- young and inexperienced staff gave us wrong info about local but which caused unwanted and uneeeded stress just after arrival. Murphy bed was horrible! thin mattress, flimsy and unsupportive, I slept on the couch both nights, Grateful my husband was able to sleep on it, because he would have had no where to sleep if not, See no reason not to have a full mattress. Carpet had no padding and was laid down in squares which seemed cheap. My husb and I each saw a rat at different times on the property near the suites. Kind of grossed us out. Elevator advertised nightly bonfires in the gondola- 1st night was closed for a private party. 2nd night, it was closed.Our TV wasn't working properly. Engineers showed up quite quickly but didn't fix it the first two times. Very pleasant, responsive and friendly but it took several times to fix.

Lake Louise

I actually didn’t get the exact room like the picture. This was a first for me with VRBO. It’s not really like a VRBO, but has amenities of a hotel.

Kitchen experience

For three people, they were not enough plates and mugs for two meals (even thow they were many closets empty. Beside that, we loved the view and our experience in Lake Louise!

Excellent location

Check in was slow and I noticed that other guest were receiving more information than I received from the person checking me in. The suite was very spacious and well equipped with everything that we needed. There was a full kitchen with lots of crockery and a dishwasher. The laundry was in the same building. The only disappointment was that the bed was a sofa bed, which was not apparent from the photograph. The other sofa was uncomfortable and not well placed to view the TV. WiFi was available. The location was perfect, just out side the village. There was a regular bus to Lake Louise from across the road from Lake Louise Inn.

Close to Visitor Center and Banff

We had a ground floor unit, and the furnishings and layout were just as shown in the photo. The kitchen was the best part with a full size frig and freezer and fairly well equipped kitchen. I did have to scrub a pan before it could be used, and a few of the appliances could have been wiped down a bit better. The small patio did provide a lovely place for some fresh air and easy access to the outdoors. You do have to check-in at the main lodge, which can take some time if a large group is doing so at the same time. Contactless check-in would be nice. The listing did indicate that the resort would charge $10/day but provide free bikes and shuttle service to Lake Louise and Lake Morraine. I don't believe we were charged, but we did have to pay for the shuttle which was $4 per person, each way. So the VRBO listing may need to be updated. It's also necessary to use the Parks Canada website to sign up for the shuttle, so be sure to do that asap...it fills quickly. The location worked great for us as we spent all our time exploring Banff and it was a good home base. A shopping center that contained a deli, coffee shop, grocery, post office, etc was an easy walk from the resort, which was also very convenient. The batteries in our front door died unexpectedly, essentially locking us out of our unit one day. Luckily, we were able to find someone from housekeeping that helped diagnose our issue and assisted us with requesting maintenance to replace the batteries. Maintenance responded quickly, and we were back in our unit within 15 minutes. We appreciated the quick response! The unit gets warm in the summer. A fan is provided and it was necessary. There can be some noise from other units, but ear plugs were also provided. Overall this unit worked well for our stay. The resort staff were friendly and helpful, and the property manager responded quickly to our questions prior to our arrival.
