A well appointed property conveniently located half way along the north side of the island.

La Basa is a well equipped modernised property in a good location for exploring the northern side of the island. The kitchen was particularly well equipped, the garden and pool well maintained and the Tramuntana mountains provide an attractive background view. The property is only a short walk to shops and the delightful centre of Soller, yet it is also a good starting point for a number of pleasant local walks. A car is best for exploring further afield. Some places may not look far on the map but take quite a long time to get there, because of large number of hairpin bends and winding roads. Car parking can be very difficult in popular places such as Valdemossa, Deia and Cala Sa Calabra, so consider visiting very early or late. The owner Kristien went out of her way to try to make sure everything was fine for our visit.

The most beautiful house and surroundings

This is a very beautiful house with the most lovely interior design. Fresh and so welcoming both indoors and outdoors. Lovely view from the garden over the mountains and surroundings. The house was very clean and there was nothing missing. It felt like we borrowed some friends house because of the lovely welcoming e-mail with all information we needed from Kristien and the welcoming fruits, snacks and chilled wine. It was perfectly situated within walking distance to the center of Sóller. A short ride to the beach and other lovely villages. We made lemonade out of the lemons we got and fresh orange juice every morning out of the oranges. Highly recommended!!!

Fabulous house, garden, surroundings and hosts.

We had an incredible stay in La Basa, as a family of five. Everything from the house, he interior decoration, the kitchen utensils, the garden, the surroundings with absolutely beautiful scenery was terrific. Adding on to this, the hosts were extremely communicative and helped us out with advice on anything at any time. We sure hope to come back!

Stylish and Modern Character Finca

We had a wonderful stay in Kristien & Nico's beautiful finca. I first emailed Kristien 12 months before our stay and she was always very prompt at getting back to me and especially helpful trying to find a week for us at her popular finca. They where there when we arrived so it was great to finally meet them and have a very helpful handover. The villa is very tastefully decorated, was immaculately clean and has everything and more than you could ever want. We have stayed in many holiday homes and this is without doubt the best equiped with plentiful quality bath and bed linen and heaps of crockery, glassware and cooking equipment. Especially loved the orange press, nespresso machine and VINTEC fridge! Great system having it fully stocked and pay for what you use. The pool and gardens are lovely and peaceful with fantastic views of the mountains and lots of spaces to relax. Soller old town is a flat 10min walk and the supermarket a 5min drive. We got a taxi from/to the airport and rented a car at Soller. We had a lot of luggage and doing it this way meant we could hire a smaller car for our stay there as the streets are very narrow! Just a couple of things to note - the stairs to the two upstairs bedrooms are very steep which is typical of this type of property. The BBQ is an open fire type - once again typical of this type of property but would be useful to have longer, better BBQ tools as it gets very hot! We were there in a heatwave and the Air-con in the master bedroom struggled to keep it cool. Minor things in an otherwise perfect stay! Thank you Kristien and Nico for a wonderful stay in your beautiful finca and for the lovely little touches like the complimentary snacks, oranges etc on arrival. So schön, dass man nie wieder weg will!

La Basa war vom ersten Augenblick an unser Zuhause. Es hat uns in die Arme genommen und eine Woche lang nicht mehr losgelassen. Und es lässt uns immer noch nicht los! Wir denken häufig an die Zeit in "unserem" perfekten Haus in Soller, "unserem" perfekten, authentisch gebliebenen Städtchen. Jeder Blick aus den Fenstern von La Basa, vom Balkon, vom Garten aus raubt den Atem. Mi casa su casa, Kristiens und Nicos Motto spürt man in jeder Ecke dieses wunderbaren Hauses. Wir können es kaum erwarten, wieder dort zu sein. Bis bald, wir kommen wieder! Karen und Familie

Einfach nur schön.......

Wir durften die ersten Fewo-direkt Gäste von dieser einzigartigen Finca sein. Als wir das Eingangstor öffneten waren wir überwältigt von der Atmosphäre, es war alles wunderschön und zwar von der ersten Minute an. Die Lage der Finca ist einfach perfekt, ruhig gelegen und dennoch erreicht man zu Fuß in 10 Minuten die Placa von Soller. Den Wecker kann man ruhig zu Hause lassen, am morgen wird man wie auf dem Lande von den Hähne geweckt, und das Schönste daran ist, man kann weiterhin im Bett liegen bleiben. Der Blick auf das Tramuntana Gebirge ist einfach überwältigend. Die Finca selbst ist so geschmackvoll und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, das man sich nicht als Gast sondern wie in seinem eigenen Zuhause fühlt. Egal ob drinnen oder draußen … überall erkennt man die Liebe zum Detail der Eigentümer. Ein großes Kompliment an die Eigentümer, sowohl für diese tolle Finca als auch für Ihr Engagement den Urlaub so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Der große Wintergarten, in der sich die Küche befindet, gibt einem zu jeder Zeit das Gefühl draußen zu sein. Die Küche ist wirklich mit allen Utensilien ausgestattet, die man sich als Koch nur wünschen kann. Nicht zu vergessen, ist der Weinschrank, der Inhalt wird den einen oder anderen Weinliebhaber sehr erfreuen. Die edlen, einheimischen Weine werden den Gästen zu extrem fairen Preisen offeriert. Diese Finca ist für Familien sehr zu empfehlen, durch den großen und überschaubaren Garten können die Kinder umherlaufen und sind immer in Sichtweite. Die Nächte wurden schon etwas kälter, daher haben wir es sehr genossen, dass die Finca nicht nur über einen gemütlichen Ofen sondern auch über eine Fußbodenheizung verfügt. Unser temporäres Zuhause bietet sowohl für den Sonnenanbeter als auch für den Schattensucher stets ein geeignetes Plätzchen. Es ist uns jeden Tag sehr schwer gefallen, dieses „Zuhause“ für einen Ausflug zu verlassen, denn wir hatten nicht das Gefühl irgendwas außerhalb zu verpassen. Ein Kleinod auf unserer Lieblingsinsel …
