Enjoy your summer vacation by staying at this 3 bedroom, 2 bath house on Lake of the Woods in Southwest Michigan (Decatur). Newly remodeled house with large backyard. Perfect family vacation getaway to enjoy the 300 acre all sports lake. Lake is also known for great fishing!

Enjoy the 2019 Avalon 21 ft pontoon boat (rented separately). There is no tubing or skiing permitted with the boat.

Kitchen is well appointed for your cooking needs. Living room has 60 inch flat screen and tvs in Master and Guest bedroom. Enjoy the lake side fire pit, cornhole, paddle boat and 2 Kayaks are available for your use as well.

Lots to do in the area, whether it is a day trip to St. Joe/South Haven to enjoy Lake Michigan, visiting the numerous wineries or casinos in the area, or a trip to one of the many great local golf courses.

Great location with beautiful sunsets on the lake

Cute lake house on beautiful lake. Master bedroom and bath were very nice. 2nd bedroom with queen was fine. Bunk bed "closet" was tiny. Great, fast communication. Easy check-in, check-out. Would stay again, great location.

Great cottage

We came down for family birthday party and stayed at this house/cottage. Ryan was very easy to work with. Easy in and out. Clean, quiet, good beds, shampoo, conditioner and bath soap provided as well as starter TP paper, Keurig coffee, and garbage bags. Would not hesitate to rent again! Rented the pontoon as well. Very nice and clean. Lake is easy to get around in.

Lake Life in Michigan

No-frills and no-issues created a relaxing time at the beach. Not much to do other than cruise the lake and relax. Just what the doctor ordered. Family had a great time and hope to make this an annual event. Plan on a 5 min drive into Decatur for staples (ie groceries, brewery, bug spray, etc) with most restaurants/sites 25 min+ drive. PS- rent the pontoon boat! Enjoyed by all.

2024 Michigan Memories Made

We enjoyed the homey, clean, quiet & comfortable home on the lake. The kids and dogs loved playing in the extra room off the kitchen. We took advantage of the pontoon boat which was a favorite daily activity except the last day due to rain. S’mores by the lake side fire pit were so toasty :)! More Michigan memories made!

Great house and lake

Had a great time. House was clean and on a quiet part of the lake. Thoroughly enjoyed the pontoon and the kayaks. Ryan was responsive and helpful. Looking forward to coming back.

Relaxing Trip

We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing trip to the Lake of the Woods. The lake was clear and the sunsets beautiful. They housing was very clean and the details in the ad were accurate. Watching the sunset from the back porch was a plus. Check in and check out was very easy and the host was accessible when needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay!

Just what we were looking for! We wanted a cozy, lakeside property in Decatur. This property was clean and conveniently located for exploring the area antique shops, wineries, breweries, and farmers markets. We loved the large kitchen table for eating and game nights. The house was clean and well stocked, with a relaxing deck and fire pit. We enjoyed watching the swans frolic in the lake, as well as the fishing of the boat dock. It was so nice having access to the paddle boat and kayaks. Overall, we loved our stay!

Nice and qozy home on the quiet lake

We like this place - very nice and clean home on the beautiful quiet lake. Home has enought space for all of our needs and direct access to the lake where you can use your boat or rent one. Good fishing and lot of other fun! Will go back next year!

Great Spot!

Our recent stay at the charming lake house was a great experience. The property, nestled by the tranquil waters, offered picturesque views and a warm, inviting vibe that instantly made us feel at home. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the array of water activities, courtesy of the on-site paddle boat and kayaks. These provided hours of fun and exploration. The house itself was well-maintained and spacious, comfortably accommodating our group.

Great spot on the Lake

I recommend you stay here. There were 6 of us. Ryan was a great host. We rented his pontoon boat. It was fantastic. Place was clean.

Awesome property right on the lake.

Good size house, very clean, great location, and right on the lake with option to rent a pontoon boat. The owner was very responsive and answered any questions we had during our stay. Definitely renting again!

Relaxing on the lake

We had a wonderful and relaxing week! The house is very cute and Ryann is very accommodating; he came over to show us how to use the boat. My only “complaint” would be the lily pads and seaweed around the dock. My kids were not able to jump off the dock into the water due to the seaweed and lily pads but fortunately we rented the boat and were able to go a few feet out an anchor, so the kids can swim off the boat.

Nice Stay Lake Woods

While our stay was short it was filled with fun and adventures the whole time. Festival was a nice change of pace for us. Very beautiful area, well worth the trip.

Great location

We did kayaking, fishing, cornhole, smores over the firepit, and bbq'd every day. The water is spectacular. Rent the pontoon boat. There's nothing like being on a boat on a lake. Ryan had all the necessities needed in the kitchen. Just enough space for six of us. I would recommend a bigger second bathroon. It was a little tight. Any questions I had, Ryan was quick to answer. Overall, great place to rent.

Great Location on Private Lake

I was in town to visit with my son who is in MI playing soccer. This home was a good location for us as it was in between the town he’s living in for the summer and the beach so it was a win win. Ryan was very nice and easy to communicate with.

Lakeside relaxation

Very nice property, though the second bathroom was a little small for 6 adults. Being able to rent the pontoon was a definite plus along with my in-laws being able to bring their dog! Very relaxing and peaceful, which we all needed. Would definitely stay again!

Mini vacation

This was my first time on Vrbo and Ryan really helped me a lot with the whole process. Very quick to respond. The house is beautiful and nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable. We rented the pontoon boat and loved every minute of using it. It was perfect for going put fishing, cruising around the lake or taking it to the public beach for a swim. I would highly recommend this house and Ryan

Such a Wonderful, PEACEFUL family vacation!

My family (4 adults and 2 kids) stayed at this beautiful home and it was perfect! The home is clean, recently updated, and on a large oversized lot. It was so nice and quiet outside; just what we were looking for. Everything you need is supplied in this home. I would only suggest having a few more kitchen towels available for dishes but other than that, no suggestions or any changes needed. Ryan the owner was very responsive to messages and checked in with us often to make sure everything was ok. We didn't get to rent the pontoon boat, but probably will next year so we can swim in the deeper water. Oh, and this home is DOG FRIENDLY!! You don't find that often with newly renovated rental homes. In summary, I would 100% recommend this home to multigenerational families looking for a great, peaceful vaction! We cannot wait to stay again next year! Thanks again Ryan!
