Studio style Cabana on the river


Cozy studio style cabana on the Mermentau River, sleeps up to 4 adults. This cabana offers gorgeous views of the Mermentau River as well as scenic swamp views. Relax on the large deck over the water while you enjoy the sunrise and/or sunset. Deck has plenty of seating as well as a grill area. Private boat launch on site, plenty of parking available to our renters. This studio style apartment is very private, offers guests a full kitchen, full size bathroom, queen bed, sofa in sitting area, breakfast table and stools, outdoor screened in patio with seating and grill. Outside of the cabana we offer a fire pit with plenty of chairs as well as a picnic table to enjoy your meals outside while taking in the beautiful view! No laundry room accessible.
We do offer kayak rental add on! Kayaks are $25 per day per kayak and includes life jacket and paddle.

Our stay on the river in Mermentau was relaxing and enjoyable in every way. The high quality furnishings and appliances were better than any stay we have booked in the past, and the decor was so tasteful and fun. The outdoor areas were also very cared for and well maintained. We had interaction with the owner, Brad, who went above and beyond to make sure our experience was a good one. 10/10 we will be back!

Acadiana holds a special place in our heart. We found the perfect getaway with the most beautiful atmosphere with old moss draped majestic oaks, the Mermentau River on site and a very caring owner Brad. We rented Anchors Away and it had everything we needed. We loved sitting on the covered dock for Happy Hour and having our coffee on the screened patio. The place was as described, and decorated in a cute nautical theme. It was so peaceful watching the fish jumping and birds flying around. Brad has a dock and it was fun watching the boats go up and down the river. C’est Bon is a great family owned Cajun restaurant, very low key and is just around the corner. The food was very good. We do plan to return again perhaps in the fall or spring.

Beautiful, peaceful area with lots of outdoor space to enjoy! While there, don’t miss the opportunity to eat at C’est Bon and spend as much time as possible out by the river! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful, relaxing retreat

Our family stayed here over Easter weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The grounds are beautiful and the house charming. The kids loved the dock and the adults loved sitting in the screened-in porch watching the barges go by. We will be back!

What a great little hidden gem. This little waterfront getaway is perfect, whether your looking for a quiet getaway or a place to stay for local events. The cabin is perfectly decorated and has all of the amenities of home. This will definitely be our go to when we are staying in the area.

We had an amazing time in the tiny home perfect for the two of us. Sitting under the stars, a fire in the pit, and the view were all absolutely stunning. We came into town for a family reunion, and would for sure stay again!

Relaxing

Such a beautiful, relaxing 51st anniversary trip. Place was everything we hoped it would be.Fishing was excellent , so much fun. Would loved to return one day!

Excellent property

This property is great! We stay in many VRBO’s and this was by far one of our favorites. The owner, Brad is very friendly and accommodating. We very much enjoyed our stay and will go back! When you go, make sure to go eat at C’est Bon!

peaceful retreat

The property is beautiful and well manicured. A very peaceful and quiet place to relax. The bed was very comfortable, everything we needed was available and it was very nicely decorated. We are looking forward to rebooking in the near future.

The cottage was all we needed and the view from the deck on the River is always a beautiful sight in all directions.We have stayed in one of the Studio's before and Brad has always been a great Host! We enjoy our selves very much.!!!

Really peaceful getaway spot. Cabin was small but perfect for the two of us. Property and cabin were well kept and the location was about as peaceful as it can get. Caught a couple of fish and the dock was well equipped for cleaning and scaling them on the spot. Communication with the host was great as well (I probably bugged them more than necessay). Will definitely look to stay here again for a weekend getaway in the future! Highly recommend.

The property was very clean, cute and conveniently located close to everything. View of river was good and it was a nice get away. The dock over the water is 2nd to none. Local restaurants were fantastic and went to see a play at the Strand. The only negative that I can say it that when sitting in the screen patio, the AC of the unit drowns out the peacefulness, then again, this is South Louisiana.

Would recommend!

Took a small get away with my husband and our two dogs. The dog apartment with the dog run allowed us to know our dogs were safe while we went out and about. The house has every thing we needed and was comfortable. Communication was great!
