Beautiful Lakefront Home - Steps Away from the Water

Our lake house is just steps away from the water! It is located directly on beautiful Lake Santeetlah in a quiet area only three miles from the city of Robbinsville. Lake Santeetlah covers 2,800 acres and has over 80 miles of shoreline, of which 80% is in the Nantahala National Forest. Sleeping arrangements - Main floor has one bedroom with a king bed and full bath. Upstairs has two bedrooms and a full bath. One king and one queen. Downstairs there is one queen bed, set of bunks and full bath. Also, sitting area with tv.
Perfect for a quiet mountain lake escape, family retreat, or fun get together with friends. Swim and fish off the private dock or explore the immediate area. There is no shortage of activities for the adventurous! Enjoy an outdoorsman’s paradise with all your boating needs from Santeetlah Marina & Outfitters(828-479-8180). Whitewater rafting on the Nantahala, day hiking on the Appalachian Trail, and cycling at Tsali. The Biltmore Estate near Asheville is 90 miles away. For more information call 678-525-7992

Lovely Lake Santeetlah for Thanksgiving

We had good communication with the host before our visit. It was our first family trip to Lake Santeetlah, although my son was familiar with it from kayaking Cheoah River. I recommend side trips to Joyce Kilmer Forest and its giant 400+ year old poplar trees as well as the Tapoco Tavern. The pictures of the house are accurate and being right on the water would be super in the summer.

Incredible Lake House

Our group takes an annual trip to the Dragon and we've always wanted to rent a house on the water, this place blew us away! Inside the rooms are spacious and well equipped, we appreciated the well stocked cookware when making meals for everyone. The twin porches were wonderful for enjoying the weather day or night, and the dock was a huge highlight. We spent hours swimming and kayaking, everyone had a great time and commented on what an awesome place to stay we booked. We will absolutely be coming here again!

Annual Lake Santeetlah trip

This is our second year renting this house. It’s beautiful, comfortable, spotlessly clean. It has a great dock and screened porch. Very nice property!

Family Time

The lake house was perfect for our family. The house had everything we needed. The kids loved the downstairs, with the bunk beds. The ease of getting to the lake was amazing. We spent many hours swimming off the dock. Some might complain of the spotty Internet and cell service, personally I loved our family being a little disconnected from the world. Thank you for sharing your home with us

Lake Santeetlah Cottage

Comfortable house on gorgeous Lake Santeetlah! Well stocked kitchen, beautifully maintained, personal dock and kayaks. Felt like we were staying at a “home” and not a rental.

Great lake access

I was there with my 2 adult children and their spouses, including my 19 month old grandson. The house was perfect for us. Three separate sleeping spaces and baths gave all of us plenty of space and privacy. The house is beautiful and comfortable. We are accustomed to a view of the mountains, but the creek had a nice view and was close to the big water. The house is also close to town/grocery store. Great dock! We kayaked, rented a pontoon boat for 1 day, and swam off the dock. We thoroughly enjoyed the screened porch. The host was totally accessible and responsive the few questions that I had.

Lake Front Vaca

We loved our stay here! Everything was clean and orderly. So many provisions. Communication with the owner was great. The location and access to the water and dock can’t be beat (just a few steps down from where the kayaks are stored). Wonderful screened in porch with comfortable seating; endless views as the sun changed over the course of the day.

Water Ski Vacation

Came hear with 7 adults and an infant. House fit us perfectly. House was clean and porches were perfect for lounging around. Dock was great as we could keep the boat at the house to ski every morning.

Lovely, comfortable home

Beautiful home! The weather was not great so we didn’t get to enjoy the lake as much as hoped for, but the home was great, well-appointed and offered several spaces for socializing for kids to play and adults to hang out and visit for our birthday lake trip with children :)

Great House

At first the house seemed small. As we settled in and the family began to occupy the house, it became clear that there were many options to gather. The best place was the screened porch overlooking the lake. We ate meals on the porch and lounged on the couch/chairs watching the changes in the sky, water, and family laughing and splashing in the water off the dock. So, it wasn't small at all! It was great to have a variety of places to be alone, with a few people, or the whole gang! Owner was great to talk with as well. It's a great house!

Another perfect stay

3rd year in a row renting this beautiful home for a nice relaxing family vacation. Great dock for swimming off of or docking your boat rental. Location is awesome. Robbinsville is very laid back so great place to get away from it all and just enjoy family. House has everything you need. Two bedrooms upstairs. One on the main floor and a bonus room downstairs that has a queen bed and bunkbeds. Lake Santeetlah is peaceful. Never too many boats or too busy. Will be back again next year!!

Wonderful get away.

Wonderful Lakefront Property

We had a great week. Spent most of our days boating, e-foiling, and paddleboarding and most of our evenings sitting on the dock and watching the water, birds, and fish. Location, neighborhood and property were great. Everything was clean, working properly, and comfortable.

Perfect lake house for a long weekend

Loved every bit of our stay! The house was so cute and comfy, and the perfect size for our group of 4 adults, 2 young adults, and 2 teens. It was so nice to get down to the water without needing to climb up and down a million stairs! Super easy run to ingles for anything we forgot, and just about 25 minutes from Joyce Kilmer memorial forest. The perfect home for our long weekend getaway!

Family getaway

We were looking to go on a family getaway during Christmas break. Our oldest is back from his first year of college and we really wanted some special time with him. Originally we were looking in the Chattanooga area, but there was nothing available that caught our eye. Then we found the lake house in Robbinsville. And what a find it was! The house is impeccable and the owners, Ron and Gail, are the best! They are gracious, available, and very kind. Everything that you hope a VRBO host would be. From that location we drove to Chattanooga and did Rock City. The next day we got up early and went to Asheville. We had lunch downtown and spent the afternoon and evening at The Biltmore. The next day we hiked up to the nearby falls and then drove the Skyway and Tail of the Dragon. We got back late and afternoon and enjoyed sitting on the porch. It was perfect and exactly what our family needed. Thank you Ron and Gaul!
