Great property and location

We greatly enjoyed our time at this property. It is in a quiet location on the edge of Pedrogao Grande, a pleasant small town, and well placed for exploring the region, there are many excellent walks within a short drive, as well as river beaches, many small towns and historic sites to explore, and the delightful city of Coimbra. The property is comfortable, spacious and has great views over the valley. We would have no hesitation in recommending.

Country House

Well equipped , comfordable with interesting fruitful garden, only suggestion would for a BBQ and perhaps a better cooker ! A very peaceful area mainly forested. We enjoyed our stay

Heerlijke week gehad.

We zijn heel blij dat we deze woning gehuurd hebben. Mooi huis ,fraai gelegen. Schitterend uitzicht, prettig dorp. Komen graag nog eens terug.

Sehr schönes Häuschen in ruhiger Umgebung

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt. Das Ferienhaus ist bestens ausgestatt hat 2 Terassen und eine kleinen Garten. Die Übergabe hat reibungslos geklappt. Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig und wirklich perfekt zum Ausspannen. Vielen Dank

Das Haus ist schön eingerichtet. Man hat einen wunderschönen Blick von der Terrasse. Der Garten ist herrlich angelegt. Wir waren mit allem sehr zufrieden und kommen wieder.

Hidden Gem

Our first time in Portugal was delightful. Situated in the most incredible location, with stunning views over the mountainous ranges of Pedrogao Grande, this property was secluded from what seemed like the rest of the world. We felt like we were in our own private paradise. Walks to the local town centre were only 15 minutes away by foot. People were extremely friendly and accommodating to our growing use of the Portuguese language. There was a fantastic range of breads and pastries available at the local bakery/patisserie. The prices were a steal, too. During our 9 day stay we went for local walks twice a day. Nearby you will find natural rock pools to swim in, a sectioned off part of the lake also. There are a few good restaurants littered in the centre of Pedrogao Grande, Taberno De Ferrador being the best we came across. House was delightful. If you are in need of stripped back and simple holiday to unwind and unplug, you'll find this place caters to your needs 100%.

Ideale plek om tot rust te komen

We hebben het erg naar ons zin gehad. Helaas was het heel erg warm toen wij er waren (38 graden), waardoor de tuin gewoon te warm was om te gebruiken en binnen was het ook aan de warme kant. Dus een zwembad ter afkoeling was lekker geweest, die misten we af en toe wel. Maar het is verder een heerlijk huis: mooi, schoon en heel stijlvol ingericht. We voelden ons er meteen helemaal thuis. En de omgeving is ook heel mooi: de berg, het uitzicht en het is er heerlijk rustig. De ideale plek om tot rust te komen. De eigenaren zijn ook zeer vriendelijk en altijd bereikbaar. Als het iets koeler is, komen we graag nog eens terug.

Lovely home, great spot.

If you like hiking combined with good food and trips to historical places, this house is a great starting point. At the end of a (warm) day it is also a great place to relax and enjoy the view.

logement conforme aux photos et à la description

le problème est qu'il n'y a rien à faire ni à visiter. Coté rando très peu, qui tournent autour de la zézère. pour la baignade c'est nul, une minuscule piscine flottante pour une dizaine d'enfants. Les accès au lacs sont rares le long du chemin qui longe ce lac et désagréables donc pas de baignades ni dans la zézere où senor nuno nous a déconseillé cause danger! loin de tout, galère pour faire ses courses; à pégrogao une très petite supérette où l'on ne trouve rien, sinon à 15km un intermarché (côté dépaysement on fait mieux). Le marché du lundi est très restrictif; que des légumes andalous....peu de choses intéressantes à acheter un petit point noir sur la location: le branchement des plaques à induction est à revoir. tout est en fils volants avec multiprises, côté sécurité et conformité on fait mieux.

Excellent séjour dans un environnement magnifique

La description de l'annonce était parfaitement exacte. Nous n'avons pas été déçus bien au contraire.le paysage et la campagne environnante étaient somptueux . Nous recommandons cette adresse aux personnes qui aiment le calme , les belles balades. Nous avons reçu un accueil sympathique et gentil. Nous avons aussi beaucoup aimé la ville dev Coimbra et les monastères des environs

Prachtige plek om tot rust te komen!

We hebben een plezierig verblijf gehad gedurende negen dagen. De communicatie verliep goed. Prachtig uitzicht vanaf het grote balkon, we hebben er veel gezeten onder de grote parasol, we troffen heerlijk zonnig weer al die dagen. We hebben geen gebruik gemaakt van de fiets maar gingen soms lopend naar het dorp, half uur. We aten nogal eens in restaurant "0 Emigrante" bij Sylvia, vaak een goed dagmenu voor een lage prijs met een lekker karafje wijn erbij. Verder wel een leuk dorpje met op maandagmorgen de markt. Vriendelijke mensen die Portugezen. Graag gingen we naar de pastellaria voor een kopje koffie met Portugese lekkernijen en de wifi... Mooie wandelingen te maken in de buurt, hebben dat 1 keer gedaan, goede bewegwijzering. We zijn ook een dagje naar de kust gereden, 5 kwartier, goed te doen. Binnen in het huis bleef het lekker koel. We hebben prima geslapen. Vlakbij loopt een verkeersweg maar we hebben daar geen geluidsoverlast van gehad. In de tuin een keer een citroen geplukt en daarmee lekker romige citroenyoghurt gemaakt. We konden er lekker relaxen. Soms sloegen de honden van de buren aan maar dat gaat ook weer over. Het huis was schoon. De koelkast niet helemaal maar dat kan een keer gebeuren. Ik beveel de woning zeker aan, echt nog een redelijk authentiek stukje Portugal!

Schönes kleines Domizil zum Wohlfühlen

Ein sehr schönes kleines Häuschen, von dessen Terrasse man einen tollen Blick in die Ferne und in die Berge hat. Alles war sauber und zum Kochen war auch alles da (außer ein Backofen), wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch die Umgebung ist sehr schön zum Wandern (wenn es denn nicht regnet) mit dem Zezere. Die Kommunikation mit den Eigentümern hat auch super geklappt. Alles in allem: top!

Auch im November zu Empfehlen

Ruhiges Ferienkaus direkt im Grünen, liebevoll sanierte Ruine mit modernem Anbau auf einer Art Sonnenterrasse mit gutem Fernblick. Optimale Sonnenausrichtung. Hier konnten wir gut Abschalten. Alles was man braucht gibt es im Ort, ca. 1Km entfernt. Wir waren das erste Mal in Portugal, leider nur 7 Tage und das auch noch im November, aber es hat sich gelohnt. Wir (2 Personen) kommen gerne wieder.

Country retreat!

Lots of positives about this great little rural house. Fantastic panoramic views from the roof terrace. The garden was a lovely place to explore, lots of flowers & fresh fruit - passion fruit, grapes, pears, figs. The hammock was so relaxing & comfy! The large sitting room was a great room with views from all of the large glass doors & windows which lead on to the small but adequate terrace with comfy sun beds & a large parasol. Everywhere was very clean on our arrival, with clean bedding & towels. All appliances worked, induction hob was a little tricky to master - instructions were in German! But we got the hang of it. A small oven or gas barbecue would have been a welcome addition to the kitchen :-) as we were a little limited on what we could cook. The house is perfectly situated - the walk to the village is about a 20 minute stroll. It was a shame there was only one bike as we would have liked to have cycled there. Also, there are several walks in the area which are easy to follow. We did the one down through the woods to the river. There are checkpoints along the way with viewing points & informaton boards. We drove to the dam, which is a must. It's a real feat of engineering, really breathtaking. The key holder was friendly & reliable and easy to contact. We had a lovely, hot, relaxing stay on our first Portuguese holiday, thank you 😀

First Class!

With a modern extension that overlooks a magnificent view juxtaposing nicely with the tastefully decorated original house, this property was just what we needed as a base to explore the magnificent heart of Portugal. Martin, the owner, is friendly and helpful and he even has a pretty good taste in music - so much so, that a vast library contained on a memory stick left in the stereo got played numerous times! We wouldn't hesitate to return.
