Jim and Annie are so very generous with their property. Just a lovely couple rented a lovely house. The backyard is stunning. Inside the house is everything you need to start your holiday right. Even a washer dryer. It was a perfect vacation and I had 7 people on this one. Everyone had their space when needed.

Perfect Family Stay

This was our second stay here, and it was again wonderful. Our hosts were very helpful and welcomed us with treats and recommendations. The house is beautiful and only a short drive from lots of sights (Rock of Cashel, The Burren, Fanore Beach).

Family Ireland Trip

7 of us were here, only regret is that we didnt stay longer. Everything as advertised and more, wonderful place and hosts.

Beautiful home with all you need to have a good time. We traveled throughout Ireland and this house was the best.

Amazing property and wonderful host!

I cannot say enough about the location, cleanliness and quality of this home! Close to Lough Derg and tolerable drive to cliffs of Moher, the burren and many other sites. Jim is an amazing host an made sure the home was well stocked for our arrival! I highly recommend this home!

Wonderful place to explore Lough Derg and even Cliffs of Mohr

This home is a wonderful base to explore Lough Derg and even the Cliffs of Mohr. It is spacious, light, has a great connection to the outdoors, is well maintained and very clean. The hosts, Jim and Annie couldn’t be more gracious with a nice welcome , thoughtful local snacks and coffee/tea and great recommendations for exploring the area if you’d like them. Wonderful stay!

A Lovely Place

Other reviews are perfect examples of this place. Was so nice, so clean and comfortable for our young kids and grandparents. Layout of the house is great. And they have the best toys for children. Jim and Annie were great hosts and went out of their way to ensure our stay was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay! We really enjoyed the house, very spacious with several rooms. The large garden offered a beautiful view of the lake from the lawn. There were also plenty of toys and games in the house for the children to play with. Jim was very hospitable and had arranged some groceries for us upon arrival. The location was perfect for us to explore both the west coast and the south coast of Ireland, and there was also plenty to do closer to the house.

A beautiful spot

House and location are even better than advertised. A completely modern home that is spotless. We had a couple minor issues and our host was incredibly responsive, which is all you can ask for. Great house, great host and a 2-minute drive down to lovely Mountshannon.

Grand vacation

The house was well appointed, very clean and located on beautiful grounds with a garden and plenty of outside space to enjoy the view of Lough Derg. Our hosts,Jim and Annie, could not have been more helpful, kind and gracious. They anticipated and provided for every need. We stayed for a month and wouldn't change a thing about our stay.

Perfect vacation!

From the beginning to the end our stay at Jim and Annies house, everything was just perfect!! We loved coming back after a long day of a sightseeing and unwinding there. We have traveled often and stayed at many AirB&Bs, but this is by far one of our favorites! They even stocked the fridge with staples and snacks and delicious bottles of wine!! Also Jim drove us to town for supplies the very first day as we didn’t have our car yet! Can’t wait to go back and visit them again someday!

Don't miss this home!

We recently stayed here and could not have been happier. The home is gorgeous, well maintained, having everything you could possibly want during your stay. The views are tremendous. The layout of the home was so well designed and spacious. It is centrally located to so many wonderful places that we just did not want to leave. Our host was wonderful and helpful in every way. We took advantage of the wonderful garden for meals. This place is not to be missed.

Thanks so much for a lovely review. The local village just won the Silver award ( having previously won gold - they spread it around!) in the Irish Tidy Towns Competition. It is a magical place, and we simply love having the facility for lots of people to base themselves here and have a great time. Hope to see you back soon again.

Amazing home and host.

From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. Jim met us and gave a tour of his beautiful and well-stocked house. Our daughter became engaged there in front of the picturesque lake on the property. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Thanks Jim for sharing your wonderful home.

Ireland vacation

WOW!!! Jim was a fantastic host!! The home exceeded our expectations! So beautiful and had everything we needed and more! Jim went above and beyond with all the goodies he left upon our arrival and had great suggestions about what to see and do in the surrounding areas! Overall FANTASTIC!

Wonderful short break

What a wonderful place to stay. The moment we arrived, James was so welcoming and really helped familiarise us with the property and area. James’ tips for seeing the coastline were second to none and the tip to eat at Linnane’s in New Quay as we reached the end of our coastal tour was perfection. The house is beautifully appointed and so well equipped. The setting is perfect, peaceful and has great views. We had a great BBQ one evening and didn’t want to leave. Thank you James for your amazing tips, we really enjoyed our trip.

Beautiful house in Mountshannon

We had a truly wonderful stay at Mountshannon. The host, Jim, met us at check in and also provided really helpful advice and tips for day trips and places to eat. The house is beautiful, spacious, bright and very well designed. We took one day just to stay in the local area and enjoy the house. The location is right next to Lough Derg and there are lots of interesting places to visit nearby and also it is within driving distance of the Cliffs of Moher. We spent over two weeks in Ireland and Jim’s house in Mountshannon was our last stop and definitely the highlight.

A Delightful Week in Mountshannon

This home and its owner are absolute delights. The home is warm and exceedingly comfortable with all the creature comforts and a wonderful view of Lough Derg. Day trips to Galway, Ennis, the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, Limerick and many other locations are easily made. We were met with warm scones fresh out of the oven upon arrival and greatly enjoyed our informative conversations with the landlord throughout our stay. We couldn't recommend this beautiful Mountshannon home more highly!

Home Away From Home

I cannot begin to express the incredible experience we had staying in Jim and Annie's vrbo. The house is absolutely incredible, the pictures cannot do justice for the peace and beauty of the property.The town is darling and the location is perfect for must-do day trips like the Cliffs of Moher. Mostly, the hospitality brings a true unforgettable Irish experience. We were welcomed with staples in the fridge and a bottle of wine to make for a relaxing evening for adults and children alike. Jim gave recommendations based on what we wanted to see and every tip he suggested proved to be perfect. We felt like we were leaving family at the end of our stay. We could not have asked for a more beautiful home along with the most gracious hosts.
