Clean and accommodating place to stay! Enjoyed the mix of modern and antique furniture and touches throughout the place. Had plenty of room for everyone in our party.

Second time our group stayed at the Barndo. Clean and comfortable. Nice kitchen with many amenities. and bathrooms. Living area is large and accommodated our group of 6. Bedrooms smallish but overall comfortable. The convenience shop below the unit came in handy as well!. Only complaint is the wifi was spotty at best which was an issue being several of needed to partake in business meetings

Convenient Place To Stay

We stayed here with friends and family during our wedding weekend. It was incredibly convenient being 4 minutes away from our venue! House was very clean and spacious for 10 people.

Perfect place to stay during fall Carlisle

The four bedroom apt above The Pantry Store was a perfect place to stay while we were at the fall Carlisle event. The parking lot had enough room to park our truck and trailer and the apartment was not only extremely clean, but also spacious enough for several people. Mary was a gracious host and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again!!

Comfortable, spacious, peaceful escape from normal urban rat race. The owner is delightful and the convenience store below has some pleasant surprises. We hope to be able to stay there again next trip.

Fantastic stay!

This is a great property. It is exactly as listed! Very clean and the property owner is wonderful. If you are in the area and have a large party, I would highly recommend. The owner also has a deli downstairs and it is AMAZING! You should definitely stop in and try the food.

This facility about 20 minutes north of Carlisle is a really great place to meet and hang with family and friends. It's a spacious and open floor plan in a quite small town in Central PA. The host is very responsive the the rental included all your needs from bedding to towels and includes a washer dryer and other full size appliances. The Host Mary is easy to get in touch with if you contact her before the rental. The dining area just oof the kitchen is very large and can seat many family members. There is a pool table in the large main room, but the table is in need of some TLC due to maybe some inexperienced users... but we enjoyed playing a number of games on the table. One drawback is the WiFi and cellular service. There is zero cellular service inside or outside the unit, you have to drive toward Carlisle to get service. Also, the WiFi in the unit is slow and week since it has to be used for voice over WiFi as well as any streaming, The unit could use a higher power WiFi and some repeaters in other rooms as it only works in the main living room area.Overall the unit is GREAT and we had a good time and a nice host.

Such a terrific place to stay!

The property was immaculate and had everything we needed and more. I was worried we would not be able to find the space we needed for our family reunion. This was perfect! Plenty of room for all. Mary was very communicative with us and thoughtfully provided so many comforts for us. We would definitely stay here again!

Newville Barndo!

Mary was our [gracious] host and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The barndo was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. Huge family/living room with large flat screen tv and a pool table. Balcony with a grill [for our steaks & bbq chicken] paired with a large kitchen and table that seats [at least] 8. Deli & convenience store below and close to Carlisle for the event we attended. Quiet and with 4 bedrooms we had our private space as well. Would certainly entertain a return visit!

Corvette's at Carlisle 2023

This barndominium over a great country store is the perfect place for friends or family. We booked this rental for a 3 day weekend and communication with the owner was amazing she answered every question we had. The place was supplied with everything needed for the stay with exception of food. It was clean updated with WiFi and d apool table. Even tho we brought food with us as always we forgot something and the Pantry Barn below was there for anything we needed. If you are planing a vacation anywhere close to Carlisle PA then this is the place to stay. Thank you again for the wonderful stay cant wait till next year.

Myself and 3 other guys rented this property for the Ford Nationals. Plenty of space in the living room for everyone to relax comfortably. All the bedrooms were plenty big and the beds were comfortable. Huge dining room that we didnt really use but it would comfortably seat 8-10 people it looked like. Location was very convenient to Carlisle. Only about 15 minutes to anything in Carlisle. Only 2 very small complaints we had, but after discussing with everyone from my group, these are not things that would prohibit us from renting the property again.- The wifi only works in the main living room. It doesn't work in any of the bedrooms or the kitchen area. This is a bit of an issue because cell service at the location is non existent. - The country store below is pretty audible from the rental above. There is a doorbell that goes off everytime the door opens and you can definitely hear it. Overall the rental was very nice, price was reasonable, the location was very convenient, and there was plenty of parking.Would rent again.

I’m sorry about the WiFi! I looked into why no service through the entire building and it was because the router had been moved from its original location and I was unaware of the service interruption in the bedroom and kitchen I has been corrected! The store below turned down the doorbell volume and it’s not open 24hrs, thank goodness! . I’m also sorry about the cell service outside being lower, but in certain spots up on that huge deck, it’s good enough for a call outside with my service, AT&T. Our little town of Bloserville is located along the mountain’s edge and you won’t hear the trucks driving all night long as you would at a hotel alongside the big highway. A rooster might wake you up, tho! I’m glad you enjoyed your stay otherwise and come back anytime!

A boys weekend.

This place was perfect for a weekend getaway with old college friends. 4 bedrooms and room to sleep 5 adult men. Great kitchen and dining area. An awesome main game room/tv area for watching football all weekend. Yes, it's out in the country. Perfect. We didn't feel like we were going to bother anyone, and town was close by to grab a good lunch at a bar and watch some more games. I would recommend bringing food and supplies with you. Pizza will reheat and chicken wings are just as good cold.

Unique place off the beaten path

Four of us returned to our reunion at Dickinson College. We stayed in the Barndominium which was a unique place. Comfortable, roomy and updated technology were all plusses as well as the pool table. The bedrooms, other than the master, are small and the furniture dated but overall, fit the decor of an updated barn. We used the deck in the morning. Only negative from our standpoint was the location (20 minutes from Carlisle in Bloserville which is very rural) as opposed to the actual home. Would return

Great place!

Had a great time at this place. We were there as a church staff, attending a conference at Bongiorno Conference Center. I only wish there had been a few more typical items like sugar. We almost ran out of toilet paper which I think was probably just a simple oversight and I know the owner would have come over if it was needed. The only other thing to be aware of is that the room with “3 beds” is a bunk bed and then a loveseat that converts to a bed, but it’s like cushions that sit on the floor. Very uncomfortable and we couldn’t use it. I double checked before we stayed that it was a fold out bed, but I think they would be better off with a fold-up twin bed or something instead of that loveseat. We will definitely choose this place again and bring an air mattress if we need more beds! Thanks for treating us well and the pool table was awesome 🙂

The Barndominium was exactly what we hoped for.

After 2 nights at the Barndominium, I did not want to leave. We arrived in Pennsylvania for a weekend of hiking, with plans to use the Barndominium as a place to eat and sleep and that's it. From the moment we went through the smooth check-in process, I knew that we would be spending more time there. It was comfortable, extremely spacious and has that clean fresh woodsy vibe. As of October, 2021, remodeling is still underway. The place is a work in progress, but that work is most definitely a labor of love. Mary has put a lot of thought into this place, with rustic treatments throughout. Yet the kitchen and baths are fully modern and offer a welcome dose of luxury. The beds are quite firm. The lighting is good. And Mary is very responsive to queries. The Barndominium was everything that I was looking for and more. I hope to return again someday.
