Central location in well-known French wine making region. Lots of history and castles. 1 hour from Paris by TGV. Near the nice towns of Amboise and Tours. Guests may use the neighbouring heated pool and large pool garden. The house is centrally located in the village of Reugny, the rural landscape starts at the garden's edge. The village has basic commerce such as mini supermarket, bakery, butcher, pharmacist, hairdresser and the local bar/bistro. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. There are 2 showers (one connected to bedroom 2, the other is located downstairs). The bathrooms are ‘compact’. There are 3 toilets: one connected to bedroom 2, one downstairs (compact) and one located next to the attic bedroom. There is an additional foldout bed fir 2 in the living. Airconditioning in the living room and in the bedrooms. EV charging and parking on premise. Secluded courtyard and Garden. Large table in the courtyard for outdoor dining. The pool garden is shared with other guests. Arrangements can be made for ‘private’ pool use (time slots). The dining room can seat 8 persons. Outside, there is a big table for up to 10 people (in the summer you will be eating outside mostly). Outside woodstove and pizza oven

Excellent stay. Right from the outset when Herve (the caretaker) met us to show us round, we felt at home. The facilities are great, with everything we needed. Whilst we were aware of the quirky set up of the home, it worked perfectly well for the 4 of us (we have two teenage children). I would recommend a door rather than a curtain on the en-suite however. There were no issues and Herve was always on hand by phone if we needed him - he even checked in when he drove past us one day when we were out for a walk and stopped for a chat when we were at the bar.The village itself is rural. The patisserie and supermarket have closed, but the bar and butcher works adequately well, with the latter providing bread as necessary. Again, as long as you are aware, there is no issue given that there are a number of supermarkets within a shortish drive.We would highly recommend this property for a peaceful stay in the central Loire, with an opportunity to cool off in the pool as necessary - it was very necessary given the hot weather. It was further helped by the effective air conditioning in the main rooms.

Misleading description

We enjoyed our stay, the pool was excellent but the statement as to bathrooms greatly exaggerated the awkward wc and shower facilities. The local cafe and shops were really good.

Reugny accommodation

When we arrived the house had not been aired for some time and was very warm and smelt damp. We opened everything up and the smell disappeared after a day or so. By use of shutters and air conditioning the temperature inside the house became very comfortable, whilst it was getting up to 27º plus outside. The bathroom accommodation could be better. The ensuite to bed 2 is adequate, albeit separated from the bedroom by a curtain only. The top (2nd) floor bedroom makes a great children's room and it has a basin on the landing outside the bedroom door and a toilet in a sort of box room across the landing, which has a feel of "work in progress". Bedroom 1 on the first floor have to use the ground floor toilet and shower, which are very compact and being just outside the kitchen are not very private. The living room is small for the house. There is nowhere that 6 people could sit down comfortably inside to share a meal. Luckily we had excellent weather and were able to have all our meals using the the very nice outside table and chairs with huge umbrella (which was great!), which are on a very small patch of grass next to the parked cars. There is space under a lean-to roof that could accommodate the table and chairs but it would have been dark, and with inadequate lighting. The provided Weber BBQ and chimney starter are excellent and we used them every day. The pool and surround are really lovely and much appreciated. Good that they are separate from the house, for children.

We loved the property and the housekeeper was very friendly. Anytime we had a question, he would respond immediately and was even willing to come to the property to assist with specific questions. The hosts were also very friendly and communicated well. The property was clean and charming, and our favorite part was being able to cool off in the pool after walking around on a hot day. Next time I come back to visit Amboise, I will absolutely try to stay here again. It was a fantastic experience overall.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille dans cette belle maison de Reugny. Le must de cette location est vraiment l'espace piscine (très agréable et bien aménagé) ainsi le coin patio pour des soirées détentes. La ville de Reugny est bien située et nous a permis de bien visiter les chateaux aux alentours. Nous avons été très bien accueilli par le gardien. Nous avons eu beaucoup de chance car la chaleur a été au rendez-vous pour notre séjour. Il faudrait peut-être prévoir une plus grande table (pour 6 pers) dans le séjour en cas de mauvais temps mais ce sera vraiment ma seule suggestion. Un très bel endroit à découvrir que je recommande fortement.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt in diesem bezaubernden, alten Haus mit Pool. Da wir zu sechst mit Hund da waren, benötigten wir ein großes Haus mit Platz, und den hatten wir mit 3 Schlafzimmern, einer Küche und dem Wohnzimmer. Weil wir vornehmlich schönes Wetter hatten, konnten wir den Poolbereich, aber auch die überdachten Freiplätze mit Grill und Feuerstelle, ausgiebig nutzen und hatten dort herrliche Tage und Abende. Wie vom Vermieter angekündigt, war der Wechsel zwischen den Vermietungen etwas knapp, so daß nicht Alles perfekt sauber war, was uns aber nicht weiter gestört hat. Unser Ansprechpartner vor Ort war reizend und sehr um uns bemüht sowie um die Sauberkeit des Pools ! Grosses Lob dafür ! Leider fehlte im Haus ein großer Tisch für 6 Personen, was an den Regentagen für Enge beim Frühstück sorgte. Ein kleiner Supermarkt, sowie Metzger und Bäcker in 1 min Laufnähe, sowie schöne Radwege und kurze Distanzen zu Amboise und Tours sind ebenfalls Pluspunkte.Wir waren perfekt erholt !!

Superbe weekend !

Un weekend d'anniversaire en famille réussi grâce à la météo et à la piscine de cette superbe maison dans laquelle nous avons passé un excellent séjour ! Très bien équipée tout y est nous reviendrons c'est sûr !

Belle maison dans beau village

Excellent accueil des propriétaires ainsi que du gérant de la location. Aux petits soins pour qu’on ne manque de rien! Prêt de vélos, barbecue prêt a l’emploi, le propriétaire a meme ouvert exceptionnellement la piscine plus tot que prévu pour pour que nos enfants en profitent. La maison est bien équipée et agréable dans un beau village calme et sympathique. Superbe semaine de vacances pour nous, merci encore a nos hôtes ainsi qu’à Hervé.

Nous avons passé des merveilleuses vacances dans un cadre magnifique. Maison impeccable avec tout ce qu'il faut et même plus. Accueil très chaleureux, on se sent bien tout de suite : donc, ne venez pas, on veut garder ça pour nos prochaines vacances ! Oust !
