Beautiful, one level, 1900 square foot beach house located on a bird sanctuary at the end of beautiful Lake Okanagan in Vernon, British Columbia. A very large lake with access to Kelowna,and Penticton by boat.
The property has 50 feet of sandy level beach front with a full yard of grass leading to it. The water is shallow leading out in the lake, which is great for children. We have a buoy set up for your boat, or you can rent a boat nearby at the marina. Thirty minutes from Silver Star mountain, for hiking and bike riding in the summer and awesome summer events and great snow skiing in the winter. We are 2 doors down from Sandy beach and all sorts of Water rentals, windsurfing and stuff. We have Atlantis Water slides in Vernon for the kids, a Casino also is in Vernon along with an Art gallery too. Cedar Creek winery overlooks Lake Okanagan, with year round wine tasting, and we are close to all the wineries throughout the Okanagan including Mission Hill. Twenty minutes to World Famous Predator Ridge Golf Course, and ten minutes to the new golf course The Rise. Indoor - outdoor pickle ball and tennis courts also 10 minutes away too. Accessibility to everything that is available within minutes. You will never be bored.....

Amazing Sandy beach for our family with young grandchildren. Shallow warm waters to play in with large grass areas for bocce.Large accommodating deck with wicker table and chairs and a bar which the children used as a playhouse.Inside is beach rustic with well equipped kitchen and two dining tables to sit 14 persons. Our host Catherine returned our messages immediately and our family thank her for a memorable vacation

The home and location were exactly as listed in the property description. The sandy beach was great and the views were beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay!

Family Vacation

The place is a little dated, but has tons of charm, and you can't beat the location! We enjoyed our stay there as a family. Our kids were so excited to be right on the beach.

Amazing location

Our stay was excellent. The cabin was well equipped and the beach is amazing. This was our second time renting this property and we will come again.

This place is truly amazing! The photos and descriptions don't do it justice. The location on Lake Okanagan is incredible, with spectacular views through large windows in the living room and master bedroom. Grocery stores and downtown Vernon are very close by. The beach was wonderful, with firm white sand and very shallow, warm water for a long way out. It was perfect for the two paddleboards provided, and for our 2 tiny granddaughters to play in. There is a lovely flat lawn leading to the beach shaded by a massive willow tree, where we played with the girls for hours. The house is older but well maintained, with plenty of space for its size. The kitchen is "overflowing" with dishes, cookware, utensils, and all kinds of small appliances, plus plenty of fridge and freezer space. There are two tables for dining and more than enough chairs. The living area is spacious and comfortable with a large TV. The master bedroom has a large mirrored closet, TV, and an ensuite with 2 sinks, well stocked with towels etc. The bunk bed room is small and cozy, but great for kids and there are extra blankets under the loft bed. Our only suggestions are to possibly replace the double futon in the fourth bedroom with a more comfortable bed, and provide instructions for the TV remotes:) Last but definitely not least, the host, Catherine, was very kind, quick to answer questions and deal with any issues that arise. We greatly enjoyed our stay & hope to return!

This roomy beach front home is beautifully located right on Lake Okanagan. It is well-equipped with bedding, towels, dishes, glassware, kitchen appliances and deck and beach furniture. Everything was very clean. Our family had everything we needed for a comfortable, enjoyable 10-day stay.

This location was wonderful. The beach was sandy, shallow water and you could set your beach chairs in the water. You could take your paddle boards right from the grass and carry them into the deeper water as the water was too shallow for the fins. The umbrellas on the beach were handy too as they provided shade. If the beach was too hot then you could just sit by the table on the patio. Catherine was wonderful! She quickly answered any questions and reassured me regarding the wildfires that were in surrounding areas. The kitchen was fully stocked with a variety of pans, dishes, glasses and other items. We found that we could have used more forks and tea towels. Make sure you bring your own spices. Soap for dishes and laundry was available. The washer and dryer were available and easy to use. I found using the dishwasher a bit tricky as some of the labels on the buttons were worn off. The main bedroom off the deck had a king size bed, a tv which was nice, a large closet and a bathroom with dual sinks with lots of towels. Much appreciated. The next bedroom had a bunk bed as well as an upper bed that one would climb the short ladder to access the corner bed. The 3 young teenagers slept in this area. The next bedroom had queen size bed, dresser and access to the closet as well as close proximity to the bathroom. This bathroom had one sink, a bathtub and shower. Lovely barbecue, parking for 3 vehicles. This property had a rustic beach house vibe which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Amazing property for kids

This is an amazing location for little kids as the water doesn’t drop off suddenly and there is lots of lawn and beach to play on. We really enjoyed our stay and thanks to the host for always providing timely responses. Much appreciated we hope to come back again!

As advertised

Beach out the back door is a kids dream - its also shallow for a significant distance. The house was clean and stocked with anything we could of needed. Communication was fantastic throughout the trip as well. Wonderful place!

Lovely spot

We loved the new bunk beds this year and so did the kids! Really appreciate all the appliances available to us, bedding, towels, etc. The water is perfect for kids and we just had a blast! Thanks for the memories!

Great beach location

This was a great property. Right on the beach with great sand and great swimming. Rooms were great and all beds were very comfortable. No concerns. Kitchen is very well stocked. The fridge doesn’t keep things super cold, and make sure to bring your own ice. No concerns with the kitchen. All living areas have lots of room. Honestly, you don’t spend a ton of time inside of your booking in the summer, but it was spacious for when we did. TV and the kids watched Netflix a few times. Outdoor space is amazing, grass area for lots of games. Sandy beach is amazing with great swimming, kids had an amazing time! Pros: - location, beach, grass area - lots of parking - spacious inside -a/c was great! Cons: - outside can get very hot and later in the day there is little shade (there is lots from trees early in day up to about 3:00) bring a shade tent and not a problem We had a wonderful stay and would recommend again.

Total Relaxation

This was our second year staying at this property and we look forward to a third. Lovely property and location! The host answers messages promptly and is very helpful. We look forward to our stay all winter long!

Great location!

Excellent location and house. This place was great, grassy yard to play on, sandy beach to play on, lovely water for swimming; couldn't ask for more. House is well-outfitted. It has everything you need. It's not overly fancy, but the beds are comfy, lots of room for kids to sleep and the kitchen has all the necessities and then some. Thanks for a great stay!

Simply excellent getaway.

Our experience was superb because whenever anything was not available (previous renters misplaced stuff) Catherine and Taylor hopped on it. They would run out and buy whatever was needed. The location is spectacular and the weather perfect. Wine and cider tasting in the region were top notch. Would come back in a flash.

Wonderful Lake Front

The location of this property is really great. The big lawn gave the kids a lot of room to run and play. The private beach was really great. It really is worth the money to not have to load up a beach bag and drive to the beach. The water stays very shallow for a long way making it great for kids to play. The house is old and could use some work. We found that the kitchen and main bathroom needed a cleaning when we arrived. For the amount being charged for the stay the house should have some upgrades done. You sacrifice the house to have the great yard and private sandy beach. I would stay at the property again but would be much more likely if there were some improvements made.

What a view, what a spot !

This was an unbelievable place to spend a vacation. Close to everything. Low bank sandy beach. Great lawn for kids. Couldn't have gotten a better spot ! Would stay again and again.

Wonderful lakefront home

We do family vacation every year with another family ( generally on the Shuswap), and this was our first time staying on the Okanagan . We loved it ! The property was such a great fit for our families . The beach is basically your front yard, we spent morning, afternoon, and evening out there . We had a baby with us so enjoyed the nice mixture of sun and shade at all times of the day . Being able to keep the boat in the water our entire stay was convenient, and they are minutes away from the marina to fuel up . The house had plenty of room for the 4 adults , 3.kids. The kitchen isn't huge, but who wants to spend much time there on holidays anyways . There was lots of seating indoors and outdoors . The kids loved the built in loft bedroom ! We loved that we were minutes away (driving )from anything we needed as well. The owner David went out of his way to get the property ready in time for our holiday and his wife Catherine was very helpful and fast to respond with any questions I had . We would definitely return to this property. If you are a boating family this location is definitely ideal .

Wonderful Beach House

Being on the lake was spectacular especially for the grand kids, the sandy beach and shallow water made their day. We loved the view and it was easy to get to shopping and our wedding venue. I would recommend this rental to anyone, all the comforts of home. Owners are very nice and responded to all our questions right away. Our family will be back.
