JJ's is a very special place to enjoy the peace and beauty of rural Hawaii AND have enough time to visit some of the beautiful sites and uncrowded beaches near Hana. Very much appreciated the hospitality of the hosts and the opportunity to pet and walk with their charming rescue animals. We've visited twice and have recommended JJ's to our friends and family.

The property was so much fun and we enjoyed the unique experience with the animals. Sharon was so reactive to every need and made sure we were comfortable.

This is a unique and super special experience to stay in a beautiful place, interact with wonderful animals, and meet a very kind host. Comfy bed, plenty of room, lovely little kitchen, convenient into town - just could not be better!

Seriously, this was such an amazing place to stay! The lodging itself was great with plenty of room, WiFi, refrigerator, oven, laundry, etc. But the real joy was the property itself and all the animals! There are chickens, geese, ducks, goats, dogs, horses, cows, a pig, a mule, etc. So unique and amazing.

Alan, Sharon and their animals are so welcoming! You’re greeted by dogs and goats upon arriving, with fresh eggs waiting for you inside. If you sit at the seating area outside during the day, you’ll have many animals come greet you and hang out with you. They had beach towels to borrow and tons of suggestions on where to go and what to do. If you’re “home” and outside at the right time in the evening, Alan may invite you to go for an evening walk with him, the dogs and the goats. It was such a treat! We’d stay again in a heartbeat.

This was the most perfect stay we could’ve asked for in Hana. You are staying at a farm, so go in with an open mind. It’s grounding and so beautiful. Sharon was the most incredible host and provides a once in a lifetime experience for her guests, THANK YOU

We loved our time at the farm house! Very kind hosts with big hearts for all their rescued critters. Just a quick drive into Hana town to grab dinner or whatever you need.

Loved playing with the animals, walking with the goats and dogs, brushing the horses. It was a perfect break in the Hana highway journey on the way to the bamboo forest hike.

We loved our stay here. It was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and get clean and rested after a long day on the road to Hana. It's a beatiful place on beautifal land with many well cared for animals including 30-year-old horses! The dogs were charming greeters. We enjoyed our time talking to Alan as he was so kind and easy to talk to. There were thoughtful touches, beautiful pieces of furniture and art, interesting books about Hawaii, and the space was clean. My spouse and I found the bed to be very comfortable and we appreciated the fresh eggs laid the by hens on-site. Thank you Alan and Sharon for hosting, and thank you for all that you do for these beautiful animals.
