Comfortable Two-Story Family Home in Picturesque Small Town USA

Our two-story home on a quiet tree-lined street will be a welcome retreat for your family or friends getaway! Quilters will love the shops downtown - one guest described Hamilton as a "Quilters' Disneyland"! In the fall, hunters will love the local conservation areas. Hardwood floors, a jack-and-jill bedroom closet, and the cutest under-the-stairs bathroom you've ever seen, make this house a charmer. With large rooms, comfy furniture, a dining room big enough for a crowd, and king, queen, full and twin size beds to sleep 10, our guests can enjoy time together and have room to spread apart. Spend quiet mornings relaxing on the front porch swing, evenings in the fenced back yard toasting marshmallows over the fire pit, and days playing games, crafting, quilting, and just renewing yourself in our comfortable space. Take a day trip to St Joseph for some history, Kansas City for BBQ, or Jamesport Amish country for some great shopping! There are pumpkin patches and apple orchards in the fall; water parks and lakes in the summer; and great restaurants and wineries year-round - all less than 45 minutes away. Whether you are planning a weekend with the girls, a family vacation or a hunting retreat with friends, there's something for everyone at The Hamilton House!

This house was super cute for the age. There were 7 ladies staying on our first trip to MSQC. Description of the property was accurate and we had no problems.

Loved this quirky home, but issues with the internet caused my over all rating. Her password was very long and was written with a marker of some type. It took over 24 hours for one of the group to finally decipher the password. (6 and b and c and e especially caused problems). If she were to change the writing style to something more legible (typed?) it would be a perfect place to stay.

Karen - glad you enjoyed your stay overall. Sorry you had trouble reading the internet password, I haven’t had anyone say they had an issue so I wasn’t aware it was a problem. I do explain on the note with the password that the internet company suggested we leave the default even though it’s cumbersome. If the power were to go out it would revert to that and then we would have a worse situation. In the note you left you suggested I leave a number for emergencies. I will certainly consider that, however, if you had contacted me through the app as we had communicated previously, I would have been happy to address the issue for you. Thank you for leaving the home in great shape :) Best wishes on your future stays!

Beautiful older home with lots of charm. Ready for anything. Fully stocked kitchen with all dishes and pans needed. Washer and dryer work great. Host doesn’t request a lot of extra work or cleaning of the guests and communication is wonderful. It made for a fantastic trip. Only a couple of blocks from the heart of Quilt Town USA made shopping and exploring so easy. Highly recommend.

Lovely Family Reunion

We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you so much for the delicious muffins that greeted us when we arrived! We were able to enjoy the town with the many shops, go to a local campground to visit with Family, and make meals at the home when our family came to visit. Overall, it was an excellent stay.
