Our family had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful lake house! The home was clean, comfortable, spacious, and had everything we needed for a relaxing family getaway. The lake views were gorgeous, and there was plenty of room for everyone to gather, make memories, and enjoy time together.The location was perfect, the house was exactly as described, and the hosts were easy to communicate with. We truly enjoyed every minute of our stay and would happily return! Highly recommend this VRBO for a peaceful and memorable family vacation!

Fantastic lake home, plenty of space for the whole family, fun activities for the kids, nice dock on big open water. Highly recommend and would rent again.

This is a beautiful property with a wonderful owner. We are a family of 5 plus a small dog, and this was the perfect spot for us to spend a week together. I can't recommend it enough.

Jennifer was an amazing host and the property was even better than the pictures! I would highly recommend renting this property to anyone vacationing on the lake! 5 out 5 stars for sure!

Perfect Stay

Beautiful, spotless home in a peaceful rural setting. The dock was a highlight—perfect for relaxing and all boating activities. Great communication with the host. Highly recommend for a quiet getaway!Hope to return next year.

Wonderful home. Close proximity to the Tugaloo. Host is very quick to respond to any needs. Plenty of room for everybody.

Best stay yet!

We have stayed at 5 other vacation rentals and this property is hands down the VERY best. It was exceptionally clean and stocked with absolutely everything you would need to make your stay perfect. We stayed for an extended period and are so thankful to Jennifer and Ko for making this a special time.

We had a wonderful time on this property for our week stay. The house had everything we neded. We loved hanging out in the game room and being able to easily go outside to the lake. Our dog who traveled with us enjoyed swimming in the lake and the outdoor shower made it easy to clean him up after his daily swim. My husband enjoyed kayaking the lake and I enjoyed sitting by the fire at night. We can't wait to go back again soon!

Great holiday retreat!

Our entire family enjoyed our holiday vacation at this beautiful property. Despite the freezing temperatures, there was plenty to do. The host quickly responded to any questions we had. The house was spacious and very clean. We would definitely stay again.

Hartwell Family Vacation

Our Family of 10 gathered, (6 of us for our 2nd stay), for a Wonderful 5 day Vacation in this Great Lake House, and, like last year, the place was fantastic! The location, the dock/boatslip, swimming, fishing, and overall comforts helped make it really hard to leave! Thanks Jennifer for having us again and we’ll definitely be back!

Bear Necessities was the perfect Lake Hartwell vacation home for our family of four! From the moment we arrived, it felt like the ideal place to relax, reconnect, and enjoy everything the lake has to offer.One of our favorite features was the two-level layout. It gave the adults and our teenage boys their own spaces when we wanted a little downtime, while still providing plenty of areas for us to come together. We especially loved having quiet mornings and meals upstairs overlooking the lake, then spending evenings downstairs enjoying the game room and family movie nights.The outdoor amenities truly made this property stand out. The easy lake access, private dock, and sandy beach created endless opportunities for fun. We spent our days swimming, floating, fishing, kayaking, and paddle boarding right from the property. The beach was an unexpected highlight—we’ve stayed at several lake houses before, but we’d never had a beach like this.We enjoyed sunsets on the dock, and fireworks on the 4th of July. The Bluetooth speaker hookups were a fantastic touch, and as a musical family, we loved being able to enjoy our favorite playlists while spending time together outside.Bear Necessities offered everything we could have wanted for a Lake Hartwell getaway. It’s a wonderful home with an unbeatable lake setup!
