Relax in the tranquil atmosphere of Trophy Hollow Lodge, LLC. Tucked away in the scenic hills of Northeast Ohio, we offer 8 guest rooms each with a private bathroom. Also available are 2 RV sites. There is an extra charge to use the RV sites for sewer and electric.
Celebrate the special moments of life in our rustic Great Room and Event Hall. The beautiful wooded surroundings are the perfect background for any event : weddings, showers, family reunions, birthdays, anniversaries and retreats.
Venture out into the preserve for a hike and just enjoy the serenity of the surroundings.
The event room is part of the rental but if additional people are attending an event there will be a small event charge.

Very nice resort. We had a great time. Our host was very thoughtful. Due to a storm, we lost power. We text the host and within 15 minutes, he was there with a generator. Excellent service. Hiked the property and jumped a couple deer.

This house is amazing. The property is beautiful. There's so much room for kids and adults to run and explore. The hosts are very accommodating with having extra towels and blankets etc and the use of laundry and leaving a welcome basket with goodies. They literally provide everything in this house. Each room has it's own AC unit and bathroom which we've never had at other VRBO houses we stayed. The only negative I can even say is the WiFi and cell service is spotty in this area, but that is NOT the fault of the host. Most of us enjoyed the limited screen and Internet time. It was very peaceful. Thank you Mike and family for sharing your house, we will definitely be back in the future!

Great Family Getaway

Family fun weekend

Away from the noise and traffic of town suited our group . Grassy trails and pond for fishing got us outside. Great room was cozy . Bathroom in each bedroom was a definite plus !

This lodge was perfect for our church retreat! It’s actually bigger than it looks online. The entire place was clean and the kitchen has everything you need-even has a second refrigerator if needed. We loved the event space to gather for meals and the great room was perfect for hanging out and watching the football game! Each bedroom is like a separate hotel room with its own bathroom and heating/cooling unit. We enjoyed hiking on the property and some folks enjoyed fishing on the ponds on the property. The owner was very friendly and met us on arrival to show us everything. We are very impressed with the property and will definitely book again in the future!

Review

Our stay was amazing and the property is absolutely beautiful! We were able to walk to the pond, and see some fish. The neighbors dogs were very sweet, and came to visit with us. The renter was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely be back in the future!

Trophy Hollow Lodge

We had a great time at the lodge. The main banquet room and the great room had plenty of space for large groups to hang out together. It was nice that each of the 8 bedrooms had their own full bath along with 2 other bathrooms in the banquet area. Property was clean and the owner and his son both came to check on us during our visit to make certain everything was good. We'll be booking the property again for next year.

This property was the site of a family reunion, with 20 family members staying for 3 nights - and it was perfect for our gathering! The amount of space for each family gave us the benefits of a hotel (our own rooms/bathrooms), with a shared space that allowed us to gather for meals, socialize, and play games. The pool table got a lot of use as well - a nice benefit!The kitchen was ideal for preparing meals for our family. It was a plus to have a 2nd refrigerator available, and the cooking utensils, plates, and silverware were plentiful. It was such a nice touch to have a basket of snacks and a dual cup/pot Keurig coffee maker with a variety of K-cups for us too. The large gas grill worked well and was perfect for a cookout during our stay, as we had some cousins join us one afternoon. The property also provided a perfect backdrop, with the woods that were on the property. For entertainment, the TV allowed for the younger members of our family to play video games (we brought games to connect), plus watch movies when we all needed some downtime. It was a short drive into Loudonville and Ashland, which gave us the ability to attend church services, pick up pizza one evening, and get groceries if needed. We were able to get out for walks in the area too, and probably would have gone to Mohican (also close) if it wasn't rainy over the weekend. Finally, the hosts - Mike, Raylene and Michael Jr. were extremely helpful throughout the process! We would book again!

Family reunion

The building was clean and well maintained throughout. The heating system was able to keep all rooms comfortable during a very cold January weekend. The dining / activity space was great for meals and games. The great room was well appointed though it could have used more seating for a group our size (14 adults and 9 children). The wi-fi was "spotty" outside the Great Room area and the satellite tv service did not allow viewing of NFL playoff games, something our group enjoys. Due to weather conditions we were unable to explore the grounds adjacent to the Lodge, something I'm sure would be a hit with the kids. And the flooding provided an extra challenge accessing the property but everyone made it in and out safely.

We were sad to see our first 4 star review. We have worked diligently to have achieved all 5 star reviews to date since opening almost 4 years ago. The weather especially in January will not always cooperate and can create some difficult situations. This was during the unprecedented early January polar vortex that sent us our first really cold weather of the year. We were very happy to see everyone was safe and kept comfortable. We do try to keep the lodge clean and welcome all guests with a review of the lodge and what is available for comfort in temperature and accommodations. We have a very large dining area directly attached to the kitchen area (some rent for events of up to 150 people). We have had larger groups (50+) stay without a concern for seating since there are enough chairs in the Great room for about 30 and chairs can be used from the Event room to seat more. We know wi-fi is an opportunity and can be a challenge in our secluded area but most of our guests have seen this as an advantage to get disconnected for the weekend. We are constantly searching for available options to improve the wi-fi. The TV uses Dish and if a request is made ahead of time a special packages can be added to accommodate any group such as previous groups hosting Super bowl parties. This group did tour our lodge a month before their stay and was quite thorough in their inspection and were very pleased with all arrangements. The flooding referred to was in the adjacent area (we are adjacent to the flood plain) and the lodge is not in the flood plain. This has no impact to the lodge other than the need to come in from the east rather than the west.

Our stay in Mohican was very enjoyable. I must say at first, I was a little surprised at how the kitchen/event room seemed so removed from the rest of the living area. The picture showed exactly how it was, but it just did not sink. However, that worked out for our group. We had movie in the great room while games were being played in the event room and neither group was effective by the other. That said the same was true for sleeping. the separation allowed for the little ones to go to sleep and not be effective by the games going on in the event room. Loved the earlier check in as well as the later check out. Much appreciated. Host was very helpful and very responsive. Lastly, we loved that every bedroom had their own bathroom so nice.

Ultimate Cabin Heaven

The owners were super organized and met me at the lodge upon arrival to show us around and explain how everything works! I cannot explain in words the absolute bliss of the easy to get to location yet still makes you feel you are in the middle of nowhere! The crop fields on every side a well cut path for doing some adventurous hiking. Well stocked wood pile and fire pit. This place was absolute paradise for me and all my buddies who were enjoying a bachelor party for one of our friends. The beds super comfy and as someone who built a timber framed cabin I had much appreciation for the log cabin and furnishings that went along with it! Huge plus was the full bathroom in every room and the extra one in the pole barn along with an extra half bath! The place is perfect for big gatherings! Only complaint is on my side of things for not booking for atleast a few more days! Highly recommend and will visit again!

We had a fantastic stay! This property was perfect for our large group, with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. Having approximately eight bedrooms and 10 bathrooms was a huge plus and made the entire stay very comfortable.The attached hall was another great feature and gave our family a wonderful gathering space where everyone could get together, spend time together, and enjoy each other’s company. We had everything we needed at the property, and everyone was very comfortable throughout our stay.It was so nice to find a place that could comfortably accommodate our entire group. We would definitely recommend this property to other large groups and families!

Best Thanksgiving ever 2022

We truly enjoyed the property. The bedroom area is separate from the social area and the eating area. The WIFI was tough, but the listing states that so we came prepared to use our hotspots for the football games. We hiked the entire property which was massive and beautiful. We had a reunion with 27 relatives from 5 to 85 and NO COMPLAINTS.

Super roomy cabin with beautiful amenities. Very large bedrooms. Everything in excellent condition. Owner super friendly, came out and gave us tour and some great hiking and eating ideas. We will be back!!

Wow!

From arrival to departure, our stay was fantastic. Mike met us at the property to show us around and how different things work. There was plenty of space to spread out so we weren't on top of each other. We especially loved having two large rooms to go between for programming. Having a restroom in each bedroom was absolutely amazing as well as having the two extra. This is the perfect place for a large gathering or retreat. The views of the cows from the front porch were a highlight for many of the teens. Thank you again for opening your home to us!

I am originally from the Cleveland suburbs and my wife is from Wooster. We chose this area to live and to raise our family because it is rural but is close to everything. It is about 1 hour from Cleveland and Columbus and only minutes away from Mansfield, Wooster and Loudonville.

Our property is unique since all of our bedrooms have bathrooms and we have a large meeting space which can accommodate up to about 150 people for events. We also offer 120 acres of outdoor space for relaxing, hiking, fishing and just enjoying nature and outdoor space. This outdoor area is also a high fence deer preserve offering a great opportunity to see several deer when on your walks, birding, flower walks, berry picking, morel hunting or fishing in the ponds.
