This nearly 100 year old craftsman-style home sits on Broadway Street in the center of town, just a block from a bustling downtown which includes, restaurants, boutiques, coffee, ice cream, cocktail bars, parks and so much more.

Recently voted Best Place in Minnesota to Live and a Top 10 MN vacation destination, New Ulm is a quaint, charming yet vibrant gem in south central Minnesota. Home of the 2nd oldest family owned and operated brewery in the United States, Schell's. Its packed calendar of festivals make it a year-round destination.

2,800 square feet, you will love the charm of this old home including the beautiful hardwood floors, french doors and high ceilings. You will also enjoy the great outdoor space in the back yard made for entertaining or simply relaxing after a long day. The property has two off-street parking spots; a garage stall as well as a carport adjacent to the garage stall.

We are life-long residents, (or Bewohners if you sprechen sie Deutsch) of New Ulm and are close by to answer any question you may have quickly via phone, text, email or VRBO messenger.

New Ulm is well known for its Bavarian roots and it pervades almost everything. From day one, the city was designed as a free-thinking utopia filled with parks every few blocks.

New Ulm is famous for its German festivals such as Bavarian Blast (formally Heritagefest) in July, BockFest in March at the mansion grounds of August Schell of Schell's beer fame, and of course, TWO full weekends of Oktoberfest (Oktober) activities. New Ulm is the host of many baseball, hockey and basketball tournaments.

Our home is just a few blocks blocks from beautiful German Park with its fountain, gardens and brand new amphitheater. It is less than a block from historic Turner Hall Turnverein Club complete with bar and restaurant (Rathskeller).

Our home is located almost smack in the middle of town making walking downtown a breeze. There you can find everything from live music to German restaurants (Kaiserhoff), or our Glockenspiel, one of the few free-standing carillon clock towers in the world! You are also just a few blocks from Johnson Park if you want to take in a baseball or football game.

Annual girls trip

This beautiful, cozy home was perfect for our annual girls trip. We enjoyed the open floor plan, cleanliness, comfortable beds and accessibility to downtown. Property hosts were amazing!

Girls weekend

This is our second year in a row staying here. Pics are exactly what it looks like. Main floor bathroom only, no shower. However upstairs and downstairs full shower. Beds comfy. WIFI and cable great. Great location to downtown. Communication with owners excellent. If you forget something they have anything and everything you need, just like a hotel. We will be staying here again.

Great experience

Family visit with member ranging from 17-80, 100 year old home perfectly located that more than served our purpose and accommodated us very well. Hosts were graciously accommodating for all needs and desires, and communicated all our necessary information before and after our visit. Highly recommened.

Great location

Close to all the places. The house was just as described and well stocked. The main floor bedroom and toilet were perfect for my elderly mother. The younger one enjoyed the parks and swimming pond. The older ones enjoyed Schells and the historic sites. Would stay here again.

Perfect Location and House!

Beautifully renovated and decorated house with a lot of space and comfortable rooms for a big family or group. It was a perfect location for walking to Turner Hall and to downtown restaurants, bars and sites.

Perfect place to stay for large family

We were in town for graduation and this house fit all of our needs. Beds were very comfortable. The weather was beautiful and we were able to enjoy the patio area. Definitely would stay again!

Birthday Club Blast

My friends and I enjoy have a Birthday Club in which we get together to celebrate each others’ special day and our recent stay at the Holiday Haus Zwei was an ideal getaway location for us. Char was very easy to communicate with and the home suited our needs perfectly! The beds were super comfy and the home was warm and inviting. We would highly recommend it!

Best Location and Lovely Home

Wonderful large home to stay with a big group of people. We stayed for Bockfest and had the best weekend! The house was clean and in walking distance to the town center. The host shared helpful information beforehand on transportation from the house to Shells brewery. The hosts were kind, accommodating, and very easy to communicate with. We would love to stay here again!

Lovely home

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. The interiors were nice and clean. We were in town for my uncles funeral and our hostess was kind and accommodating. It was centrally located and in easy short drive of everything we needed. My sisters and I enjoyed our stay even though it was a sad occasion. We visited with our host and turns out she went to school with my cousin. Small world.

Girls Trip

Beautiful home with lots of character! Perfect for a girls weekend. Easy walk to shopping, restaurants, bars and speak easy. The large dining room table was perfect for the evenings full of laughter and games. Looking forward to coming back!

Perfect location

Beautiful home. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. So close to downtown and other New Ulm attractions. Beautiful weather allowed us to enjoy backyard patio. Easily accommodated our group of 8.

Location, Location

We get a VRBO yearly for our group of 10-12 girls. The house was within walking distance to all the local shops. The kitchen was a bit small for food prep, but the dining room table was great for meals and cards. The living space was nice and open. One single bed on the main level great for those who have trouble with stairs, however no shower on the main. The house had everything we needed. Room enough to spend out, and comfy to snuggle in. The beds were very comfortable and all linens for bathing there already. She even had everything in the bathroom should you need or forget something. Just like a hotel would. The yard was great for outdoor games. It is on a busy street. The noise of the traffic never bothered us. Parking is tight, but easily fixed with being able to unload and just park on the street. We had trouble with the cable and Char came right over to help. She even had a little gift for us to share. We will be back in the future for sure!

Close to Everything!

This charming house was a wonderful home base for our explorations of New Ulm. From the bottle of wine awaiting us on the kitchen table to the lovely patio seating, our girlfriend group had a relaxing time. By chance we met the gracious owner who shared favorite New Ulm gems with us. Don't miss Schell's Brewery and the Wanda Gag House. Both are very interesting.

Martin Luther Academy reunion

Really enjoyed our stay except (1)parking was very tricky for 5 vehicles. We had 7 people all 68 years of age. Two stairwells do not have bannisters so that was very difficult for them. Last day we were bitten by some fleas on the outdoor lounge area. Otherwise we had a great time!!
