Tiny Home meets 5 star suite carved out of two 20' shipping containers with a million miles of ocean travel between 'em, converted into a 320 Sq ft. luxury King suite by artist John Henry Jones. The Desert Dream Suite is 1 of 3 private, apartment suite units available for guest rental at El Ranchito Wellness Inn and Spa. Beautifully-appointed, 70% glass for stellar views, shared access to pool, private jacuzzi, hammocks, patios, lounges, daybeds & wide open spaces. Please note: the "Entire Place" designation refers to our guests having the entire Desert Dream Shipping Container Suite tiny home to themselves, and it is indeed a self-contained, standalone studio home, with a super comfy King-sized bed at its center; its own private bathroom, kitchen, patio, and super cool AC. This luxurious tiny home is one of three on the property and comes with full access to the common areas: lap pool, hot tubs, outdoor showers, fire tables, hammocks, patios and gorgeous environs, perfect for every kind of activity from meditative chilling and stargazing to action-adventuring. A great getaway!

Jonesy was great at getting us checked in and explaining how everything works. We stayed in the Dream Suite and it was great to have our own “private” areas to relax but also have available the common areas. The jacuzzi under the stars and sitting in the hammocks were excellent! It was so quite and the stars were amazing. The only noise was from the coyotes which was cool to hear (as they were a ways off). Close enough to Joshua Tree NP (20 minute drive) but away from 29 Palms so we felt we were really in the middle of nowhere.

Great experience!

We wanted a unique place to stay while we were visiting the Joshua Tree area. This was perfect. Very comfortable. It's close enough to 29 Palms for restaurants and other activities, yet far enough away that you can enjoy the desert. Highly recommend. Thank you Jonesey!

Everything you need in one desert oasis!

I chose this listing because of its unique structure and because with the pool, hot tub, hammocks, etc, it had everything we needed right there, and we didn't even scratch the surface of all the amenities available to us at this property. You can tell with the amount of style and care put into everything around (down to the ambient lighting of all the plants at night) that this place is truly a "labor of love" and we could feel that throughout our stay how special this place is! My boyfriend and I came from Tallahassee, Florida to do a CE-5 Retreat in Joshua Tree, to connect with some Extra Terrestrials. We definitely felt at home and loved our stay at this property! Regret we were too busy with the retreat to take advantage of all the different activities we could've learned about through our knowledgeable host. Highly recommend!! xxooxx

Cool property, comfortable little apartment, and super lounge area.

Great stay for us two. Came out in the area to relax and visit Joshua Tree National Park. Comfortable place, self explanatory when you get there. Took advantage of hot tub, lounge area and fire table and fire pit. Super awesome. Beautiful stars. I would recommend to those who want to hang in the desert with close friends and/or significant other, or if you are just visiting Joshua Tree.

Sister Weekend

Had a peaceful weekend away with my 2 sisters, enjoyed having the pool/jacuzzi mostly to ourselves, and had a pleasant chat with the owner during our stay. We wish we had more time to meet the horses, but it got too windy on our last day so we stayed indoors for the rest of our stay.

Beautiful stay in the desert

We spent one night in the Dream container suite. It was well appointed with everything we needed for a great stay. The location is VERY remote so I'd suggest grabbing any food/drinks before you check in so you don't have to go back to town. The horses were friendly (bring them an apple or some carrots) and the property is well maintained. We enjoyed cooling off in the pool after a day of driving and hiking in Joshua Tree Park. Enjoy the view of the stars from one of the hammocks. Serene. The host also found our lost "lovie" and was kind enough to send it back so it was waiting when we returned home. He was very responsive and kind. It is obvious he takes a lot of pride in his property.

Great Place to stay

Had a great time in this rental. Really comfy bed and a funky, fun setup. Hot Tub was nice and we went on a nice walk in the surrounding desert with our pup. Great location for getting to Joshua Tree for hiking.

No what We expected

We thought that for the price we paid we would have the full property to ourselves an that wasn’t true, what the pics don’t show is the massive trailer in front of the property where jonesy stays an we got a very small suite downstairs an upstairs where we originally thought came with our reservation went to other bigger parties. It felt more like a hotel especially since others where allowed to be in what we thought would be a private hot tub. My first night was scary since someone kept walking around my room with a flash light and i was alone, all an all we made the best of it , alsooo u cant ride the horses there just to look at lol

Magical place and thoughtful host

We had such a good time staying in the shipping container suite! We spent evenings in the hot tub looking at the stars and early mornings catching some sun in the hammocks. Jonesy was an excellent host and helped us with everything we needed and gave us great recommendations for the area. We went into the park every day and we were closer the less crowded entrance to the park which was fantastic. The suite is a really neat space that is beautifully designed and has plenty of space to cook in the kitchen. We loved it!

Beautiful, peaceful with incredible black sky stars.

Extremely clean, neat Dream Suite with all the amenities needed. Loved the hot tub and total environment. Much better than a hotel/motel. Would highly recommend!

29 Palms? There’s nothing in 29 Palms!

That’s exactly what a friend said when I mentioned we were going for my Husband’s Birthday and she’s right…Nothing, but the best place to unwind, star gaze and chill. Perfect!! We came, we spa’d and completely enjoyed ourselves working out, walking to the shack with our baby dog & visiting with the horses and the Ranch dogs. Oh, there’s something in 29 Palms, absolutely the best place to do nothing at all!
