We loved this house, had a great stay. Only issue, which was minor, was some centipedes in the bottom level.

Hi there, thank you for your review and yes, this time each summer we do get them. We have a pest service and I have called them to come back in, but it’s just part of living on the mountain.

Very nice, lots of room, good selection of games and streaming. One note is that the pool is outdoor and only open Memorial Day thru Labor Day.

This was a wonderful place for my two friends and I to relax and reunite after our fortieth college reunion weekend. The proximity to hiking trails without having to get in the car was a plus. But the best was having so much space to spread out and relax. The kitchen is well appointed, and I truly appreciated the little unexpected extras such as spices, coffee pods, aluminum foil, etc. We were able to have a few meals in without worrying about the little things you might not think to pack. The best part for us was the expansive outdoor deck space with lots of seating set amid the trees. I highly recommend this beautiful house and would happily return.

Mountain top getaway

Very nice house, mountain top location, well suited for 6 adults as in our group. A lot of outdoor decking, very nice great room/gathering area, and 3 full bathrooms a plus. We found everything as represented in the listing. Excellent communications with owner.

The view of the sunrise was fantastic. The fall decorations in the house were a lovely, festive touch and the wall heaters in each of the bedrooms were a godsend, since we had some temps in the teens at night. The kitchen was one of the best-equipped that I've seen in a rental. Finally, the host was very helpful and quick to respond to messages.

When coming into the home we noticed a strong smell of pet dander in the home but we were able to clean off enough surfaces and open windows. The heating system worked very well in the home but the cool air didn’t when we switched it. Other than that we enjoyed our stay of relaxing and snow activities.

We are sorry to hear, through your review, that you experienced an issue. In the future, please reach out to us during your stay. I arrived after you, it was not pet dander, it was a mouse that had come in the ceiling of the first floor bedroom. I had to reach out to my pest service to come out and remedy the situation. I agree, the odor was strong. During the winter months and being in the rural mountains, small animals (squirrels, chipmunks, small mice) will come inside looking for warmth. We have a great past service that will always come out if there are issues. Also, regarding our mini splits, they are all connected to the same unit. They all have to be on heat or on AC. You can’t have one unit on AC and one on heat or it will not turn on. We have a great property manager that could have talked you through that process. Please, always reach out to hosts or property managers before leaving reviews. We take great pride in our home and have an exceptional cleaning team and property manager that will take care of any issues during our guest’s stay.

Perfect home for our family

This was a great home for our family to spend Thanksgiving. Plenty of space for everyone and we loved the open floor plan of the main level. Home was decorated nicely and had everything we needed, plus many special touches. Wish we could have enjoyed the deck but we were limited on time and weather. The trail to the waterfall is a must do... a nice quick little hike. If you're leary on renting as a "new" listing on VRBO, I realized this home has been rented out for years and the guest book supports many great experiences!

Heavenly

This amazing home is even better than the photos. The property manager replied within minutes to ANY questions. There's plenty to do within 25 miles, but you could stay within the Wintergreen Resort area & there's still plenty to do for all ages. We hiked, visited breweries & wineries, went tubing, and relaxed on the huge deck with beautiful weather, in mid-July, while people in the valley experienced a heat wave. It was at least 12 degrees cooler at the cabin than in town. Bottom line, this home is clean, stocked with everything you need (and more) to cook, and ideal for family & friends to stay under one roof. I give it 10 out of 10 and highly recommend it.
