Welcome to Lynn's Retreat, our country cabin where you can relax and get away from it all. Sit on our large covered deck and watch nature at her best. It's possible to see deer, turkey, fox and our resident ground hog. There is one bedroom with a queen bed and a loft with twin beds. The view is incredible from the loft and the front deck. Cozy up to the gas fireplace or the outdoor fire pit. No need to wash dishes as there is a dishwasher, also a full size stove with oven, and a small refrigerator. You can wash your clothes before going home in the washer/dryer unit. We recently installed central heat and air, also.
Just bring yourself, personal items, your favorite movies, books and/or music and sit back and enjoy. Towels, bed sheets, trash bags, all cooking utensils are provided. We are located within a 30 minute drive from five different lakes for fishing. You can also visit our local Amish Store and Bakery. Check-in is 4:00 pm and check-out is 11:00 am.
We hope you'll enjoy your stay and that you feel at home.

What an absolute wonderful little cabin! Everything was great. The hosts have thought of everything! Only problem was the driveway, but there had been a lot of rain in the area so extra holes are not anyone’s fault. Stayed for a volleyball tournament and will definitely be back again!!

I cleaned the cabin. I wash the bed sheets and put the others on. Mopped and swept and vacuum. The cabin was very cleaned and a beautiful place. I definitely be back. This was my 2nd time and I plan on coming back. And I forgot my coat. Is there anyway that you could send it to me. I will pay the postage. My address is 620 Rockhill Ave Kettering Ohio 45429. Perfect place to unplug

We decided we needed a few days to rest and unplug from the world. We brought our favorite books and board games, though there were plenty on site as well, and enjoyed meals cooked on the grill. Exactly what we were hoping for.

FANTASTIC GEM

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. There were plenty of amenities, from towels, bathroom items, kitchen items, blankets, sheets, coffee, tea, etc. much appreciated. We were down for the weekend to watch the RNSC horse competition. Location was perfect. Hope to be back again. Thank you so much for making us feel like we were at home.

Beauty and Peacefulness - Inside and Outside!

Climbing the front steps, we were immediately greeted by the amazing porch which made me want to sit down immediately and soak in the great view and the fresh air. Upon opening the front door, I was relieved with how clean and charming the cabin was. The online pictures are true to the actual cabin. There were all kinds of little extra touches that went above being functional and totally added to the delight of being there. We would definitely return! We hiked at Hocking Hills one day which is of course a treat but if you want to avoid the crowds, we recommend Lake Katherine for a hike where you can just enjoy God's creation in tranquility. Patricia told us about it and if was so peaceful and beautiful. The whole weekend was a blessing!

Wonderful Private Cabin

Everything was excellent with the exception of one item. The rug in the downstairs bedroom slides easily under your feet. This could be dangerous for an older person

We didn’t stay long but hope to come back again sometime! The property and cabin were both beautiful (and very clean) plus the owner was super helpful and friendly! If you’re thinking about booking this place you definitely should! :)

Peaceful Serenity

Beautiful cabin in a quiet, serene location

If you’re thinking about booking this cabin, do yourself a favor and book it now! This place is immaculate! They have everything you could possibly need. The pictures do not do it justice! We loved every minute of our stay there. They have board games and cornhole a beautiful fire pit, and even firewood waiting for you and more! We spent the majority of our time on the beautiful front porch in the glide rockers. You will not regret staying here. There’s good food close by and it’s quiet and peaceful and a great place to get away. The owners are super easy to work with. We loved it! There’s hiking close by and beautiful state parks. Lovely experience all the way around! Exceeded all my expectations!

Lovely and Relaxing

I had a client stay here and they loved it! We filmed at Dogwood Pass for over a week and I coordinated the lodging of Eric Roberts at this location and it was fantastic! I left a review regarding the stay on another review and he LOVED staying here! Pat was super accommodating about allowing us to set up items in the cabin for Eric that came with his rider in advance of him arriving. Eric loved staying here and talked about coming back to the area with his wife. Lovely, lovely cabin! Thank you for the fantastic time! Ruby

Lovely and Private!

I reserved this lovely stay for Eric Roberts, Eric was cast as a leading role in a film I produced at Dogwood Pass from Aug4 to the 13th. Eric absolutely adored staying here and talked about coming back to the area and wanting to stay here again with his wife. He really loved the seclusion and the fact that he was unreachable to the outside world due to not having wifi and the service being spotty. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and the next time I'm in the area I will look into staying here. Pat was super accommodating with allowing me to drop items of Eric's off early that came with his rider and then allowing him to leave items so that he could have them in a few days when he returned. Everything about the transaction was fantastic! Thank you so very much for making this stay fantastic and easy! Ruby

Absolutely loved it. The place was great. Planning on going again. Getting up early and drinking coffee on the porch and building a fire at night and cooking out. Everything about the cabin was great. It was so relaxing.

Comfortable & Quiet Cabin Getaway

This cabin is a perfect hide away in rural Ohio. The property is beautiful and the cabin was clean and cozy. We were able to enjoy the quiet and rest easy knowing we were in a well maintained place. The only quirks I would note for visitors is the driveway is not fully paved and the gravel is patchy so it is mildly challenging driving up to the property from the main road if your car sits lower. Also, this is not an accessible cabin for anyone who can’t do stairs. The entrance is up some fairly steep steps. That said, if you are able to take them slowly, and spend your time primarily inside/on the porch, you will feel comfortable in the space.

Secluded and spacious getaway cabin

If you’re looking for a quiet and spacious getaway rental with lots (or little) to do, this cabin is for you. The cabin is large, as is the yard, and is away from the hustle and bustle. If you want to lounge about and not do much at all, this cabin has everything you need: a firepit, grill, board games, books, a large yard, plenty of outdoor (and indoor) seating, and lots of relaxing wildlife and plants - hummingbirds and berries included. The cabin also is nearby lots of great places to explore, hike, and dine. Just a few of the local exploration/hikes include: Lake Katharine State Nature Preserve, Samson/Obrist Woods, Johnson Road covered bridge, Bug Run Waterfall at Jackson Lake, Leo Petroglyphs and Nature Preserve, Buckeye Furnace, and Hammertown Lake. This cabin exceeded all expectations and the hosts were very accommodating. I highly recommend and hope to return again soon.

My husband and I are from rural Southern Ohio. We enjoy nature and traveling. It was our wish to share our beautiful are of the country with other who may need a little getaway from the hustle and bustle of life.

When you look out the window or sit on the porch, you will see fields, trees and a large yard. You may also see deer, turkey, a variety of birds and possibly a groundhog or two. The trees a full of an abundance of color in the fall season. We also have several blooming trees in the spring season. You will find a very peaceful, relaxing setting.

Our home is a cabin in the woods, literally. The main floor is 768 sq ft. It has a fully furnished living area, queen bedroom, loft with twin beds and a fully stocked kitchen. There is a large porch for relaxing and drinking your morning coffee or reading a book. We hope it will make you feel at home and want to come back some time.
