Dear Barbara, My name is Holly and I am a new property manager at Oceanside Properties. I first want to thank you for trusting us with your vacation plans. I am so sorry that you were disappointed with your stay! The mattresses at this property are memory foam and are fairly firm. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to cater to all tastes with a rental unit when our guests have varying levels of comfort. The ice machine in the freezer was in the 'OFF' position. It's possible that the previous guest had turned it off because they didn't want to hear the sound of the ice dropping into the bin. Our apologies for this inconvenience. It has been turned back 'ON' for the next guest. The two issues that we have also addressed are the salt and pepper and the toilet paper. Our mistakes... There absolutely should have been salt and pepper in the kitchen and we intend to supply a small selection of condiments in the future in all of our rental properties. The housekeeper who cleaned the unit and supplied the toilet paper made a sub-standard purchase and stocked the bathrooms with a 2-ply paper that I agree is too thin. We have discussed the concern with her it and it will be replaced immediately. We really appreciate you taking the time to write a review, positive or negative. We are in the hospitality business and it is our business to a creative a positive experience for every guest enabling their vacation experience to be enjoyable and memorable.
