With a distinct yellow exterior, this bright, three bedroom, two and a half bathroom character home is a beautiful property and within walking distance to the train station and downtown Truckee! INSIDE THE HOME

This home has been lovingly decorated to be a chic Truckee getaway with comfortable furnishings and light, airy rooms. The unique, spacious kitchen, large living room, stunning patio views, intimate dining area, inviting conservatory and stylish powder room, the main level of Holy Cow provides guests with an impressive welcome.

On the upper level of this beautiful home, guests will find a primary suite with private hot tub patio, a secondary queen bedroom and full bedroom with access to a lovely four piece bathroom.

The unique Holy Cow Downtown Riverfront is located near downtown Truckee just a walk away from shopping, dining, sightseeing and everything else downtown Truckee has to offer! If you want to explore the area by car, highways 267 and 80 are easily and quickly accessible so you're only ten minutes away from Northstar and fifteen minutes away from Squaw Valley!

Fun Downtown Truckee

Really cool location a couple blocks from the main drag of downtown Truckee. Right on the river. Really enjoyed our stay here. Great communication with management, clean, super comfortable stay. Could use a bit of an update on the A/V system but other than that it was great!

Wonderful location and home

Great location. Great amenities.

Spent a week here with our family over Thanksgiving. It was perfectly stocked with everything we needed to settle in. And perfectly located to stroll to the many great restaurants in downtown Truckee. Loved the view of the river (and train). Loved the hot tub. Loved the fireplace.

Really fabulous property in Truckee

This house was great for hosting a long weekend with family. The location right on the river, with very easy access to the river was fantastic. The home was very clean, modern and had all the amenities that one could ask for to feel like home. Very comfortable and super clean. We would definitely love to stay here again in the future!

Wonderful spot

Great location and communication from the team. They let us stay an extra hour at the end which made a big difference. The cows were a hit.

Perfect Location

This house was in the perfect location with a beautiful view. We were able to walk over to historic down town truckee and enjoy all the restaurants and Shopping. I cant wait to stay in winter. I highly recommend this home.

Best Little Getaway!

Staying at the Holy Cow house was an absolute delight! Nestled right on the Truckee River and just a short stroll to downtown, the location couldn't have been more perfect. The host left a very sweet message and a brief history of the Holy Cow house, which made us feel incredibly connected to this charming home. We will definitely be coming back!

Cool House and Great Location

We enjoyed our stay at Holy Cow during our annual family ski trip. The house is perfectly located downtown along the river with a few minute walk to some great restaurants and bars. Communication with the property manager was easy and the team was very responsive and polite. We would love to stay again and highly recommend to others.

Wonderful spot in Truckee!

The property is clean, well maintained, and is very short walk to downtown Truckee. The hosts were responsive and helpful. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed sitting n the patio and relaxing with the beautiful view of the river.

Holy Cow

House was great!!! We had a blast. One of the note pages indicated complimentary passes to Donner Ski Ranch - we didn't see any - boy that sure would have been nice since we all went there.

Great house in downtown Truckee

This house was perfect for our family of 3 (and could have fit a couple more people as well). We were comfortable, cozy and warm despite freezing weather and storms. The hot tub was amazing, and everything worked perfectly. The commute to Northstar for skiing was easy, and we loved being able to walk to restaurants and shops in Truckee! We would definitely stay there again.

Watch the River Flow

Great Location - 2 minute walk to downtown Truckee shopping and restaurants. Beautiful, well-appointed home on a quiet street. Everything inside was comfortable and up to date. The views from both indoors and the beautiful decks (hot tub deck off master and large deck on main floor) are tremendous. The property is located directly on the Truckee River and is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the unobstructed sights and sounds of the river!

Great Winter Spot

Beautiful location, big kitchen w open view of the river and downtown Truckee, very comfortable and convenient for anything in the Truckee area. Hot tub on the balcony in the winter was phenomenal!

We love this home! It is the perfect location on the river and easy walk to Truckee for restaurants and entertainment. Beautiful views of the river including a small sandy beach area! The home is furnished with everything you need...most things are brand new including the bedding and towels and remodeled bathrooms. The owner even left us a welcome gift...fudge from the local sweet shop in town. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place.

Amazing!

We loved, loved, loved this home, we called it "our house", this is the iconic Cow house in Truckee that we drove by almost every time we visited Truckee and always wondered what it was like inside. Where do I start, beautiful mix of Holywood and Truckee, we were on a girls' get-away and it couldn't have been better. It's been fully remodeled and updated, the bedding is high quality, so are the towels, found Aveda toiletries and the hot tub was divine. We will be back, we had the best stay!

Leave the car in the driveway

Easy access to Old Truckee on foot. Easy on/off to the freeway, Truckee River access out the back of the property. What's not to like? There are train horns that occur every few hours each day but our family enjoyed the trains. You will feel like a local in this rental. Great home.
