Summary:
Perfect log cabin , walk to the river, wifi, gas grill, firepit, canoe. It sleeps eight with three bedrooms and a loft. You can park a truck with an atv/sled trailer in the driveway. This cabin is 40 minutes away from Yellowstone. After a fun day, come back and relax in this cabin in the woods. Enjoy nature, unplug from your life. But, of course, we do have fast wifi and streaming tv for guests who want to stay connected.

The Space:
Perfect log cabin , walk to the river, wifi, gas grill, firepit, canoe. It sleeps six with three bedrooms and loft. You can park two trucks and atv/sled trailers in the driveway. This cabin is 40 minutes away from Yellowstone. After a fun day, come back and relax in this cabin in the woods. Enjoy nature, unplug from your life. But, of course, we do have fast wifi and streaming tv for guests who want to stay connected. NO A/C, NO CAMPERS.

The space

Sleeps eight, easy to find using GPS, far enough off Highway 20 for privacy, but close enough for easy access. Guests have use of a canoe. Walking distance to the inlet to Island Park Resevoir. The driveway can handle two trucks and trailers depending on size of the truck and trailer. Extra trailer parking available in the Meadow Creek lot on the way to the property from highway 20. Lakeside lodge is a snowmobile short trip across the reservoir, play in powdery fields or head for the mountains right from the cabin. Enjoy winter trail access for cross country skiing or snowmobiling right from the neighborhood. Extra parking for trailers is available in the parking lot at the entrance to Stamp Meadows Rd on your way to the property from Highway 20.

Other things to note

Lakeside lodge is a short trip by snowmobile across the reservoir, and you can play in powdery fields or head for the mountains right from the cabin.

The Neighborhood:
Boat launch access in the neighborhood. The water is an easy walk from the cabin. During the winter you can take off on your snowmobiles right from the cabin. Lakeside lodge is a snowmobile short trip across the reservoir, play in powdery fields or head for the mountains right from the cabin.

Great cabin close to the lake

This was exactly as described and was only about 3 forest blocks from the lake. It was clean and had everything needed for cooking. It even has separate towels to use for the hot tub.

Great cabin with room for the family

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We had room for the whole family and were close to the water. It was a great place to relax and unwind after a long day touring Yellowstone.

Great Family Stay

We were a family of 4 visiting Yellowstone and this was a great home base. We were able to get in and out the park easily from the Cabin. We had plenty of room and the hot tub was a great way to relax at the end of the day.

Wonderful cabin and location

We loved our stay here. The cabin is beautiful and located in the woods, close to the Island Park reservoir. It is surrounded by ATV, mountain bike, and snowmobile trails. The cabin was very clean, and very fresh, and had all of the amenities that you would need. I would definitely return here.

Snowmobiling in West Yellowstone

While this property is a 40 minute drive from West Yellowstone, it's a quick ride. We also liked that it was close to a number of restaurants on Henry Lake - Lakeside Lodge, etc. We thought it was central to the trails on the map and really enjoyed our stay.

Really nice Cabin

WE LOVED OUR STAY. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PLACE. COZY AND COMFORTABLE. THE HOT TUB WAS A PLUS FOR SURE. GREAT LOCATION. CLOSE TO THE LAKE. CLOSE TO YELLOW STONE AND OTHER MUST SEE PLACE LIKE MESA FALLS AND BIG SPRINGS.

Great location and water access

We had a large group of family stay at this location for a family trip and greatly enjoyed the easy access to the day on the lake and the canoe. The bedrooms were very comfortable and we also enjoyed the hot tub. The only negative is that the kitchen is poorly equipped with basic working utensils and cleaning supplies.

Fun family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay, it was just right for our family. Only suggestion would be to update the utensils and cookware. A broken mixing bowl and only 1 measuring spoon made it a little difficult.

Perfect for our family vacation

We needed a cabin in the woods and that is what we got. The covered porch is awesome. We floated down the river and watched bears and wolves in Yellowstone by day. At night we played games and sat around a campfire. Thank you for loaning us your roomy and rustic cabin.

Great Island Park retreat

The cabin was nestled in a great, quiet community in Island Park. The owner left a great book on activities, restaurant reviews, and general tips and advice that was very helpful. The cabin had everything as advertised and as written in previous reviews. Everything was clean and our stay was enjoyable. The only drawback was that the beds were more firm than our preferred arrangements. Loved having access to the canoe & the beautiful area.

Short summer vacation!

We enjoyed our stay at your location very much. Outdoor grill was really nice and enough beds to fit our needs. Clean and exactly what we needed for our family! Only thing I would say is it seemed that the jets in hot tub were not working as strong as they should be. Other then that things were great.

Cute cabin

My husband and I and our son stayed here for our Yellowstone trip. It was not a bad drive to get to Yellowstone but it’s pretty remote where it’s located. It’s good if you like quiet. The cabin could’ve been cleaner as there were cob webs. Overall ok.

Good location in the trees and a nice hot tub on the porch. Fairly close to fishing and the lake.

One big complaint with an old, noisy sqeeky bed upstairs. The cabin description says there are two life vests for the canoe, but there is only one. We loved the moose browsing through the woods.

Beautiful Stay with plenty of room

Everything was great and as expected. My only suggestion, and I understand this is a difficult thing to do in the winter with all the snow and being remote, is that the hot tub didn't seem very clean and after the first day of sitting in it, none of us wanted to get back in it. Otherwise, no complaints at all.

Large Cabin Roomy comfortable and not a populated crowded area

We traveled here from Spokane Washington in late August 2018. It was the perfect distance outside the park to not have the large crowds at rest time. We had seclusion when we came home to rest after a long day in yellowstone park. The west entance to yellowstone is easy access to all the geological sites within a half hour drive. We saw Bison,Elk, Cayotes up close and personal near the West entrance to Yellowstone. We traveled one day all the way to Jackson Hole for a day trip. Great location for all the yellowstone sites without battleing the crowds for your restful evenings. My son age 10 caught 8 bass in the reservoir off the dock near by.

Beautiful, peaceful forest setting. Was the ideal place for our annual snowmobile trip. Very spacious and roomy cabin, comfortable beds, bbq and hot tub make for an enjoyable stay. Roads in the subdivision were plowed every time it snowed. No fear of being stuck. Andrew our property manager was just outstanding! Super friendly and anytime we had a question for him he would respond within five minutes. When we told him the propane ran out for the barbecue he was very apologetic and was there immediately with a new tank. Truly outstanding service and would highly recommend staying here!

Guys Snowmobile Trip

We liked the property and location to the areas we wanted to ride. The house suited our needs. We thought it was bigger from online pics, but we made due. The Parking was tight for two full size trucks and two 27' snowmobile trailers. Overall we liked it and would consider renting it again. Only issues was the hot tub jets didn't work. Still used hot tub though. The electric baseboard in lower bathroom and lower bedroom wouldn't turn down or off so those rooms got pretty warm. Everything else was decent and in working order. It was nice having a grill to cook our steaks. It was nice having a dryer and the gas fireplace to dry out our snowmobile clothing. The Tv and Satelite worked good, internet was nice to have. Thanks for letting us rent your home. Mike

Quiet but lacking

This house was nice but needed some up keep. Pros about the house: Roomy. Relatively clean. Quiet. Hot water does not run out. Showers are good. Cons about the house: The internet is very slow and sometimes (most of the time) does not work, the router needs a bump. They don't tell you this in your contract but you have to remove the sheets and take them to the laundry room before you leave, there is a list of what you are suppose to do on the refrigerator. Small mirrors in the bathroom and there are none anywhere else in the house. You have to wash and dry the towels before you leave (they do tell you this in the contract). The dryer doesn't fully dry towels or clothing. Bathrooms are dark. You have to take off your trash (they do tell you this in the contract). The grass needs to be mowed. The deck and hot tub are covered in dirt and pollen. The mattresses are very hard and the pillows are dirty (you find this out after you have to remove the sheets). The linens are old and worn. I would suggest washing the dishes and linens before you use them. The drive to anywhere is long but very nice.

Island Park Stay

The listing was much further from the lake than indicated. We had kayaks which meant we had to walk them back and forth each day. Their close meant just under .5 miles. I was under the impression the cabin was much closer to the lake. As we wanted to spend more time fishing and playing in the water, this was not ideal. We ended up using Big Springs river which is much more clear and beautiful. I was thinking the fire pit outside would have been nice but it was little more than a few rocks with about 6 pieces of wood next to it. We stayed for 4 nights and there was barely enough wood for one night. It would be nice if there was a nice stack of wood and an upgraded fire pit for roasting marshmallows etc. My daughter and her husband's bedroom had a really old mattress. They have a new baby in the room. The bed was so squeaky that whenever they rolled over during the night they would occasionally wake the baby. The loft bed is also really old and squeaky. Time to update. We were on vacation, but the owner has so many disclaimers about doing this or that, and the threat of charging us an extra $100 for for several things like, if you don't get OUT on time, if there is a pine needle in the Jacuzzi etc. I'm sure they've had some bad experiences so we left by 9am. Really, a waste of a vacation day for us because we had to clean and spend time washing the towels etc. I go on vacation to get away from the daily chores but they found us. I don't want to spend my time cleaning and washing for the next person. Felt like we where back home working and cleaning to avoid a $100 fee. We had 7 people and it was tight. Better to have about 4-5 as there not a lot of room in the kitchen or TV area. The DISH was nice, we got to watch the Olympics in the evenings. The place was just fine, I think we have other ideas of what a vacation is and how close is close, when it comes to the lake. Thanks

Great Cabin!

Great cabin we were not able to find easy access to the river or hiking trails near by. We were able to walk around the neighborhood which was very quiet and peaceful. Hot tub worked great and was serviced several times we were there to keep it clean! Horseback riding and ATV options are close by. I would stay in this location again!
