Skiing, Fishing, ATV, UMF, FMH - Located 40 minutes from Sugarloaf USA, 14 Minutes to Farmington, and under 4 minutes to the lake beach, this cozy cape is nestled in the little village of New Vineyard, ME. It has been freshened up with many modern updates while keeping the old-fashioned charm. The kitchen is loaded with everything you may need! Plenty of fresh linens and a washer/dryer! 3 bedrooms and 1,200 Sq Ft. Sip your coffee on the balcony off the kitchen or look up at the stars around the backyard firepit. We will even start the basement woodstove and make the house warm and cozy before you arrive! The perfect place to relax and refresh!! Check out our reviews!! (If you want to stay during a time we have personally blocked out, please send us a message and we will see what we can do. Nightly price applies to up to four people. Small fee for one or two extra people over four.)

This is a wonderful family friendly home with very helpful hosts. It is not too far from the nearest city. It is extremely clean and cup and Kathy are wonderful hosts.

It is very clean and organized and really cozy. Easy to locate and the hosts are very nice and helpful if there is any problems they are great! stocked very well in kitchen, bathroom and easy to use the kitchen too.

Another perfect trip!

Once again, Chip and Kathy have provided us with a key ingredient to any perfect vacation: a home away from home! Maine is so beautiful, and there cabin makes a great home base.

Great Stay

The house is actually more roomy than the pictures appear. It has an open kitchen/dining room area that is quite large. Comfy beds and accurate listing. Would stay again.

The fall viewers were amazing. The house was great and super cute and Chip and Kathy thought of everything that you would need to enjoy your stay! They are so kind, thoughtful and we had a great time visiting with them too! Would highly recommend staying here!!

Cozy cottage

This is a perfect spot. Beautiful little house. Everything you need. 15 min from UMF and downtown Farmington. Kathy and Chip are excellent hosts. We’ve stayed here 3 times and I would highly recommend!

Great property, great owners

If you’re looking for a Maine getaway in the woods, close to Sugarloaf, Diadema golf course, Farmington this is the place for you. Owners are great, pie is excellent, property is clean and well cared for. Highly recommend.

Cozy Stayover

Great accommodations from Chip and Kathy. In addition, they live nearby which is great in case anything pops up. Wood stove was already on when we arrived which was warm and cozy. House is right off of Rt 27 with about a 30 minute ride to the Sugarloaf base lodge. Will definitely stay there again.

Beautiful and comfortable house

We loved our two nights here. The bed linens (particularly upstairs) were very comfortable and the kitchen was convenient with everything you need. The bathroom was nice and the shower strong. We didn’t meet the owners but texted with them and they were very accommodating about what we needed to do at checkout (not much). We recommend this house!

Great Location for UMaine Farmington Graduation

Cathy and Chip are wonderful hosts! Liz is a terrific communicator. We rented the VRBO while we enjoyed our daughter's graduation from UMaine Farmington. The house is cozy, neat, well laid out and perfect for our stay. Thanks for making the weekend memory-filled!

New Vineyard, ME

We had a nice stay. The layout if the house is nice with a long front room with kithen at one end and dining towards the other. It keeps people together. I like having a "TV" room off the main area to keep it separate. Chip and Kathy were welcoming hosts and kept the fire going in the woidstove.

Another great visit to Maine

Booked this cozy home in New Vineyard because it was close to the areas we wanted to visit. Perfect stay. Great communication with hosts, clear instructions. Home was spotless, comfortable, warm and well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy a cup of coffee & tea and cook meals. Also enjoyed the fire pit and making smores! Because this house sits a little higher than the others nearby, it gives a great view to all the beautiful fall foliage all around. Another bonus is it is very close to Porter Lake and Farmington. We would definitely book this home again. The hosts are very kind and welcoming.

I grew up in the small town of New Vineyard Maine and continue to live in the area with my husband Chip. I am a finish carpenter and love working on a variety of projects. Chip and I work mostly together which is a joy to both of us. I enjoy hosting friends and family at our home and near by cabin. We are really excited about opening up my Grandmother's former home and pray that it will be a blessing to all who stay here! We like to be as disconnected as possible to the craziness of the world around us and do not feel the need to have a computer or email address; so we have asked our friend Liz P to host this property for us online and take care of the technology side of things. Chip & I will be available by phone and in person while our guests are at this property to help you with any needs or questions you may have. We look forward to getting to know you through our guest book or in person and hope that you enjoy this peaceful, cozy home! - Kathy

I also have grown up in Maine and not far from New Vineyard. I have been working part-time in real estate for 5 years. I also manage a few rental properties for some out of state, mutual friends. I was excited when Chip and Kathy asked me to manage the technology side of their Vrbo property! As a full-time wife/secretary and mother I enjoy this variety of small part-time jobs that allow me to provide a little extra income for our family as well as the time to take care of my family. My husband is also a carpenter and has worked with Chip and Kathy on projects throughout the years. As their long-time friends we can attest to their warm hospitality! Vacation is a great time to relax, rest, fellowship, laugh, talk, and re-connect with the people right in front of you! You could even cook together with a fully equipped kitchen! Stay for a while and use our washer and dryer! Tell stories and roast marshmallows around the firepit! There are ATV and snowmobile trails right near the property! Skiing 40 minutes north! Swim at the town beach just a few minutes away! Hike some of the mountains nearby! Come unwind and check out the possibilities of restful quietness or nearby activities!
