Home on the River. There is no dock access to the River. A boat launch is 1/2 South. This home has all the amenities you need. 2 queen beds. One has an adjustable base with the ability to raise/lower your head/feet. One has a select comfort air bed to adjust the firmness of the bed. A large family room with wood burning fireplace, we provide the wood, that opens up to a 3 season porch. Large couch and coffee table with games. A high top table dining room that seats 6 and a coffee bar/ work space for 3 more people. Fisherman and hunters welcome also.
Come and enjoy all that Wabasha has to offer. Ice fishing, downhill skiing, thrift shops & boutiques, eagle watching, Slippery’s Bar & Grill, Home of Grumpy Old Men. Coffee shop, State land nearby for hiking. Drive your ATV on county roads legally.

Nice & quiet

This was a fun get away for a 37th wedding anniversary. The place was exactly like what the pictures show. We love the area and this was a great place for peace and quiet. The bird watching and nature sounds were a bonus. We didnt see the northern lights but stayed up late anyways.

Great place on the river

This is the third time we've stayed at this property. Very nice and comfortable place. Had several eagle sightings this time also.

Private, quiet and cozy !!!

This home was clean, very well set up and comfortable. Location was just a few miles to Wabasha downtown. Most all was what we expected. Only draw back was the outside stairs to the dock were roped off due to there poor condition and the dock on river didn't look very safe even if we had been able to get to it. I would recommend that it not be on the listing about access to "dock on river"! Till steps & dock are replaced or repaired to be safe !!!

Nice spot by the river

We enjoyed a short stay at this cabin right on the river. It is a short drive to Wabasha and was a quiet, cozy place. Great A/C for some hot weather. The only drawback is that there was clearly a smoker living in the house prior to it being a rental, but the current owners have done a very nice job in fixing up the interior. Would stay here again.

Perfect Location

Gina’s property was just as described. Everything was provided, down to dog dishes and bird food for the feeders. The house is kept in immaculate condition, it’s a beautiful cabin on the river. The stairs to the dock and the dock itself were a bit intimidating, but the yard was amazing. We saw so many birds. The town is absolutely incredible.

Amazing Stay

We absolutely loved our stay at the River Cabin. Gina thought of so many cozy details that truly made it feel like home: lots of cozy blankets, plush towels, candles, and even dog bowls for our pups. The place was incredibly clean and well cared for. We plan to stay again this fall!

A beautiful and restful place to be together with family. Amenities included toiletries, fruit, muffins, and Keurig with all varieties of K cups!! If I get back to Wabasha, I will definitely stay at this great place

Wonderful Getaway Place!

As so many have mentioned, Gina is a great host! Probably one of the fastest responses to all of my questions I have ever experienced on VRBO. She is prompt curtious and so thoughtful! One thing I reached out to her prior to our stay was asking if they had a mixer or beaters in the house, as I was planning on baking. And much to our surprise when we showed up, not only was there a hand mixer, but she also included measuring cups / spoons and a couple size pans! She went out and bought them all. This kitchen is so well stocked, and she has thought of everything that anyone could need. Was also happy to find a little food processor, as I was planning on making salad dressings from scratch, so this came in handy as well! The views are amazing, the house was beyond clean, beds super comfy, and great sitting areas to just chat and watch nature! We planned on having a fire outside at the firepit, but rain unfortunately stopped us from doing that, but luckily there was a small wood burning fireplace inside, which we utilized every night. It was a perfect long weekend! Thank you again!!

Eagle Watching

Perfection

Gina and Troy are excellent hosts. I'm very very picky when it comes to cleanliness and I can honestly say the home was immaculate! Even the areas that normally get overlooked (like the bathroom exhaust fan and floor registers) were spotless. This fact set the stage for a wonderfully relaxing girl's trip with my best friend. This was a perfect place to relax in front of a wood burning fireplace and watch a movie. The view outside of the Mississippi was so peaceful. Decor was simple and inviting. Even though this is an older home, it is well maintained and there is no musty smell like older homes tend to have. Mattresses were great. I woke up without any back pain. Gina was a kind, attentive and accommodating hostess. She responded quickly to a few questions we had and was so kind to supply us with some snacks for our stay. We will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended! Thank you Gina and Troy for opening up your home to us. We had a great time!

Pet-friendly cottage in the woods, fantastic host

This house was just what we needed—close to family, pet friendly, lovely wooded setting and just the right size. The host was generous in allowing us to reschedule after a blizzard delayed our plans. There were no demands or extra fees, which we appreciated. We had a fantastic view of the river valley and plenty of natural light. I would like to visit again in other seasons.

Lovely long weekend

We enjoyed our stay! The view from the living room was lovely and helped to give a sense of being more out in nature. The location was close to town for anything we needed and a good base for visiting parks and wilderness areas. The beds were great and we slept well! Thank you!

Beautiful and Cozy

Such a welcoming home to stay in. The views are beautiful, there is enough room to spread out in the house and feel very comfortable. Gina and Troy are lovely hosts and are immediately responsive to any questions. Comfy beds too! We'll definitely stay here again for a quiet getaway.
