Basque in the sunshine at the pool (seasonal) or hike one of the many trails at a State Forest just two tenths of a mile away. Close to thriving West Hartford Center with loads of restaurants and shopping. Hiking trails, local breweries and wineries close by. All the ingredients for a magical weekend getaway.

Loved our stay at this beautiful property. The hosts are very nice and helpful. Apartment was very spacious and overlooked the pool and grounds. Incredibly quiet and peaceful, we would love to return!

Second stay at this lovely property for our daughter's graduation from UHart, the apartment is clean, spacious, and bright (bring an eye mask if you want to sleep in), love the animals (even the morning wake-up call from the beautiful roosters), especially the fresh eggs we bought when we left (delicious for breakfast the first morning after we got home!) Hosts are wonderful, very responsive and happy to chat about the farm. Great hikes nearby - we stayed an extra night this year so we were sure to have time to climb up to Hublein Tower in Talcott Mtn State Park right down the street. Wonderful restaurants in nearby West Hartford, Simsbury, and Bloomfield. Bittersweet that our daughter is done at UHart, would love another excuse to stay again.

We enjoyed our stay. You are greeted by three happy dogs. The pool was spectacular, we enjoyed easy access to trails at Talcott state park.

With the spaciousness of the apartment, combined with the farm animals and pool this place is perfect for a family. If the kids are interested in farm animals this is a fun spot for them.

We had a great stay. The apartment above the stable was spacious and beautiful. The scenery was beautiful. The hosts were friendly and provided everything you could want for a stay. Look forward to staying with them again.

We greatly enjoyed are stay here. Apartment was spacious and clean. Our daughter loved playing with the animals, particularly the dogs and cats. Picking strawberries was also a lot of fun for her. Close to many activities and restaurants. Even got to use the pool when the weather cooperated.

Just amazing!

Beautiful, spacious house on top of the horse staples.literally the horses & donkey were sleeping downstairs of our place. What a beautiful experience! Frank & Julliane gave us nice tour of the farm. Also nice hiking trail close by.

The property was breathtaking, the place was spacious, comfortable, and beautiful. Felt like a dream walking into the barn and then walking up the steps into the suite! Highly recommended! The owners were so kind and welcoming! 5 stars across the board.

Amazing apartment

What a spacious, amazing apartment on a beautiful farm. We were in town for our daughter's graduation from Univ. of Hartford, it's less than 15 minutes from campus, so a perfect spot and enough room for her to come over and us not all be cramped in a hotel room. Have already booked for next year's master's graduation ceremony. So much to do nearby, booked for an extra night so we have more time to hike and explore.

Hi there! We are Julianne and Frank. We traded the hustle and grind of the business world to become farmers in 2020, and we haven't looked back since! When we are not being farmers, we love to travel the world and meet new friends. Since the farm ties us to home more regularly now, we enjoy meeting new friends when they book our property. :-)

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

We purchased this farm in April of 2020 and underwent a major lifestyle change! It was our dream to own a farm and have horses we could spend our days with. We were beyond thrilled to find such a beautiful oasis atop a mountain, yet so close to all of the restaurants, shops and services we use all the time.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

We are so happy to have horses (both ours, and those who board with us but belong to others in our barn family), donkeys, goats, chickens, cats and our three Australian Shepherd pups. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it!

When it's time to relax, it's great to kick back with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and take in the gorgeous views. You can even see the downtown Hartford skyline from our place. And in the summer (Memorial Day through Labor Day), it's awesome to jump into the heated pool when the weather is hot!
