Summary:
Our 2021 constructed craftsmen cottage is nestled in the woods but very close to Palmer. This is a quiet 8 acre parcel but only 5 minutes from breweries, shops and restaurants in downtown Palmer. Close to Hatcher Pass, Independence Mine, Glaciers, Hiking, Musk Ox and Reindeer farms. The owner's house is also on the property and they are available to you throughout your stay. The owners have lived in Alaska for over 40 years and are committed to helping you with all there is to experience!

The Space:
Forestlane Cottages were designed and built solely by the owner with simplicity, efficiency and quality. The cottage and windows are situated to provide privacy but yet enjoy the outdoor space where it is located. Enjoy the private cedar wood porch in the morning sun or midday and evening shade from the surrounding trees. The cottage living room has a gas fireplace and reclinable couch chairs to enjoy a tv show or relax from a long day of adventure in Alaska. The kitchen is provided with all the utensils and cookware to provide guest everything they need to make a great home cooked meal.

Guest Access:
All guest have access to the full cottage and the surrounding woods. The quarter mile driveway through the woods and the half mile access road is vey lightly traveled and offer a pleasant walk and fantastic views of the fields and mountains that surround Palmer.

The cottage is well built, tastefully designed with beautiful furniture/decor and high quality linens. It's close to town and local attractions (Indepence Mine, Hatcher Pass and musk ox farm). The property is private and peaceful - the mountain scenery in Palmer is spectacular. Owners are super responsive and helpful. It is truly one of best vacation rental experiences we've had.

We really enjoyed staying in this spotlessly clean, nicely decorated, fully stocked cottage. The hosts paid attention to the little details like providing coffee and tea, plenty of extra towels, hand soap, etc. We especially appreciated having the full sized washer and dryer with detergent and dryer sheets available for us to use. Checkin was easy and the hosts made sure that we had everything we needed. We were only there two nights but wish we could have stayed longer.

This little piece of Palmer is just heaven on Earth!! Bungalow was very nice and so clean!!The view from our window was literally picture perfect. A lovely serene place to come “home” to after long days of hiking and exploring. Yvonne was a gracious host and checked on us many times. We ended up here due to a booking issue with another VRBO owner and Yvonne came to our rescue by offering us a stay at her beautiful property. I would highly recommend staying here and would love to return one day if we’re lucky enough to visit Alaska again.

I was only in town for a couple of days to attend a wedding, but this cottage was fantastic!! It was very comfortable, clean, and private. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Palmer!

Cute Cabin in the Woods

Our stay here was great. Hosts were very responsive and helpful and the cabin was easy to find and beautiful. Place contained everything we needed for a simple retreat and was close to other Alaskan activities.

Amazing little spot not too far from home. You feel away from the city but not middle of nowhere. Beautiful cabin everything you need for a getaway.

Very charming property. Extremely clean. Well stocked kitchen for cooking for two. Great directions. Secluded and quiet location but with easy access to town and hiking options. Laundry was great. Would definitely recommend for a quiet getaway.

Amazingly Cute

This property is just the right size in just the right location. The owners we great and flexible. The price was amazing and the local attractions were all with a short distance.
