A super property, with friendly helpful hosts. The property is really well equipped with everything we needed and more. The pool and grounds were great, the whole family; children, elderly and our dogs enjoyed their stay - would highly recommend!

Great place and one of the best welcome packs we’ve ever had. The pool was wonderful and the gite very well equipped. We’d go again. The hosts were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Great Family Holiday At Moulin Latour

The property had all the facilities needed for a fantastic family holiday including a great pool and spacious grounds.It is also an ideal base for exploring the beautiful towns and villages of the area.Hosts Brendan and Damien could not have been more helpful. We will certainly return in the future.Highly recommended

Stayed for a week in July with the family of 5 adults and 3 children aged 6 to 60 and 2 dogs.Everything was wonderful. The gardens are much, much bigger than it looks on the photos which was perfect for the dogs and games of hide and seek. I even saw a deer in the far part of the garden on the first day. You can walk through the gardens, jump a little stream and be at the playing fields in a few minutes, then carry on into the village avoiding much of the main road. The village has everything you need in walking distance : bakery, shop, café, restaurants, post office, castle ruins to visit. But the house is far enough away to have complete tranquility. It's really a rare find to feel so in the country while having everything you need a short walk away.The pool is amazing. Just the right size for us and fully gated. It's cleaned daily.The house is large and had everything we needed for the week. There are plenty of books and games to keep the children entertained. There was even English tv.The hosts are adorable. On hand for anything you need but very discrete despite living next door.The Dordogne is a lovely area and there is much to visit within a 30 minute drive : castles, boat rides, small villages, grottes, marketdms, prehistoric village. Too much for just a week.Thank you, we will be back!

Absolutely fantastic

We had a wonderful fortnight in this beautiful house. There is absolutely nothing you could need which the brilliant owners have not thought of and provided. The owners are on hand but absolutely not intrusive. It is spotlessly clean, the beds are incredibly comfortable (with proper pillows) and the pool is one of the best we have had. It is an easy walk to the village, which is very pretty and also friendly, with a great market. All in all I would thoroughly recommend this house to anyone. A huge thank you to Brendan and Damien for their hospitality. Book it - you won't regret it!

We had a really lovely family holiday week here. The house is very comfortable and spacious, and stayed pretty cool in very hot weather. It’s a good combination of beautiful old Stone farmhouse but with modern beds, bathrooms, kitchen equipment, etcetera. The swimming pool is great, really clean and big! In fact everything is better than it looked in the photo, with the extra bonus of being a few minutes walk into the village with a bakery, restaurants and little supermarket plus boules and mini golf!. Brendan was welcoming and flexible around dates which was helpful for us. There are masses of things to do nearby for families and grown ups. Finally I have to mention the amazing bird and other wildlife in the big garden and fields, made it rather magical!

Lovely Dordogne holiday

The house is lovely and comfortable, but what is particularly wonderful about this property is its extensive grounds amply equipped.We loved eating outdoors in the evenings especially. Everything about the property is really well thought out with owners nearby (but unobtrusive)for any problems. We had a problem with a fridge freezer not working and it was changed the same day, very impressive! We really liked the nearby village which is very pretty and meets day to day need. Lots to do locally too and lovely part of France. We plan to return!

Perfect

Better than expected. So spacious accommodation with large beautiful grounds to roam in and pool. Short stroll to the village and the boulangerie. Small market on a Monday. 15 minute drive to Trémolat where you can take the train to Bergerac or Sarlat. 15 mins to Limeuil and the Dordogne river. Property has everything you need for a self catering. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Just very peaceful and relaxing. Can't think of anything lacking. The perfect place to enjoy the Périgord Noir

Lovely holiday house

Had a fantastic stay at The Mill with my family. The house was lovely, had good sized bedrooms and was very clean. One bedroom/ bathroom is annexed to the main house overlooking the garden and has it's own separate access. Perfect for those who want space away from the main house! Outside there was plenty of space for the kids to run around in, sun loungers and a fantastic big, clean pool. The owners Brendan and Damian were lovely and happy to help with any questions re. the local area. The village is a short walk away with 2 lovely bakeries where you can get fresh pastries and bread in the morning. The Mill is also situated in a great place for sightseeing the nearby caves, villages, markets, rivers etc. Overall i would highly recommend this house for a holiday!

A great week in France

This house is superb, fully equipped and suitable for all ages. The outdoor kitchen during the summer months is an great addition. Presented clean and tidy. Spacious rooms, beds are large and comfortable. A beautiful setting with plentiful outdoor space. Outdoor toys provided. The village is a short walk away either via the road or a short woodland walk. A plentiful kitchen equipment and crockery, glasses etc. inc sharp knives. The pool being immaculate. The hospitality of the hosts who gave us lots of recommendations and the excellent market on a Monday, gorgeous bustling little village with two great restaurants and a great pizzeria nearby (Tremolat). Be sure to treat yourself to a visit to Dix. A great location with several local nearby villages to visit. Bergerac is a 30 min car ride away. A great base to explore a beautiful area of France

A lovely mill and grounds

Our family party of 6 adults enjoyed a great week staying in this converted mill in July. The hosts, Damian, and Brendon, live in the next-door house and were very helpful in offering advice about the property and the local area. The mill and grounds are spacious, with plenty of choice of places to sit and relax or eat, depending on whether you are looking for shade or sun, and incredibly well-equipped. The double bedroom on the ground floor has its own kitchenette, which was great for morning tea in bed, undisturbed by the rest of the household. We all enjoyed the pool of course! There was plenty of room to store our own bikes under cover and the hosts provided a few of their own (with helmets) for guests to use for short journeys. We appreciated the proximity of Saint-Alvere with its Tuesday market, boulangeries and grocery, and enjoyed drinks at the bar and restaurant. The village can be reached in a few minutes walk across fields, if you are happy to take a big step across a stream, or via the road if not. There is a well-kept tennis court en route, which can be booked at the village tabac. Further afield, the Dordogne River and its attractions are within easy reach by car. We hope to return one day!

Tranquillity and beauty in Bergerac region

A lovely 2 week stay in this stunning part of mid-southern France! 30 mins drive from Bergerac Airport with 1 hour flight time via London City (which we had to use for a brief return to the UK mid stay); 6 hours drive from Paris; 2 hours drive to Bordeaux or 8 to Calais for a UK tunnel crossing. Gite came fully equipped with all we needed as a multi generational family of 6. Village of Sainte-Alvère is 10 mins walk - 5 if you are fit! There you will find a bar/tabac, Pharmacy, 2 boulangeries, a post office a decent size general store plus 2 very good restaurants. We tried/used all of these amenities throughout the stay and highly recommend all for their purpose! 20 mins drive to the market town of Le Bugue with 3 major supermarkets, many bars, restaurants, banks, tabac's, Post Office etc so all you need if not in the local village - even 'Duck Gym' which considering it is located in a rural area was very well equipped and well priced at €20 per week to use without restriction. We loved the gite, the area & the region - Brandan was helpful and on hand as our host. Thoroughly recommend this accommodation. 6 acres of garden space so plenty of space to kick a rugby / football around, play badminton, petanque or anything you wish as it affords personal space for all too. Pool decent size and kept clean twice a day by the hosts. One warning, it is rural, and as an old mill it is surrounded by streams (some are clogged so lots of night time 'midgy' activity so bring mozzy spray!

Super séjour en famille

Nous avons passé le week-end ma famille et moi dans ce superbe gîte tres bien équipé. Le cadre est très calme et très agréable. Le gîte est très spacieux. Il y a même une piscine extérieure pour les jours d'été. De plus, les propriétaires sont d'une extrême gentillesse et toujours prêt à rendre service. Un grand merci à eux pour leur accueil. Nous serions ravis d'y retourner pour 1 futur séjour.

Wonderful week

The property was full of character. Brendan and Damian had put a lot of thought into providing the little things that make a difference. They were on hand when you needed them and were friendly and full of useful advice and tips. The property was very clean and had everything you needed for a home away from home. We will definitely go again so we can better appreciate all the region has to offer. It seems to have been a very successful first season for them!

Het is een prima locatie het is het hoe compleet de bungelow was .de mensen zijn super gastvrij en zeer vriendelijk. De bedden waren super eb heel netjes. Het was ook heel schoon Hier kan je verblijven zonder dat je iets Mee hoeft te nemen Alles aanwezig. Super fijn gehad
