Beautiful home with a great view and all the amenities we needed. Worked well for our small grandchildren also. And I loved the hot tub! The mile long gravel road was well maintained and not too far from Highlands and all the waterfalls we wanted to explore. Renata was immediately responsive if I had questions, love that! I highly recommend this home.

This house had everything we needed and more! The kitchen was well stocked and the listing was very accurate. The view was beautiful, though we did not enjoy it as much since we requested help finding the pillows for the outdoor furniture and received no response. Overall, a great place though!

Jewel of the Woods is a beautiful mountain home that includes everything you will need for your stay. My granddaughter was married that weeked at Satolah Creek Farm just a few miles from Jewel of the Woods. It's spacious so you are not on top of one another. My great grandsons enjoyed the bunk room with TV and the ping pong table. Of course, gorgeious view of the mountains. Would love to go back and stay a week. And Renata was prompt in answering all questions. If you are looking for a beautiful, quiet, relaxing place, Jewel of the Woods is for you! Susan D.

Extremely well stocked home with fantastic views. Very clean and well maintained. Easy check in and check out process. Definitely recommend anyone looking for a secluded getaway

The property and home are beautiful. The road leading up threw us off due to the “vrbo not welcome” signs posted along the way.

Wonderful views & accommodations

Nice rental, lots of space for the 6 of us. The deck especially provided plenty of awesome views, lots of laughs and good paper plate lunches.

Great Property For a Relaxing Getaway!

We had a great time at Jewel Of The Woods. The home was clean, comfy and a short drive to the Highlands. The owner has the property stocked with pretty much everything you could ever need, which was fantastic. We will definitely stay again on our next trip to the area!

Beautiful, clean cabin, great communication with host, close to Highlands with great shops and restaurants. Convenient to hiking trails and waterfalls in the area. The road back to the house is very narrow with some rough spots, so take your time! Disregard the signs that say “turn around “ and “not welcome.” We felt very welcome, and will definitely consider coming back in the future.

Great stay in, mountain hideaway!

We love this property. It is our second year back and we are already planning for a 3rd! Plenty of space for everyone, more amenities and improvements since our stay last year. Will keep coming back as long as we are able!

It’s a haul getting up to the property but very worth it! We enjoyed the home so much and our kids (age 11 months to 8 years old) had the best time running around and playing. We really appreciated the baby gate! The bunk bed room was the kids favorite. The house is WELL stocked - the kitchen has everything you need and more, and there are plenty of towels. Also, having so many bathrooms was so nice. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would go back! Glen Falls is only 25 minutes away, and worth the drive/hike!

Wonderful Stay - Loved the Porch & View

My family and parents had a wonderful stay at Jewel of the Woods. We spent most of our time just visiting and relaxing on the peaceful deck. The mountain air and views was refreshing. The home is clean, very spacious, and had everything we needed.

Great cabin rental

This cabin was beautiful. The views were amazing! The cabin was super clean and very well stocked. One of the best rental properties we've stayed at in a long time. Lots of room for families. The host and property manager were so great. Very quick to respond. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great house and great host

Beautiful location in the mountains of GA near the NC line. Well stocked house and we even found a gift basket waiting for us. Host was very responsive to every request we made.

Close to Highlands!

The house is incredibly equipped with everything you need. The grounds and views are beautiful. We enjoyed to close proximity to Highlands and Cashiers, just a short drive to the NC border.

Kids enjoyed picking the last few blueberries. At least one smoke detector missing in a bedroom. At least one tap not working in a sink. Thermostat message said humidity level was too high. Several lights did not work. No carbon monoxide detector in fireplace room.NO SEAT CUSHIONS OR GAS GRILL ON THE DECK! This severely impacted our ability to enjoy it. Owner repeatedly told us these items WERE there. Then noticed previous reviews indicated the outdoor cushions had been missing from at least the previous April! Owner conceded that her staff had thrown out the grill; apparently they have little communication. She arranged to have a new grill delivered halfway into our trip; by that time we had made trips to purchase charcoal and Traeger pellets to use. The deck lacked comfortable seating for meals, so we carried a table and 4 chairs from the front porch to the back deck with the view, then brought (too high) kitchen stools out. The whole deck situation was awkward & VERY disappointing. Deck with view was the main feature for renting this property.Items not in place...took 2 days of searching multiple closets to find much needed baby gate as it was not where owner said it was. Lack of maintenance. Sliding glass door to deck was a MAJOR PAIN that took two hands & all body weight to open and close each use. Screen doors didn't stay closed so plagued by flies. Hot tub NOT maintained--ICK.Switchback roads vomiting kids. Tough trip overall.

Highlands Wedding Weekend Retreat

Well pleased with overall condition of property. House is very spacious and has an excellent open floorplan to promote group gathering on main floor, yet provides privacy for individuals/couples on the second and lower floors. If "life in the country" is what you want, the "Jewel of the Woods" will not disappoint.
