Chimmi House is a second floor, waterfront 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom suite. Incredible waterfront views of all the watersports action and sunsets year-round!

Chimmi House features teak floors, tile bathrooms, carpeted bedrooms and a full modern award-winning kitchen with an s-bend granite cocktail bar. The living room features waterfront views, leather furniture, a flat screen smart TV and cable. Space to entertain includes a dining room table with seating for 6 and bar seating for 4. The waterfront primary bedroom has a private full bathroom, walk-in tile shower and walk-in closet. The second bedroom features a king bed while the third has a queen bed. Each bedroom has a flat screen smart TV with cable. The shared full bath has a bathtub shower combo. The living area and primary bedroom provide access to the west facing deck with waterfront views. The bedrooms provide access to a water view balcony.

Guests of Watermen's Retreat get kite launching and landing access at REAL Watersports and 10% off at the REAL Watersports Rental Shop.

Additional amenities include Wi-Fi internet access, Tesla & EV charging station, an in-suite washer and dryer, base level secure gear storage, covered parking, an elevator and quick access to REAL Watersports and Watermen's Bar & Grill. All Watermen's Retreat properties include bed linens, made beds upon arrival, bathroom towels, drip style coffee maker, coffee filters, salt & pepper, dishwasher soap tabs, dish soap, sponge and kitchen towels.

Our three-bedroom waterfront suites are named after two iconic kiteboarding locations in Cape Hatteras: Chimmi House and SDA.

Beautiful! It was the perfect location for our family trip!

We couldn't have asked for more! There were 6 of us and everyone was comfortable and felt like they were in a luxury suite. The view from the deck was incredible and we loved watching the kite boarding! The furnishings and beds were very comfortable and we liked having the restaurant and music next door! The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed the layout. We highly recommend the property and will hopefully be back soon!

Heck Yeah! Awesome property.

Spacious, clean, modern, new. Would highly recommend. Sunsets & watching all the kite boarders in the sound off the deck was phenomenal. Lots of good restaurants close & Watermen’s grill on property was fabulous.

Exactly what we needed.

The property was exactly as described...AMAZING! We enjoyed the quiet setting when needed, but also ran down the stairs to enjoy live music and fun times during the sunsets. There is no better place to enjoy sunsets than Watermen's Retreat (The Slick).

Great place to relax!

Great place to go and relax! Facility is very accommodating for families! Great views and comfortable rooms! Quiet time at 10pm makes it easy to rest for your next days adventure! Waterman's B&G serves some of the best food on OBX. We at a sit down meal every night! You can also bring it back to your place if desired. They have storage for your outdoor gear on property, which was great so not to track all the sand back to your room. Outdoor shower facility to remove all the sand also! I would recommend this place to all my family and friends!

Nice condo

Pros: nice modern condo. Living room, master bedroom, and master bath spacious. Nice flooring, modern granite, and appliances. The gentleman that checked us in was very nice and knowledgeable of the area. Cons: Donna the property manager doesn’t answer your questions. When she does reply it’s about 24 hrs later and she answers incorrectly. Check in stops at 6pm. There is no insulation between floors so you hear every foot step from the floor above you. The pictures on the website isn’t what you’re getting. This isn’t one person renting their condo. The whole building is for rent so you don’t know which view or condo you’re getting. Our first 2 nights were a view of a road not a beach front view. When I pointed out the pictures from the vrbo website the gentleman moved us to a water front view. It’s advertised as a 3 bedroom but, it’s really a 2 bedroom and a very small office with no closet. No pool. Very few sit down restaurants in this area. No groceries stores so make sure you pick up food and drinks before you get there.

Great View!

Beautiful Room, Restaurant next door loved the food and Coffee! Definitely recommend this place. Rodanthe Beach is close and watching the wind surfers was great!

Wow I was blown away

Watermen's Retreat was so much nicer than I would have ever expected. everything from the teak floor to the custom sinks and counter tops were really sick. I just came here to do some kiteboarding and have a good time, but now I am planning a trip back with my whole family. These are really high end accommodations for a great price. The facility at REAL is REALly amazing!

Thank you Waterman’s Retreat

Thank you Waterman’s Retreat. My wife and I spent 5 amazing nights this past October. I was very impressed from the design and the decoration of the units. I have to admit that I actually took some ideas which I can apply in for my own house. The views and the sunsets from your balcony ware amazing. I also want to compliment Steve the chef in the restaurant downstairs and the very professional management of this beautiful building.
