Entire Bear Den (cozy cabin) close to Glacier

Bear Den (cabin) is located in Essex, MT halfway between East and West Glacier. It's a great place to rest and fuel up for your adventures either in the park or in the Great Bear Wilderness.
Absolutely no pets.
There are hiking maps available too.
The cabin has everything you need for your stay, we do provide towels, shampoo, conditioner. The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances.
The outside pictures will be posted in spring.
Please note there is no cell service from West Glacier to East Glacier and most of the park too.

Very enjoyable stay in this cabin. Kitchen was well equipped for anything you need for cooking. Coffee and tea, as well as a good selection of spices were provided. Outside propane BBQ grill was nice to have available. Very convenient location for access to the Apgar west entrance or the Two Medicine lake east entrance to the park. We would definitely stay at the Bear Den again if we come back to Glacier!

Clean and cute cabin with all that you need. Accurate description. I shld’ve done better research using this as base for Glacier as it is FAR from many glacier and st mary which is where I spent most of my time. Easy to communicate with owners and very nice cabin.

Cute cabin!

Easy access to the West and East entrances was perfect! Cabin was as described, a little older but comfortable and quaint! Would definitely recommend and loved the bear motif!!

Little cabin in the woods. .

Enjoyed this cabin for just the 2 of us. Perfect size, cozy, warm and inviting. Love the bear motif! Great location between West & East Glacier. Owner very accommodating.

Quiet little cabin

Cute cabin. It was just what we needed for our stay. They had maps and recommendations for hikes and things to do and places to eat in a book. Even had bear spray so we didn’t have to buy any.

Great Place

The house was in a great location for visiting both the west and east sides of Glacier National Park. The house had everything that we needed. Highly recommend and look forward to visiting again.

Cute cabin

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin! We were thankful for the air conditioner and had a lovely evening grilling burgers and sipping wine by the fire pit. It was nicely placed about halfway between West and East Glacier.

Nice little cabin in the woods!

Very comfortable and nicely appointed cabin in the woods. Bed was very comfy! Furniture was great. Stayed 3 nights and cooked all meals. Kitchen and grill were great! Close enough to Glacier. Only two wall heaters. Took a little to get used to.

A Hidden Gem

This place was great! Location is perfect for exploring both sides of the park. Varv Ara is an amazing host- she went above and beyond for us and replied very quickly during out stay. Would not hesitate to stay here again (or at another one of of her properties). Highly recommended! We miss it already…

The right fit

This property was a perfect fit for what I was looking for. The location is halfway between west glacier and east glacier so I could visit both sides of the park. The property has a cozy up-north cabin feel to it but with all the creature comforts needed.

Comfy Cabin

Nice property with a relaxing feel. Spacious for the two of us. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable bed. Quiet, wooded neighborhood. Able to use wi-fi . We enjoyed our time at the Bear Den.

Mid Point location for Glacier NP

We had a comfortable stay. The kitchen is very well equipped with new pots, pans, and cutlery. There is traffic noise from Hwy 2. It is not bad when the windows are closed.
