Beach Towels


Yes. Your stay includes free towels, which you can use at the pools or to take to the local beaches. However, you will be assessed a $35 fee by the resort if you do not return the towels to the room.

Kauia Beach Resort's policy is to ensure a comfortable and pest-free environment for all our guests. As part of this commitment, we do not provide microwaves in ANY units. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

NO RESORT FEES


Guests renting directly from the resort or through retail travel sites pay a hefty DAILY resort fee in addition to a MUCH higher rental rate!. There is no daily resort fee with us!!!!; however, if you book directly from the hotel, they will charge an average of $250 daily rate for same kind of room plus daily resort fee.

Good location but OK property

We stayed for four days and enjoyed a bit. Location of the property is good and close to a major highway and attractions and is just 10-12 minutes from the Lihue airport. No microwave in the property due to regulations. OK for the price and they have nice swimming pools and hot tub also. Parking is 40/day which is pricey!

Relaxing Getaway

The room was exactly as described and was well stocked. The use of the resort amenities was an added plus. The location is very nice and makes travel to the north and to the south and west very easy. The accommodations exceeded our expectations and we will be back!

Overall great place to stay

This property is in a great location as long as you do not want to stay within walking distance off resort restaurants and stores. It is an older resort that is being renovated small sections at a time. Pools are great but lacking in chairs and loungers. We had a great stay and the main negative marks are that the front desk was not aware of our reservation and it took forever to check in.

Beautiful, Clean and Great Location!

I have absolutely no complaints about my stay! The hotel was spotless and the staff were incredibly friendly. The room itself was also very clean and I loved that the balcony overlooked the pool. I enjoyed that I could walk up to the beach lawn to watch the sunrise in the mornings and also the free yoga :) location was ideal for getting to travel to all parts of the island as well. Definitely recommend!

Great place to stay

We had a great time at this VRBO. Room was very comfortable and clean. No issues with checking in. The only minor issue was that parking lot was small and no available stalls, especially at night.

Best Spot in Lihue

If you're looking for the perfect place to stay in Lihue at an affordable price - look no further. This place has it all and is incredible neat, organized, and has Jaimini's personal Hawaiian flair added to it. Thank you for a wonderful saty Jaimini.

Great 5 night stay

This place was in a great location, at at great rate. It was perfectly as described. Room was nice, maybe nicer than the rooms offered through the resort directly. No resort fee was nice. Of course, we didn’t get new towels every day, or our sheets changed like you would get with a traditional booking, but the host was a quick message away if needed. Luckily we didn’t need anything, and the items provided were sufficient.

Location: perfect/unit - not clean

Sheet we’re dirty, shower had hair in it. Property manager was difficult to reach and when I did she seemed bothered and defended that it was clean. I definitely saw hairs in both places that were not from us. Location is magnificent.

Was a Great Trip!!

Yes, the property could use some updating, but what property doesn't if it's not brand new... we have two very minor complaints.. 1. we could have used a microwave in the room.. 2. we did not understand that we were a "private" property, so when we needed more coffee and toilet paper, were told to call our private housekeeper.... When she showed up at the door, she seemed very perturbed that we couldn't get our own?? But other than that.. we had a Terrific Time!! and can't wait to go back!!

Beautiful Property!

My overall stay was pretty amazing, the property is gorgeous and well kept. The pools are fantastic and beach access is very easy. The only qualm was since this was listed through VRBO and my unit was "private" the hotel doesn't have much say or much information to give you. Check in isn't until 4pm and I had been camping for 4 days on the island prior so I was desperate for a shower. I called the number for the hotel and it was a call center that was unhelpful. So i went to the front desk and they just kept saying "you're unit is private" okay...what does that mean. So i contacted the host and he instructed me to ask the hotel....so just be prepared for that. But the property and the room were very nice and I enjoyed my stay.

Tired with a nice view

The location of the room in the hotel is good with a nice view. The unit needs to be refreshed and made more comfortable for renters. The furniture is old and worn out, nothing like the other rooms in this hotel. The mattress is old, soft, bath linens are marginal, no utensils, only one glass, old coffee pods and huge fridge (that is unnecessary) no microwave. The bathroom has only one small hook to hang towels which do not dry out. Missing drain cover in bathroom vanity sink, artwork missing but hooks remain. It seems that there has been no effort to upgrade this unit so that guest do not feel they are in a old, tired space. Be aware that the location of the hotel is a bit isolated, totally car dependent if you want to go shopping or dine out. The beach is not swimmable.

Nice enough for the price

The property is beautiful, the staff is friendly and the amenities are nice.However, there are some areas that need to be addressed in my opinion.For the room itself, which is privately owned and maintained separately from the rest of the resort, it needs some changes in order to keep it comparable to the rest of the property.1- the mattress is uncomfortable, even with the topper that is placed on it. We travel a lot and have slept on many hotel beds. This mattress feels very cheap and not appropriate for adults to use. Might be ok for kids.2- There is not daily or even every other day housekeeping service. This is not a big deal, but there should certainly be more towels than 4 bath towels for two adults to use over the course of 9 days. I was told we would have 6, but there were only 4. 3- two rolls of toilet paper for 9 days is not enough either. Please consider leaving at least 4 because you never know and guest should never have to be concerned about toilet paper.4- we appreciated that there was an umbrella for the beach, but a couple of beach chairs would be nice to have available as well.Property issues:1- the roomDoors are extremely heavy and slam closed. This causes a lot of noise in the hallways. 2- walls are thin- we could hear conversations, coughing, children yelling and crying.3- parking is expensive! 40 a night is a lot when there really is not an option to NOT have a car on this island and with this location. Nothing is walkable.

Nice room, excellent resort, great location

This is our second time at this resort but our first time in this unit. The room was comfortable and clean. Beautiful view of the pool and small ocean view. Loved the full size fridge. This resort is fantastic! The location is perfect for heading north toward Princeville or south and west into Poipu and Waimea. The resort amenities are excellent. If you arrive before 4:30pm on a Friday, they have a Hawaiian show by the pool that’s a free mini luau. We will definitely stay here again!
