Relaxing retreat within miles from various activities

Relax after an adventurous day either at Nolin River State Park (17 miles), Blue Holler (18 miles), Mammoth Cave (6 miles), or any of the locations within a short traveling distances.
The main level offers the open floor plan living room, fully equipped kitchen, and dining area. You can relax outside on the deck to the sounds of nature and surrounding peace. Main level includes one queen size bedroom, one full bedroom,
and a full bathroom. Upstairs includes 2 twin beds, 1 full, and 2 futons. Downstairs includes one king size bedroom with sitting area and fireplace and bathroom with shower. You can also end your day with shakes from the included shake machine or around the fire pit. Great place to make memories!!

*Paper towels: 2 will be provided
*Toilet paper: 2 extra rolls will be provided in each. bathroom
*Dishwasher tablets: 2 tablets will be provided
*Trash bags: 2 extra trash bags will be provided
*Laundry detergent: Pods will be provided for 2 loads
*Bag Chairs: there is only enough seating for 4 around the fire pit
*Cooking Spices: Some spices are provided, but you may have a preference
*Charcoal & Lighter Fluid, if you would like to use the grill.

*Set thermostat at 62 degrees during winter & 71 degrees during summer upon leaving
*Place all dirty linens from upstairs and main level outside bathroom door. Place all dirty linens downstairs in front of washer
*Place all dirty dishes in dishwasher and start upon leaving
*Remove all garbage from house and place in trash cans located by the pavilion
*LOCK ALL DOORS AND WINDOWS

we enjoyed the location for its quiet country setting. all amenities were just as listed. only down side for my group was the age of our group. stairs were not our friend. However that being said we loved the porch and the quiet location. the ability to gather around the large kitchen table and dine was awesome. I would reccommend this and i think we would book again knowing what we need to expect with the stairs

Conklin/Taconi/Steel Sibling Reunion

We held our annual sibling reunion at the home and it worked out great for us. property We as a family like to hang out and sing karaoke so sitting outside on the patio and singing was perfect for us. The neighbors were a good distance from us so hopefully we didn’t aggravate anyone with our bad singing. The home could use some TLC but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Nice location and roomy house for a large group

We were able to house all of our family for 2 nights comfortable (13 people—5 couples, 2 kids, and our adult son. The other 5 days we had a few less people but had plenty of room. The beds are comfortable and the house had everything we needed. Being a half-an-hour from Mammoth Cave was a bonus and worth two trips to take 2 tours. Plus being up the road from Dollar General and having a grocery store only a few miles away was very convenient and helpful. The house is very private and the large yard is great for activities. The only issue we had was when we went for a walk down the road. The neighbor’s dogs didn’t seem too friendly. However, we just turned around and went there other way. Thank you for the use of the house!

Great place!

This was one of our absolute favorite vacations! The house is absolutely beautiful, we all fit comfortably! The yard and porch were so beautiful we got to spend a lot of time just relaxing and it was wonderful! Would definitely go back if we go back that way!

Great Stay

We, as a group of 13, stayed over for two nights at this beautiful location. The house is good, with remark that the second bathroom might need some improvement. The garden is great, with a nice firepit to enjoy the stars and a drink in the evening!! Thanks for the wonderful time Fam Okker

Great Place to Relax

We had a wonderful stay here. The house was very clean and just as lovely as what was pictured. Our questions were answered immediately. We loved being to spread out, the abilty to have relaxed family time while visiting the area attractions. We would stay here again and encourage others to stay here.

Perfect for a long weekend need to get away

This house was great for our group of 11. The land was perfect for our kids to play outside. Older kids were able to set up their tent outside and “camp”. Short drive to mammoth caves. It was well stocked with all the kitchen needs and spices. We loved the large dining table that allowed us to sit together and play games and do puzzles. We left our puzzle there for the next group. Check in and out were easy. We will definitely recommend here for our family and friends interested in visiting the caves. Thank you!

Perfect getaway!!!

The property was amazing. Just what we were looking for. The teenage boys had their own private area adults loved the kitchen and the porches!!! The kids explored the area. I can’t say enough great things about the house!!! We will definitely stay again!! Fabulous host. The best experience at a VBRO!! 4 adults, two 14 yo boys, 7 yo girl and a 3 yo boy. Something for everyone. We all hade our space, yet we had cozy family time. Don’t miss this place it’s a true gem!!!

Great stay

We have a large group of six adults and kids ranging from 16 to 1 1/2. The house was clean and exactly as described. The kids had a lot of fun playing football and catch in the huge front yard. We were very close to Mammoth Cave which made it convenient. I would definitely recommend this house to others.

Clean, quiet and comfortable

The cotragee was clean, quiet and comfortable. It slept 9 comfortably and was 30 minutes from Mamoth Cave. The nearby town had a Subway and Godfather's Pizza. Delta was very helpful when I had questions.

Brownsville House

Enjoyed the stay at this property. Very clean. Easy drive to Mammoth Cave. Quite setting, very relaxing. Stairs are a bit steep, but manageable. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Very relaxing!

Everything about the owner was great--her responses were quick, very friendly, and helpful with info about things to do. The house was very clean and everything worked. Several things in the cabinets came in handy (I forgot cooking oil, and needed a few tablespoons of flour, and wonderfully, it was there for us to use!). Lots of pillows, bath towels and kitchen linens. Washers and dryers (yes there are two sets) the ones on the lower level are HUGE! Another bonus. The property has a very large yard. We were not bothered by bugs in or out. We had five kids, ages from 6 to 14, and 3 couples. All the kids had their own bed; we thought that just two bathrooms might be a problem, but they're both full baths, so it was no problem. This was a great experience, and we rent places 2-3 times a year. Great stay!

Host and Property are awesome

Communication with the host was superb. She responded to texts quickly and was very helpful. The house was so clean and did have enough room for 15! We had 2 toddlers but the others were full grown. We played the games that were provided, roasted s’mores over a fire, and grilled out. The local area guide that was provided was what we used to plan our entire week. T-Mobile cell service was great and the local area is so much fun. Had a great stay and would definitely book again!

Absolutely wonderful spot

We had an incredible time at this house. Owner was very thoughtful and thorough in communication. Kitchen is well equipped. We were very comfortable and felt very relaxed over the 2 days. Very close to Mammoth cave and would recommend this VRBO for families traveling to the national Park

Great family getaway near

Overall experience was great. Check-in and out were easy. House, property, and amenities as pictured and described. It is a country house, surrounded by farm land, plenty of privacy and quiet except for the rare passing car and outdoorsy sounds. Kids stayed plenty entertained outside chasing the lizards, insects, and other backyard exploring. Wildlife was plentiful, 3 AM owl visit to the porch and hearing the turkey approach and make an appearance at the rear of the property in the early morning was awesome. Close (30 min) to the NP and other vacation activities. Brownsville is pretty small and we were glad we brought our groceries with us. The local Cee Bee grocery had the couple items we forgot, but don't expect many brand options. Mosquitos were thick near dusk and overnight, citronella candles on the porch would be something I would bring for next time. Milkshake maker was nice surprise, but I wish we could have found the scoop. Charcoal grill was marginal, lid handle was rotted away, and the grate could use a good degrease. I used it daily, so functional but could use some TLC. We would definitely stay again.
