Come to our cozy cottage that is a 5 minute drive from the bay. We have a little yard and a grill for making fish. Crisfield is an amazing crabbing town that has a lot of heritage. Clean property. The ownr is lovely. Only complaint is the age of the mattresses. All three beds had ancient and uncomfortable mattresses. This is an experience we've had at other VRBO properties. I'll probably take a vacation from VRBO

Could use some fixing here and there which was addressed to owner and handicap accessibility would be great, like a ramp from outside into sunroom entrance. Was very quiet and relaxing, overall had a wonderful stay

Had an amazing weekend with family in Crisfield. This house was so close to everywhere we needed to be. Check in was amazing and Crystal was so accommodating allowing us to check in several hours early. The house had plenty of space for the four of us and everything we needed to be comfortable.

First time trying this style rental and I’m absolutely happy with the decision. The host was very accommodating and available to answer questions I had plenty of local information on hand to do things very family-friendly fun.

Perfection!

We stayed in this lovely cottage while visiting family in Crisfield. The location is perfect, plenty of room with 3 separate bedrooms, a comfortable living room, and full access kitchen, washer/dryer and 1 bathroom. It was perfect. The owner, Crystal, is an amazing host. She is very responsive, helpful, accommodating, and encourages any feedback. Highly recommend! We will definitely be back. Thank you Crystal!

A Woodsy cottage

This cottage is situated in a wooded area, so lots of birds to see and hear. It's a little shabby, and we had a problem with roaches, which the owner is addressing. The cottage also smelled strongly of a dog. Its not far from the main area of Crisfield, but mostly everything in town was closed. We arrived on Sunday, so that's not unusual. But on Monday it was still a ghost town..

Quiet, nice and quiet

The house at the end of a sleepy street was roomy and allowed us to stretch out and enjoy the quiet close to some rather excellent restaurants. A perfect place to simply get away for a few days.

Beach/lake property

Table was not clean and we saw one roach. And one of the beds was useless as it couldn’t hold even a person that weighed 100 pounds it just sunk to center.But it was quiet and cute and served our purpose. And it was just a nice get away.

Our stay at the Cottage near the Bay was fantastic and exactly what my family needed. The host went above and beyond to communicate with us and make our stay excellent. The cottage was very clean, cozy, and a welcome escape. When we come back to Crisfield we won't be staying anywhere else, as long as it isn't already booked!

No response is a response

I reached out to the property owner after our stay to bring some things to her attention and provided her with 18 pictures to support my concerns and honest feedback regarding our stay. As I said in my text -the cottage has a lot of potential but needs some love and upgrades. I have yet to receive a response. Perhaps the truth hurts, but things needed to be brought to her attention. The images on VRBO did not match what is currently in the house as some furniture has been changed out. The side porch entrance where you access the house was not stable as the wood on the landing was soft depending on where you stepped. One wrong move and we may have gone through it. Dust, cobwebs and dog hair were everywhere, as well as ants. We were left with half a toilet paper roll, a used bar of soap still in the shower and what seemed to be a catch all basket of left behind used toiletries including used toothpaste and contact lens solution. Luckily we brought our own toiletries, but again nothing like the picture. I told the owner that her cleaning lady was doing her dirty. Honestly, it almost seemed as if someone was living in it with their dog and got out for the weekend that we rented. Give the house some love, a visit from an exterminator and some much needed updates it deserves it and has a lot of potential. Until then, I would not bring small children to this residence as my 2 year old was almost bit by a huge spider which were very common in the house. Best of luck!

Sleeping Hideaway

Nothing special - equal to value charged. The best reason to stay here is its extremely quiet neighborhood, but easy to get to and from off main road. It was perfect location to get to every place we wanted to visit within an hour drive. Salisbury, Chincoteague Island and Crisfield were our planned excursions. Plenty of beautiful nature to see. Good restaurants at all our visiting spots and Food Lion was close by. The house drip coffee machine did not work, ants inside the kitchen were a real pain, and there was no toilet to start with after a long drive. I would still recommend this quiet little house to small families or just a couple.
