Tiny casita in beautiful Uvalde, 20 minutes from Frio River

This little casita is located in the beautiful town of Uvalde Texas. Lots of eats near by and unique downtown shops.
So. I’m gonna be really honest here.. We bought our home with this little casita in the back yard in July of 2021. We did a fixer upper on the inside of the main house where we currently live. We have done some work in the backyard but it’s definitely not finished and still rough around the edges. We gave the casita a fresh coat of paint inside and replaced the bathroom floor. We do not have television. We DO have WiFi. We have many dreams for both the backyard and casita but at this point do not have the funds to continue.. we will update as we can!
We have a friendly golden retriever (Paz) that will probably be around during your stay but she sleeps inside our house at night. You will also see our kitty (Zeus) during your stay as well. You will have access to a fire pit and a bbq wood grill.
The casita is clean and neat but nothing fancy. The “kitchen” has a two burner stove, a mini fridge and a sink. A queen sized bed and a small bathroom. You can park in our driveway and enter the casita through the gate into the back yard.
My husband is self employed at ARP automotive and I am a stay at home mom to our baby girl.. We will keep to ourselves as much as possible.. We would love to host you!

Great place for the money

We would recommend this place for a quick overnight stay that won’t cost you an arm and a leg. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet and we felt safe.

Had an absolutely lovely time! Our trip was just two nights and this cute place fit perfectly for our needs! Paz (their doggo) was the best greeter at the backyard gate every time we came back to the casita and the human hosts were very sweet and attentive. We didn’t have any issues and overall it made our trip relaxing. Thanks! _

Family reunion

Location and convenience of rental process made this trip enjoyable and worry free. The unit was just as described and worked well for our stay in Uvalde.

Perfect for my trip.

I was in town for a work continuing education. I needed a small, clean, safe place to stay for 2 days. The apartment was perfect. It was within a mile of my class site. It was clean, easy to find and safe. The host was very quick to respond to any questions or needs that I had. I will definitely recommend this host to other and will reach out to them again if I need a place to stay in that area in the future.

The little casita was clean and had everything i needed- bed, bath, kitchen sink. The only thing that concerned me was the latch on the gate was coming apart and I was worried about the dog getting out. Also, I could not get the lock on the door to work, but the one on the handle did. Overall, it was fine for my needs

Very clean. Struggle for mobility issues, the gate. A dog, very friendly; big. Again with my mobility issues. Great air conditioning. I didn’t stay. Needed to work really late. Didn’t want to disturb family in house. And kayak maps has the address totally wrong.
