Cozy Winter Getaway or the perfect Lakeside Vacation with all the features of a home. Fully stocked kitchen, dining room with farmhouse table, living room with couch and loveseat and streaming capable TV. 3 bedrooms and a full bath. Walkout basement with large rec room, full bath, and bunkhouse bedroom. Laundry available. Homes has wi-fi and central air.
Lake front is a sandy beach. Included multiple kayaks, aluminum fishing boat, and a paddle boat. Shaded outdoor patio with charcoal grill.
Just minutes from Hastings MI. Many popular locally owned eateries, and pubs. In the summer there are weekly free outdoor concerts, farmers markets. River canoeing is available on the Thornapple River.

perfect beach area and yard for games with the kids. Sitting area was a favorite , well shaded for my red heads and view of the lake. quiet lake overall but school had started this week. also has great neighbors and communication with the owners . Plenty of parking for 3 vehicles and a trailer. Great space for my family before we went back to school.

The house is so nice. There were lots of games to play and stuff for the lake. We had and issue with the faucet in the bathroom and the owner came the same day to fix it.

This property is just like the pictures— nicely furnished, beautiful views, and very clean. It’s located in a scenic farmland area and only 40 minutes to Grand Rapids, which we found handy. We spent a lot of time out on the back patio and by the lake, as well as cooking meals in the well-stocked kitchen. We would definitely stay again.

Great stay!

I wish we had had more time, the stay there was amazing! The property was very clean and the property manager was very quick with responses. Would definitely stay again!

Our daughter was married this last Saturday at wild wood farms. The cottage was charming and clean!! We love the lake and the beach toys/ watercraft. Would rent this house again!!

Wedding trip

We traveled back to my hometown from North Carolina for a family wedding. The cottage has great views and plenty of room if you need it.

I'm sorry your stay was only 4 stars. When you rented you reserved it for 2 people, but you must have had a larger group as all 7 beds were used. We were not expecting such a large group as that was told to us before your stay.

The cute cottage was tastefully decorated with a beautiful view of the lake to wake up to. The cottage is quite roomy and the kitchen does have a lot of items to use.However, the master bedroom could use some room darkening shades for sleeping, and some kind of shelves or a dresser to set medications and personal items as their is no room in the bathroom either. The neighbor to the east of the cottage is hostile/toxic about anyone driving close to his drive way or touching his property line, even to retrieve a ball the kids were playing with. The filthy chickens that came around, and even up to the door begging for food were very off-putting. The earwigs, spiders and crickets in the basement were a nuisance. There must be something with the seal on the basement door, as we could see day light around it, possibly letting the bugs in. The patio furnitureis plentiful, however, some pieces are rusted with broken rings and the cushions are stained. There is a lot of boat traffic on the lake, not just on the weekends. The boats left for our usage need some maintenance and upkeep. The chain on the old paddle boat kept coming off. The aluminum boat leaked and the trolling motor left to use with the boat did not have any nuts to tighten it on to the boat. When we contacted the owner he stated we could just duct tape it onto the boat. Just not what we were expecting after reading the other reviews.

I am so sorry to hear that your experience didn't match that of other reviewers. This property is our personal cottage so we are always striving to make it a home away from home for everyone who stays there! We spray for pests several times over the summer months and have never seen stray chickens at the lake. I apologize that you had to deal with these pests during your stay. The lake is popular during summer months so boat traffic is unavoidable; however, we will take a closer look at our "fleet" to ensure everything is in working order. The patio furniture was new in 2025 - we left the old set out to provide additional seating for guests. I will be sure to remove the broken chair asap. Thank you for your other suggestions to make the lake house a desirable summer rental! We will be sure to consider these ideas for next year's season.

Serenity at swan lake

We had a wonderful time and loved waking up to the lake views and enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the evenings. Enjoyed watching the swans very much. Recommend highly!

Family Vacation Fun

We really enjoyed this property. It was exactly as described. The kitchen was well stocked and the coffee bar is a nice touch. The beds were comfortable. It is nicely located so there were plenty of options for excursions. Would absolutely return!

Great Lake views!!

We spent Memorial Day Weekend at the cottage! Everything was clean and worked great. We had beautiful weather and spent most of our time outside by the beach or fire pit. We would definitely stay here again!!

What a great place!

I am part of a group of amazing women that met in a bereavement group 25 yrs ago. This year we stayed at this beautiful home for our annual get away. It was wonderful to have a clean comfortable beautiful space to recomnect! We will be back next year for sure!

Perfect Getaway

Extremely clean and spacious while inviting. The property owners were responsive to questions and very accommodating. The lake is perfect for swimming, fishing and boating. Could not ask for a better experience.
