Beautiful Highlands cabin! 8 min to town-Pet friendly-lots of outdoor space

Little Pine House is a beautiful 1950 cabin located in a private neighborhood called Flat Mountain Estates. It is in a cul de sac neighborhood, so there’s no thru traffic. It’s great for walking with mountain views at the top, and Ranger Falls and Cliffside hiking trails are just around the corner. The home is a beautifully updated one level ranch home with lots of its original charm. It is on a nicely landscaped flat lot with lots of privacy and outdoor space. Great for pets and relaxing, and the outdoor porch with wood burning fireplace is always a favorite spot. There is plenty of parking for 4 or more cars, and we are located near the front of our neighborhood, so it is very easy access with no steep hills. Less than 10 minutes from downtown Highlands, and 20 to Cashiers. The adorable town of Clayton is close by too. Oak Steakhouse is just 4 minutes away down Flat Mountain rd in the Skyline Lodge. We love everything about this spot, and sincerely think you will too!

Peaceful Cabin House

With a busy wedding weekend schedule, it was nice to come back to the cute and peaceful cabin home to relax. While it was in a neighborhood, we had the feeling we were in a secluded area as we sat out in the screened-in porch in front of the fireplace. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

Loved the house and location. Nice walks and hikes right out the front door. The hosts thought of everything. All of the light switches and kitchen things were labelled so it was very easy to find things. Fully stocked coffee bar was an added bonus. Sat outside in the hammock several times. Communicate was prompt and helpful. 10/10

Mountains with my Valentine

Relaxing stay!

Very cozy house making it easy to relax and unwind. Although the weather was mostly wet and rainy the house was so comfortable and inviting with the fireplace on porch and the games in the cabinet. We caught up on some Christmas movies and enjoyed cooking a nice meal in the well equipped kitchen.

Great mountain retreat

We loved this adorable mountain cottage. It had everything that you could want. Very well decorated and private. The owners did a great job having all the extra touches for our stay. We lived on the screened in porch enjoying the fires. We will return!

Excellent Cabin In Highlands

The Little Pine Cabin was perfect in every way. It is in a wonderful location; easy drive only a short distance from downtown Highlands. Prior to our stay the hosts were in touch on more than one occasion with suggestions for restaurants and places of interest. We couldn't have asked for better communication from them. The cabin has every amenity with a special coffee bar, fully stocked, along with a welcome bottle of wine. It was a special experience with all that this home offered. We will definitely return. Many thanks to our host for making this visit memorable!

Quaint Cottage close to Highlands

The cottage is very clean and well appointed. Owners supplied just about everything you need for a nice weekend getaway with friends. Really appreciated the fully stocked coffee bar, lots of firewood to burn and cleanliness of house. We will definitely rent again.

Peaceful Getaway

My wife and I love Highlands and the surrounding area. By the end of August, we have had all the summer heat we can stand. This cabin was the medicine we needed! It is beautiful, well appointed, not too far from town. The weather was perfect. A couple of days of soft rain made the screened in patio feel like a piece of heaven. We'll be back!

Best Mtn house we’ve been to

Close to DT Highlands, this house is great. The owners definitely extend themselves to make sure you have a great time. Wonderful house with 3 bedrooms. Spacious and great indoor/outdoor patio area with fireplace. We will be back! Great spot.

Get away from it all without being too far from town!

This mountain home is the perfect place to unplug. We lived on the screened porch enjoying movies and a fire - we enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen and found the beds comfortable. The decor is beautiful and the home is very well kept. The neighborhood and quiet and peaceful, but stores and restaurants are a quick drive away. There is a hiking trail right near the home. We'd definitely return!

Gathering of friends

This cabin was a fabulous rental. It is in a beautiful neighborhood that is walkable and very quiet. The cabin was so comfortable and the screened porch with the fireplace was extremely relaxing. The attention to details of what you would need was superb. The kitchen had everything you could need. The beverage station was a plus. Would highly recommend this cabin.

Peaceful

Nice place, up the mountain, surrounded by quiet and green. Enjoyed the porch in the morning and evening and the outside wood fireplace with a full stack of wood and large screen TV, even a small drink cooler. Inside the gas fireplace and large screen TV was great. Had a fantastic coffee bar and everything you might need in the kitchen.

Excellent Mountain Cottage!

My husband and I loved our stay here. It's located in a very nice and quiet neighborhood that is super convenient to Oak Steakhouse, downtown Highlands, and hiking trails. The house is super comfortable, well-appointed, and laid out perfectly for traveling couples or a family. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. The back porch is INCREDIBLE for hanging out and the fireplace is killer. We really enjoyed walking the neighborhood. Hosts were excellent as well. Will definitely stay again!

Perfect weekend getaway

Absolutely loved the property. Check-in was simple and the cabin was spotless. Favorite location is the back deck with a roaring fire, grilling and chillin to some golf o TV. Kitchen had everything we needed and the bedrooms and living areas were perfect. Short drive to Oak for cocktails or into Highlands for shopping. Although we didn't go, very convenient to Cashiers as well. Would stay here again and recommend to our friends.

Magical Getaway!

Hard to know where to start! We had the BEST time here for a quick little family getaway after Thanksgiving. Our kids loved the hammocks and outdoor fire pit area. The house is well equipped with everything you might need. So many thoughtful little touches throughout the house that show how much the owners care about your stay! I'm so sad to leave! We will definitely come back.
