Enjoy perfect sunsets and ocean/coastal views at Kona Bali Kai 322 from the large private lanai on the ocean. Let the sounds of ocean waves to lull you to sleep. So beautiful you'll hardly want to leave the condo, but there are too many amazing things to do in the nearby vicinity and the Big Island as a whole. Our place has something to offer everyone!

My wife and I fell in love with Big Island and Kona on our honeymoon and have been coming yearly ever since. We have stayed at numerous hotels and vacation rentals on the Big Island, so we were very excited to get a chance to own a place at the lovely Kona Bali Kai Condo. Perfect location for any interest.

Our condo has been updated in 2022 with modern split unit wall mount AC units in each room – unique for Kona Bali Kai. Each room has large powerful ceiling fans. Large TV in living room. Comfy Cal-King bed in primary with firm memory foam mattress (Casper). Streaming TV in the guest room to stream all your favorite services. In unit washer/dryer. Well-appointed kitchen, awesome to have a kitchen when staying on the island – cook some amazing meals and enjoy on Lanai or prepare some great picnics for the days adventure.

Start your day with walks/runs on world famous Alli drive or just sit on the lanai and watch the ocean waves comes in. If lucky you'll spot some whales (in season) or dolphins, and you'll definitely spot a Honu (sea turtle). Located about 2 miles to Kona town and all the restaurants/stores in one direction, and beaches and beach parks in the other (Banyans surf spot, Pahoehoe Beach Park, Magic Sands Beach ). There is a nice town shuttle (Kona Trolley) that runs along Ali'i Dr which will is great to take around town. And loads of bike, e bike, snorkel, surf rental shops along Ali'i drive.

Kona Bali Kai is an excellent condo with private gated pool, oceanfront grassy area to picnic/lounge, oceanfront BBQ area, covered parking, the famous Poke Shack restaurant on site (a must due – get there early).

We welcome you to come share a bit or our paradise and join our 'ohana.

Minimum night varies seasonally 4 -10 nights. Property is non-ADA compliant, non-smoking, no pets allowed. Unit is listed for sale.

Kona stay

The room was amazing. Quite complex, which was nice. There is a ourdoor church next to the property which has ourdoor services and Sunday with music. I wasn't expecting that. We were up and ready to go, so the music did not both us. I understand the traffic can get backed up a bit at the 4 way stop after church. There was a sheriff to direct traffic. It was not a problem for us. Would definitely stay again.

Great views of the ocean

Great views of the ocean, whale watching, sunsets. The condesation drain pump for the air conditioners cut on and off a lot. First night it did all night long. Traffic noise is loud. You can get locked out on the lanai if you arent careful. Overall, very clean and

Balcony with a spectacular view!

We could have just sat on the balcony our whole stay! Beautiful view of the ocean and sunsets! Bed was very comfortable. Very clean.

Lovely place to stay in Kona

The apartment was well furnished and had amazing views. We spotted eels, turtle in the reef right in front of the apartment. Heartfelt Mahalo to David for arranging our trips and create a memorable vacation. Very prompt customer support as well.

Lovely unit

The unit is lovely with great views. Super clean and exactly as advertised. The property manager is extremely helpful and supportive, even helping with sending back some laundry left in the dryer. My ONLY feedback that’s less than 5 stars is that the overall property is old and extremely run down in places. There is one elevator not close to the unit so we had to carry suitcases up and down stairs. The pool area is not very enticing and the whole property is in need of a refresh. If you’re able to overlook these things the unit is lovely and the sunsets are amazing. It’s right on the ocean.and air conditioned. Super comfortable. The unit could use some BASIC things like salt and pepper and things that the average person needs but doesn’t want to have to buy at the grocery store for a few days or a weeks vacation. Easily could be 5 stars across the board…just a tiny bit short. We had a great time!

Beautiful view!

The condo was clean and had everything we needed (beach towels, coolers, kitchen supplies, teapot, coffee maker, etc). The view was STUNNING, even better than we thought. We did not see any pests and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The condo was nicely done and very comfortable. The building was worn in the underground parking was a little difficult because the spaces were very close together. However, it was nice to have underground parking.

First trip to Hawaii

Kona Bali Kai delivered exactly as hoped. The view is incredible, Da Poke Shack is on site. Enjoy Hawaii by day and a prime view of the Pacific from the lanai at your pleasure. The walk to the Kona market center on Ali'i is a little busy but it is flat and has designated pedestrian/bike lanes on both sides. We loved it!

Amazing view

The unit was exactly as described and pictured. Had plenty of the basic necessities and was well furnished. We would stay here again. We rented a total of 3 units all from different hosts. Our unit was the only one that didn't provide extras like pool noodles, beach chairs, beach umbrella, snorkels, etc. Since the other rooms had it, it wasn't a big deal, but that addition would make this unit perfect. The small cooler provided was a big help and plenty of ice cube trays to make ice for our day trips. No issues at all with appliances and the fans and air units worked great.

Beautiful view!!!

The view is phenomenal! We saw whales almost everyday from our lanai. The unit was a little small for three adults but we still enjoyed it. Very convenient location as well.

What a View!

Beautifully appointed property with a wonderful balcony overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Parking was a breeze and access to Kona make this place a favorite for return visits. Mahalo!

Fabulous view

Really enjoyed the sunsets every evening. Saw sea turtle in the water near shore. Comfy bed, quiet and convenient location. Some of the glass in the lanai sliding doors is fogged which detracts from the view but nevertheless we enjoyed our stay here!

Outstanding view

I took my brother here for his 40th (2 years late because of COVID) and we had a blast. It was his first time in Hawaii, on any tropical Island actually, and this was the perfect spot. The ocean view and the sound of the waves made the experience. The condo had all of the amenities we could need to dine in or make some drinks but we were also close to downtown. Da Poke Shack is world renowned and when the place is open everyone in town wants to be there. There were even a couple of surf contests that we could watch from our balcony. This was a fantastic vacation and I'm sure we'll be back.

Excellent view - Location, location, location...

Excellent place for being by the ocean/waves, dinner on the lanai. All facilities support the by-the -ocean vibe. If you like the waves, you will love this place. Everything else is very good but the waves are excellent. You will never regret coming here.

Great location and View

This Condo has the perfect view for nightly sunsets and ocean views. Wonderful stays with a great location close to town for restaurants and shops. Having a pool was a nice way to close out the days in the sun.

Waves, sunsets and water access

A short drive from the kona airport. What an amazing view walking into the condo. We say many birds. Tide pools out front have many fish for the kids we even saw turtles from the balcony... AND a random rooster!! In the same complex as da poke shack. The space is layed out well. 14 in the bedroom. 9 on the couch ( which was very comfy). The sliders off the living room and master open to the amazing view. Kitchen had everything we needed. We only made breakfast. Not ideal for walking anywhere really. But close to the downtown kona with a car. We would definitely stay again. Ony thing we DIDN'T LIKE.. The sliders are old. And have lots of fog in the glass that CANNOT be cleaned. I hope they replace the sliders asap. It definitely hindered the amazing view. The pool in the community was...meh.... Definitely recommend it for the price!
