Modern sustainable operated villas with gorgeous view on hills and nature.
Located in Hermosa/Santiago Hills, Santa Teresa. Surrounded by plants and wildlife, peacefully looking at Costa Rica´s green and lush valleys.
We love nature and all it´s inhabitants! All our villas are built and run exclusively on solar power, have a rainwater collection system and take the permaculture as example for landscaping and gardening.
This is what "Pura Vida" means to us!
The space
Located on an ample property named Mar Verde, our three individual villas are the perfect get away for real Costa Rica nature fans. All our villas offer light-flooded spaces, peace & calm, amazing views on an undulating landscape, and great chances to see plenty of wildlife close to the house as well as a maximum of privacy.
Our Villa Tucán sleeps maximum two people. Perfect get-away for couples, honeymooners - super private!
The bedroom with king size bed and fan connects to an en suite bathroom which completely opens up towards the jungle. With its rain shower and unique garden views this creates the ultimate being-inside-the-jungle-feeling. Not to forget special features like toilet with integrated bidet and water temperature display indication on faucets.
The open living and kitchen area have a completely open-able glass front for stunning views on a great scenery. Like this guests can enjoy the magical view even during cooking sessions.
The living counts with a dinner table and a low bar with chairs around the kitchen counter. From living to ample terrace its just a few steps. Comfortable beanbags and chill-out furniture await for simply taking in the view or for a daily "siesta" by the private infinity pool.
All interior lights and fans are completely remote controlled. Guests can connect over a smart system operated by Android or iPhone to save energies and resources. We specially took care not to cause unnecessary light pollution around the building to respect the local fauna as much as we can.

After coming to Costa Rica for almost 10 years, my dream of owning a property here finally came true! Proud to be able to offer my villas to all kinds of travelers and practice and share my biggest hobby - wildlife photography!
Por qué eligió esta propiedad
Our MarVerde villas were designed by the swiss architect Marc Loosli with the idea to integrate the materials glass and metal naturally into the Costa Rican ambiance. The location and direction of the villas was chosen to embed them perfectly in their environment.
Future project is a big permaculture garden with fruits and veggies for our guests. In general all planting and landscaping is elaborated to feed and attract wild animals like howler or white faced monkeys, different birds like toucans, humming birds or macaws.
