Nestled between two connected lakes, this cozy cabin offers endless outdoor fun— hot tub for unwinding after a day of exploring numerous nearby trails.

Listen to the loons calling at dusk, paddle down the scenic channel, or relax around the quiet fire pit under the stars. With high-speed Wi-Fi, you can stay connected while working remotely from your nature retreat.

Inside, you’ll find a rustic-modern cabin featuring a small but functional bathroom with hot water, new shower, vanity, and toilet. Bedrooms are separated by curtains for a cozy, open-concept layout, and the living area is warm, inviting, and perfectly set up for your getaway.

Situated on 1.5 peaceful acres with friendly neighbors nearby, The Channel Cabin offers a balance of privacy and community. Whether you’re kayaking, riding ORVs, or soaking in the hot tub, you’ll experience the best of Michigan’s outdoors right outside your door.

The bathroom is compact but fully equipped (hot water, vanity, new shower, toilet).

Bedrooms are divided by curtains; the bathroom has a door for privacy.

The path to the channel can be soft—bring sandals or boots.

Cozy cabin with spacious property! The cabin was just right for my partner and I, with gorgeous trails for our mountain dog to explore! The hot tub was perfect for the chilly weekend.

Thanksgiving family getaway

Girls Weekend

We really enjoyed our stay! We went out kayak fishing every day, loved using the hot tub, and just relaxed. It was really quiet and peaceful there. We did all our cooking there and the kitchen was pretty well stocked. The space was perfect for my friend and I. We would recommend this little cabin , and can’t wait to return!

Peaceful

This was a clean, peaceful place to stay. This was our “home away from home” for 3 nights. The perfect retreat after a day of hiking and riding the ORV through the trails. The landscape is pretty and full of nature with the sunset peeking through the trees as you soak in the hot tub! We really enjoyed our stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy, cute cabin for a last-minute father-daughter getaway. We spent most of our time out on the lakes fishing and paddleboarding. It was fantastic that the cabin was pet friendly. The area was peaceful overall. There were a few neighboring dogs that would bark during the day, and occasionally some loose dogs around the neighborhood. Our dog is a little reactive, so we were a bit concerned about unexpected encounters, but thankfully we never had any issues during our stay.The walk down to the water is beautiful, but be prepared for a bit of a hike. The trail is uneven in places and can be a little swampy, which wasn’t a problem for us, but it did make carrying kayaks down to the water a bit challenging. A few boards were broken and felt a little sketchy to cross while carrying kayaks. Once you get to the water, it’s absolutely worth it. Lots of wildlife around the area and had a beaver swim past our kayaks. The channel is gorgeous and incredibly peaceful to paddle through. We had a great time fishing and caught plenty of smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, and northern pike throughout our trip.

Incredibly Peaceful Setting

We had a wonderful week at the Channel Cabin. We went out almost every day on the kayaks and enjoyed all that nature had to offer on the lakes. After a day of paddling the hot tub was such a lovely treat! On our rainy day we pulled the couch trundle into a bed and snuggled in for a relaxing movie day. We received kind and attentive communication from the host when we reached out with a question.

Perfect Getaway

We spent 3 nights in this cozy cabin. If you need to get away for a while, this is the place for you. Perfect couple's getaway. AND, we could bring our dog.When we checked in, the host immediately asked if we needed anything and to contact him if we did.When we had one issue ( our fault, couldn't figure how to heat up the hot tub), Mike promptly texted us to solve it. It is very clean, comfy bed, all the basics provided. We definitely recommend it.

Awesome Getaway!

My husband and I stayed at this little cabin for a long weekend with our dog. We had a great time! The house is cozy and comfortable and we found it to be as described by the host. The hot tub is very nice and we also used the fire pit and grill. We absolutely loved the use of the kayaks, the channel and two lakes! We watched the sunset over the lake from the kayaks which was beautiful. Bring bug spray and expect to get a touch muddy but it is totally worth it! There is a nearby grocery store and hiking trails. We had an awesome trip!

Not really as advertised

Definitely NOT waterfront. The area around this property is unkept, the other 'houses' are run down, and there is junk in many of the yards. This was advertised as waterfront, but there is zero water view unless you walk down a long path, part of which is walking on RR ties, to get to a channel. There are no doors on the bedrooms, only curtains that don't come close to the floor, so you don't get any privacy. The host was very responsive and the hot tub was nice.

As clearly stated in our listing "Property has frontage on a channel that leads to two small lakes. The water is not viewable from the cabin but it is a short walk down a trail to the channel." We have also stated in the listing that the bedrooms are separated by curtains. I would suggest that you read over a listing better before you book another stay at a rental property.

The property was very nice and clean. Having the Kayaks available was a great perk. You will have to make a bit of a drive (about a half hour) to get to a grocery store, so you might consider taking care of that before you arrive. Overall, it was a great stay.

My Husband And myself needed a mid-week getaway, the Cabin on the channel was perfect for us, it was only about 30 mins from our home, so we took our side by side. There are trails for ORV riding everywhere. The Cabin was very easy to check into and was clean and inviting upon entry. We took A couple kayaks out the first evening after grilling dinner. The sunset was gorgeous over the lake to the right. We never made it to the lake on the other side of the channel, due to rain and we were only there for 2 days. We did not let the rain ruin a good time, we played a game while it stormed and then jumped into the hot tub for the evening when the storm let up, the lighting around the hot tub was nice. I caught 16 huge bluegills in the morning. The path to the channel was very wet and spongy so definitely bring sandals that can be sprayed off or boots. We appreciated the keurig and keurig cups provided, we did bring a 2-gallon jug of water for drinking and making our coffee and I am glad we did. Things I thought would make a great addition to the kitchen are a wine opener (we brought our own), but I noticed they did not have one, also the knifes need sharpening. We did not clean our fish there, as I didn't want to stink up the cabin, a little fish cleaning station outdoors would be a great addition. We would and will definitely stay again. Thank you for a great, relaxing couple of days!
