Experience the peace and serenity of days-gone-by when you stay in this spacious, completely renovated four-square farmhouse located in a quiet dairy farming neighborhood, five miles east of Cumberland and ten miles west of Rice Lake. This home is perfect for family gatherings, crafting get-togethers or relaxing vacations. Enjoy watching the bird activity in the massive oak trees as you sip your morning coffee on the beautiful front porch. Both children and adults will enjoy outdoor activities in the massive back yard, surrounded by crops in the field and cows in the pasture. In the winter try cross-country skiing or snowshoeing through the fields and woods.

You will enjoy preparing meals in the spacious modern country kitchen with large center island. Relax in the large open living room with its media center, then sleep peacefully when you retire to the large bedrooms with their comfortable queen beds.

Beautiful clear water lakes are plentiful within a few miles of the farm for boating, fishing, and swimming. Explore unique shopping & entertainment experiences in picturesque Cumberland, Rice Lake and other nearby towns. Just a short drive will take you to tourist attractions in Hayward, or to St. Croix Casino in Turtle Lake. Fabulous location, beautiful house and wonderful host!

We rented this for our in-laws to stay at for our daughters wedding. The house is beyond beautiful! It is so warm and welcoming. The views from all the rooms make you relax instantly. We will definitely rent this again when we are in town.

Cozy farmhouse

The minute we walked into the Farmhouse, we felt at home. It was so cozy and comfortable. We had everything we needed. Our host, Diane was very responsive and welcoming. We'll stay again!

Time Away

The house was perfect for a relaxing time for catching up with friends. The house was clean, comfortable, and we'll taken care of. Our host met us at check-in and made sure we had everything we needed. We'd love to go back.

Farmhouse Retreat

We enjoyed this beautiful farm house. Clean, well kept property. It felt just like walking into your home, warm and cozy. The kitchen had everything I could think of in order to cook meals. Quite surrounding and a occasional thump of a falling acorn. We could see all the stars at night. Contact with the property manager was timely and friendly. They were accommodating to us as the day of check-out our car battery died. We'll definitely stay here again

Comfy Farm House Retreat

Lovely farmhouse. VERY comfortable. There are 4 bedrooms, all with queen beds (3 upstairs). 2 bath rooms, 1 up stairs, 1 down stairs. Large kitchen with all the pots and dishes you would need. There is also an island in the kitchen which is where we tended to eat. There is also a dining room and very large living room. The only thing you need to know is that you should bring some water for drinking as the well MAYBE not the best. Never an issye for us. Overall a wonderful house and location. We would stay there again if we need to be in the area!

EXCELLENT

The only reason this got five stars is because there isn't anything higher! My family members who stayed here absolutely loved it. They raved about how nice it was, and how much they enjoyed the historical information displayed around the house. The pictures do not do the place full justice, everything is even nicer than it looks online. Thanks, Diane and Richard!

Annual College Friend Reunion

The history of this home in a peaceful rural setting made for a lovely place to spend the weekend. It was the perfect place for a girlfriend gathering. Kitchen was great to make meals in. Bedrooms were comfortable and we enjoyed visiting on the porch.

Perfect place for family

We met family in Rice Lake for an 80th birthday celebration and the farmhouse was the perfect place for us to spend time together when we weren’t in town. The farmhouse is updated but also brought back memories from my grandparents century farm. Loved the horseshoes! And the kids enjoyed having the WiFi. Diane is a great host and very responsive.

Farmhouse stay

Wonderful experience. House was immaculate, great beds. Lots of yard and outdoor games for children. Morning coffee on the beautiful porch with gorgeous views and birds chirping. Doesn’t get any better than this! Just made check-in very simple, so accommodating.

Annual Father's Day Get-Away

We loved the peace and quiet of rural Wisconsin! The house was perfect and roomy for us 6 adults. We had everything we needed and our greeting from the owner was great! Diane was very helpful!

Work Trip

The house was great. Beds were comfortable and the showers had great water pressure. We were there for work so that is all we needed but it’s a great place to stay for any reason.

Best Farmhouse Stay

This house is cute, comfortable and very clean. It’s an older farmhouse that has been updated. Diane has everything there one would need, like spices and all kinds of bake and cook ware. The water is great tasting, good water pressure and comfortable beds. The wireless internet is good. Relaxing to watch the cattle across the road. Not far off the highway, but is quiet. We stayed an extended stay due to our house fire, and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We absolutely love this place!

Peaceful & Relaxing!

We had a great stay here! The house was immaculate, very comfortable beds and equipped with everything you need and then some! It felt like home the moment we walked it. There's a grocery store that's close by and we had great pizza from Nezzy's. We wished we could have stayed longer, it was so peaceful and relaxing. The host was easy to work with and reach. Thanks for a great stay!

Great relaxing location

We really enjoyed our short stay. It was very relaxing. We definitely enjoyed hanging out on the porch and watching the cows and the little red squirrels. The location is perfect. It's so centrally located to a lot of fun activities.

This farm has been in my family since 1891 when my grandparents purchased the land from the Knapp-Stout Lumber Company. They cleared the land, built the farm, raised their family, and it has been the center of family activity since those days. In 2008 my husband and I completely renovated the house, inside and out, and it has since continued to provide the perfect gathering place for family and friends. We now would like to share this special place with you with the hope that you will enjoy your time in this special place as much as our family.
