Perfect Vermont setting for a nice, clean home near Montpelier. We heard owls and loons on Curtis Pond. We will be returning to visit family again

We had a wonderful time. The house was exactly as advertised. One of our favorite parts was the breathtaking view of the foliage to and from the house when going on day trips around Vermont. We had plenty of space in the house for our family of 6. The stairs were a little bit steep for my parents so they stayed in the room downstairs, and my husband and I and our 2 young kids stayed in the spacious bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook multiple meals per day at home, and we used the charcoal grill as well a couple of times. The bathroom was updated and spacious. We loved how you could walk over to the pond from the house. Overall our stay was everything we hoped it would be and more. The host, Mark, got back to us quickly whenever we had questions. We definitely plan on coming back to Vermont!

Overall the house was a great fit with our needs. The location was perfect and the main areas of the house functioned well for us - especially the beautiful kitchen and dining room. We were a bit surprised that the outdoor gathering spots (screen porch and fire pit) were not kept up well (with heavy cobwebs and furniture in disrepair). It would have been nice to use these spaces also. Otherwise, all was good.

Very charming, clean property with easy access to anything Vermont has to offer. Check-in was seamless, and the host had all the amenities planned out to cover our stay. Overall it was a great home, quiet, central to the state, and was perfect for us.

Absolutely gorgeous place in beautiful Calais. Elegant and homey with everything one might need. Woke up or went to bed to the sound of loons and owls and a had a bear sighting! Rejuvenating and wonderful stay- thank you!

Lovely Retreat

Lovely place for a retreat, away from the hustle and bustle, yet still close to attractions. Great kitchen that is well stocked.

An incredible home!

Our family loved our stay at the Calais home. It has extremely clean, had all the amenities you could want, and felt so cozy and homey. Our family includes 2 young children, and we felt this house was perfect for their needs, as well as ours. We hope to stay here next year as well - we loved it so much!

Great property in a quiet location with a well equipped kitchen. The host was responsive to our questions, and was proactive about reaching out when the previous renters let him know about a problem with a stove burner, to see if we needed any help with the same issue.

Peaceful getaway

A quaint cozy lodge! The kitchen had everything I needed to whip up a few meals. Everything was clean and cozy. Definitely go to the whammy bar for dinner if you stay here! Best meals of our whole trip were from the guest chefs.

Peaceful relaxing getaway

We had a really nice time. The property was largely what I expected. Very comfortable and clean. There were a few minor issues, but overall, I'd recommend this property. The location is truly the best thing about it.

Absolutely lovely property!

I've stayed at many VRBO properties and I can honestly say this was one of the most enjoyable. My group was in the area for a ski outing and had a fabulous time here. The photos don't do the house justice; it is super cute, homey, and very well appointed. Additionally, Mark, our host, was super communicative and welcoming. Will definitely stay here again in the future; I can see this being a fabulous area to visit in the fall.

Lovely place to hang out!

This house is ideal to hang out, BBQ, paddle board, swim and relax! Also good as a base for day trips to all the cute towns in the area and the excellent Breweries!! (if you are into the best craft beers in the world). Really like the cottage with excellent kitchen and dining area. Recommended for hikers and mountain biking as well!

Maple Corner Home with all the comforts

Home in Calais short walk down a path to Curtis Pond, well furnished, modern kitchen, new bathroom, clean, comfortable beds. Even a washer and dryer for your longer stays. Close to Montpelier, and many other interesting towns to visit within an hours drive. 10 minute walk to Maple Corner store that has everything you need for your stay.
