Perfect beachfront getaway

This was a beautiful place to stay- right on the beach and walking distance to Manuel Antonio National Park. The staff had great communication and is very accomodating. Our room was clean and had a great view. Bonus- the restaurant on site is delicious. We would definitively stay here again!

Paradise on the Beach

Buena Vista + was a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful location and all the staff was very nice and very helpful with everything! Lots of wildlife right where you are staying! Highly recommend, we will return again someday! Pura Vida 😊 thank you for such a great vacation!

Great place to stay

It was our fist time In Costa Rico and we loved everything about staying here. It was right on the beach and close to the rainforest. We saw sloths on the property and the monkeys came through a couple times during the week. Everyone there was so friendly and the room was very nice.

Absolutely wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay here. Right on the beach as described. Great office staff, Melanie helped us with a great bird tour that I hadn’t found online. Breakfast and Pina Coladas at tiki bar also good. Great deal for the price and highly recommend.

Pura Vida

Our stay at Buena Vista was fantastic. Anna at reception were very helpful in getting us signed up for the Catamaran tour as well as the jungle walk in Manuel Antonio. Marlin - our waitress at the restaurant - was very attentive and made our meals there even more enjoyable. We definitely recommend this hotel.

Rain rain go away

Despite the rain we had a great time. Site can use backup water heater because a week without sun the solar panel heater made for cool showers. Cushions on balcony chairs would be nice. Staff are friendly and very helpful with information and tours. Breakfast was delicious. GREAT LOCATION

Wonderful Accomadations

We arrived early before check in but was greeted warmly and shown around. Before check-in we had instant use of all of the hotels amenities and was set up with an umbrella and beach chairs. Our unit was ready early and we were able to unpack. Ocean front, beautiful views, incredible sunset over the water right outside our room. The staff was great, the restaurant food was excellent, bar & food service on the beach. Because we had an early morning tour, a continental breakfast was provided. Great atmosphere, super clean accomadations, friendly & professional staff. I would definitely stay here again.

The perfect spot

We were so amazed by the property. Pictures online don’t do it justice. We got the best room with a balcony looking out at the beach. We saw perezosas and Titi every morning!! Additionally, the staff was so friendly and welcoming that we never wanted to leave. They really looked after us. We had just a short walk to town and to the Manuel Antonio national park. We met a friendly local family who told us (as all the locals told us) that we were in the best hands at buena vista with Raul. Thank you for an amazing experience! We can’t wait to come back

Perfect

The room was small but efficiently made use of all space. The private balcony was roomy and provided the perfect place to enjoy breakfast every morning and relax in the evening. Lots of wildlife in the trees to observe. The beach was steps away and absolutely breathtaking. We had a vehicle and drove up the hill for other meals and outings but there are plenty of things that were walking distance if you didn't have a car. All staff was extremely helpful and friendly as was everyone we encountered. I would stay here again.

Amazing stay!

It was everything as listed and more! I requested a room with ocean view and it was absolutely stunning! Loved waking up every morning and making a cup of Costa Rican coffee and sitting on the balcony of our room looking out at the view. The free breakfast was delicious, highly recommended getting the 'Pura Vida' option with orange juice! Smoothies were delicious also. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Loved that they provided beach towels and chairs on the beach for free as well. Felt safe while there the entire time. The last morning there we saw two green parrots on the tree directly in front of us while we ate breakfast!

Just perfect!

We loved everything about this place, but especially the friendly and helpful staff and the location!! It really felt more private and way less touristy. We honestly interacted with at least 8-10 different staff members during our five night stay and they ALL were kind, courteous, and so interested in making our stay the best possible experience. We saw monkeys, iguanas, and a sloth right on the property, but none of the wildlife was a nuisance! It only added to the awesome and unique experience! The beach is pristine and the easy and quick access was like a dream! We are already trying to figure out how soon we can return to this hotel! It was just perfect!

Great beach front stay

This property was difficult to find online and I wish there was a website to verify the details and provide more information. Otherwise, the property was great. It is right on Espadilla beach and the staff were very polite, helpful, and friendly. Check in/out and communication was very easy and stress-free. We loved the breakfast and being able to reserve beach chairs through the hotel for no extra cost. The room was very clean and we appreciated the AC. One downside was the lack of places to hang towels or wet clothes. There were no hooks or bars on the walls/doors to hang anything which made it difficult to find a place to put our wet gear from the beach or our shower towels. Overall, we would definitely come back to stay again.

Everything about Buena Vista was perfect. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is perfect on the beach. We were fortunate to have monkeys travelling across the property and macaws landing in a tree near by. (And the resident cat is laid back and adorable). We would definitely stay again.

Honest review

Staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is good. There is a resident cat that comes up onto balcony’s and patios which is fine if you like pets but not great if you’re allergic… Good location on the beach but a little bit too ‘open’ to the public meaning it doesn’t feel ultra safe - the sliding doors onto the patio areas weren’t exactly very secure (large gaps at the bottoms when locked shut) and anyone from the public beach could technically walk straight into the room without being noticed. The rooms were outdated and very damp (you could even smell it in the mattress). This unfortunately doesn’t make the room feel clean and fresh. The humidity in Costa Rica is high, but airing the rooms out between stays and having a dehumidifier set up in the rooms would help massively.Despite the friendly staff and beachfront location it was definitely our least favourite stay in the 3.5 weeks we were in Costa Rica.

Amazing Location, Great Property

Everything about our two night stay was wonderful. The hotel is literally steps to the ocean waves, and it’s so nice to just walk out, jump in and within seconds you can be back to the room. The beach is quite popular with tourists and locals, with various options to get food or drinks. We felt safe 100% of the time. The room itself is basic, but comfortable and clean. It’s not the most luxurious hotel in the world, but it fully meets or exceeds the western standard, which is not always common for the area. Would 100% stay again.

Our favorite place in the world
