A stunning downtown Chico charmer just a block from Bidwell Park. No expense has been spared to keep all the charm of this iconic downtown home that was built in 1912. Bidwell Bijou’s full renovation was completed a few years ago.
Feel like cooking? This home features a gourmet kitchen with commercial range including a pot filler, an under counter wine cooler, and quartz counters. One of the bathrooms has a bidet.

This house has an amazing location. Walk one block to Bidwell Park and Caper Acres or step out to the Farmer's Markets and Downtown restaurants. This immaculate house will impress you and make your Chico visit memorable as you relax in style. Enjoy the yard and quality furnishings. Coffee, tea, water and snacks are provided in your welcome basket. Sit on the porch with your favorite drink.

Winter Interlude

We enjoyed a delightful stay in the Bidwell Bijou in January. It was a welcome “winter interlude” for us with sunshine and temps in the 60s. We enjoyed wonderful walks in lower and upper Bidwell Park, the farmer’s market, the Museum of Northern CA artists — all within walking distance of this beautifully appointed and comfortable property. We’ll be back soon!

A little slice of heaven

My husband and I both went to Chico and decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary there (along with our 3 yr old and 8 month old). The house is adorable, surprisingly big! And the yard (which isn't pictured) is great as well. Perfect location walking distance to everything. Only suggestion is to set up one of the bedrooms with a King bed! We can't wait to go back and visit.

Great spot in Chico, near DT and campus

We were in Chico for a wedding and were lucky to find this gem. Darling house walkable to downtown - interior was well appointed, beds comfy and nice big kitchen. Was a much better alternative than a hotel as we had space to hang out, highly recommend!

Emma is coming home

We were in Chico to pack up my daughter and loved how close the house is to the CSUChico. Very spacious with an outdoor seating area in the back. Annie was there cleaning leaves that had fallen to make sure we could enjoy the back yard which we did with a glass of wine. Very responsive to a few questions we had. Loved the little extras like the snacks and the ice cream coupons. We have three years left to visit the area and will definately stay again.

Craftsman bungalow with good bones

Bidwell Bijou is a beautiful craftsman house remodeled for the modern day. Furnishings are good if a bit spare. Location is fantastic. Those who wish to cook in the “gourmet” kitchen will find it under supplied, but if all you need is a microwave and a coffeemaker, this is a great place. Everything was exceptionally clean, and beds were comfortable.

Fabulous Jewel in Chico

This house is exaclty as advertised in a really nice part of Chico, a block from Bidwell park and centrally located. The house was super clean and has a cute back patio not pictured in the listing. Definitely going to stay here again!

Chico Adventure

Excellent location for birding, shopping, and dining. The home is clean and spacious. The host is also excellent to work with! We enjoyed our stay, and will be back.

Sister week

This property was perfect for what we were looking for. Charming house in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to town. The kitchen is updated and spacious. We even had room to do yoga. Property owner is friendly and easy to get a hold of.

Wedding weekend

We needed a place for our sons wedding weekend. Original booked just Friday snd Saturday but at the last minute decided to try and add Thursday. The host was very quick to respond and was able to accommodate us. We was wonderful. The home was peaceful and thoroughly enjoy our quite time here during the crazy busy wedding weekend. Thank again for a wonderful stay.

Bidwell Bijou

First time in Chico and definitely want to come back. This home is super close to great restaurants best breakfast at Mama’s and cute shops. Beautiful paths to Bidwell park close by and lots of room for a family. Great time!

Excellent choice for a Chico get-away

We stayed at the Bidwell Bijou for a girls’ weekend. It’s a lovely, spacious home with all the amenities one would hope for. The location makes it so easy to walk or run through Bidwell Park and access many of the shops and restaurants in the downtown area. Plus: Easy and friendly communication with owners.

Immaculate Cozy Cottage

This charming house is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood. From the house, we enjoyed walking downtown and through the park. Annie was welcoming and responsive in our communications.

Weekend wedding

Location of the house is great for walking to the old Chico downtown area or the beautiful Bidwell park. Owners responded immediately to a request we had. Very large kitchen and comfortable living room. Would stay here again.

Charming cottage in lovely neighborhood.

The Bidwell Bijou served as the perfect home base for myself and a cadre of co-workers who were teaching at CSU-Chico. It was an easy 15 minute walk to campus through a lovely neighborhood of old homes and tall trees. Our house was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was the perfect place to unwind after work and to plan for the next day. The owner was very responsive. I highly recommend this place!

Annie and Darrin, your hosts, love sharing this unique property with guests who have discriminating taste and a desire to be close to the park and downtown, our two favorite places in Chico. Our perfect day is a walk to the Farmer's Market to get flowers and produce and a walk or picnic in the park.
Annie has been an ESL teacher for many years and an entrepreneur. Darrin is a CPA. When we have free time we love traveling in our RV, visiting our short term rentals, and walking our Black Lab.

This house is very unique because it is over 100 years old but has been lovingly remodeled with lovely fixtures. It is just gorgeous. We fell in love with Bidwell Bijou when we first saw her and imagined many guests appreciating a visit to this house when they come to Chico. We dreamed of living in this house in the future when we retire.
