It is rare to find a place that will accept our 4 dogs without additional cost. They loved swimming in the lake and were exhausted by the end of the day. The cabin was clean and stocked with water and snacks if would have needed them. It was also convenient having a gas grill available to us. Would recommend to friends and family.

Our family enjoyed a truly relaxing week at the Cozy Cabin!! We have older kids who enjoyed the large lakefront, used the retro paddleboat, fished from the dock, and swam off the bay's shared platform. (Just an fyi there is a steep incline with a paver walkway up to the cabin, so renters with little ones or travelers with knee issues would need to be extra cautious. We only had one fall & scrape thankfully.) The word cozy is accurate when it comes to the cabin which has a quaint, nostalgic feel that brought back memories of being a kid going to my grandparent's cabin on the lake (I swear we had the same light above the table! Ha!) It's a small footprint and similar to a larger RV for layout which promotes true family bonding. It worked perfectly for us and we truly appreciated the ability to unplug and unwind. Thank you to our gracious hosts for a fun week full of memories!

Wonderful Little Cabin

We were very pleased with the cabin. It was very clean and the location was amazing. Though we didn't use it, the extra little cabin was really cute. Thanks for the fun stay!

Amazing Vacation

The property is quintessential lake life: beautiful deck for morning coffee and meals, a cozy living space for movie or game night, and a fire pit right on the water for nights by the lake. I could not have asked for a better stay, the host was amazing. We will definitely be back.

Cozy cabin

This was a small cozy cabin with bunk house. The bay is small and super quiet so great for kids and swimming. It has a play deck out in middle of water that is super fun! Cabin had all amenities that was stated. There is a road going down the middle of the property so you couldn’t watch the kids swim from the deck. But overall very nice!

Last ‘23 Summer Vaca

We had an incredible stay at the lake cabin! The serene surroundings provided the perfect escape, and it was so wonderful being allowed to bring our dog with us. My three sons, aged 12 to 17, had an absolute blast - they couldn't get enough of the paddle boat, which added an extra layer of excitement to our days by the water. The cabin itself was spotless and well-equipped with everything we needed, making it easy to settle in. Evenings were a true highlight as we relaxed on the spacious deck, enjoying the fire and beautiful view of the lake. It was the ultimate recipe for unwinding. Communication with the property manager was wonderful. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. Her quick responses and thoughtful check-ins truly made a difference. Overall, our stay at the lake cabin exceeded all expectations. The combination of the comfortable accommodations, engaging activities for the kids, and the peaceful atmosphere made it an unforgettable getaway. We're already looking forward to our next visit! Five stars without a doubt.

Absolutely perfect getaway on the lake with our dogs and our boat!

My husband and I wanted to get away to spend some time on Lake Metigoshe with our 4 dogs and our boat. We have a camper and would normally take that but this time we wanted to travel light - suitcase, dogs, necessities and boat. We are so glad that we did! It was like a relaxing vacation from the moment we pulled up. Huge deck, gorgeous glass crystals propane fire pit with comfortable seating. I brought baby gates with to fence the dogs onto the deck so they wouldn't wander off! (Worked great!) There is a large, new grill that allowed us to make burgers for meals. They provided so much! Bottled water in the fridge, coffee maker, coffee and creamer. Toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, extra blankets, real silverware and dishes, pots and pans, toiletries and the only thing that was missing was salt & pepper. It was perfect! There was Netflix available to watch on the tv, internet wifi was provided, a dock to tie up and keep our boat so we didn't have to take it off the water after use. We will definitely reach out to Kendra next time we want to stay at Lake Metigoshe. Interesting fun fact is that I reached out to her and one other listing on Metigoshe on the same day. Kendra replied with in a few minutes. The other replied days later, while we were already staying on the lake at this cozy cabin! There is a big yard for the dogs to use the restroom. Of course I cleaned up after them! The trail system is nearby so we were was able to get up early and walk the dogs throughout the beautiful neighborhood of lake houses and also onto the trail which allowed us to take them hiking around a rustic camping area, a boat landing and all sorts of new places to sniff! They had a blast as did we! When we were leaving, my husband turned to me and said "we have to come back here again this summer!" Thank you Kendra for your amazing hospitality. It was truly like our home away from home. We hope to see you again really soon! -Christa B.

great little cabin

The cabin was small but it fit our needs. We took our grandkids to the lake for a few days, They had so much fun. The cabin was very clean which means a lot to us. It was kind of hard getting our stuff up all the steps but tht was okay

I have lived at Lake Metigoshe since I was 6. I then went to college to become a teacher. I teach from August- May and this summer I am taking care of this property for my family. My family home is not far from this property if you have any troubles someone will be there quickly to help you out!

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

There is so much to do at the lake. The spot is in a quiet bay and so it is the perfect spot to go swimming or fishing off the dock. If you want to bring a boat we have a dock that you can use. The house may be cozy but outside is beautiful to just relax and decompress from your busy life!
