It was beautiful and amazing. We had a perfect trip. Excellent for large groups and families. Just a heads up, the house is definitely wheelchair friendly but the first step into the house is about 2inchesso i layed down 2 thin pieces of wood i found in the garage. It worked fine. Able to get to the lake but not onto the peer. If you need assistance getting up from the toilet I recommend bringing a set of toilet bars. So nothing major just a few quick fixes you will definitely enjoy this place.

Check in and check out were both great, the property was very clean, kitchen had all the amenities, rooms were very spacious and well decorated. The house was beautiful with breath taking views of the lake and remained cool despite the sweltering heat outside.We had a few questions for our host, Jason, both before and during our stay. He was always immediately available, kind and helpful. We could not have had a more wonderful host. We had a fabulous stay.

Group of guys stayed for a snowmobiling weekend. Clean home and all was as promised by the host. We would stay at this home again.

Best of our Eagle River experiences. Getting off the chain was such a delightful surprise. Carpenter Lake was so serene, great fishing, big enough to tow kids on a tube and perfect for sunset pontoon cruises. The bedrooms were spaced out and so were the bathrooms, lots of different spaces to spread out. Had a great living/eating area where we could all gather for a movie and meals! Best stocked place, garbage bags, paper towels, toilet paper, pots, pans, utensils, towels, and tons of misc stuff you don’t know you need until you need it. Upstairs and downstairs washer and dryer was a treat. Walk down to lake was easy slope and not too far. Great fire pit with firewood stocked, sturdy outdoor chairs. Trees between neighbors so pretty private. Super lake views, lovely deck to sit and enjoy the nature sounds with an awning if it gets too hot. Quick drive to town. Jason could write the book for being a host. Lovely experience, thanks for having us!

Great place to stay!

Our family had a wonderful week at this home. There was plenty of space for everyone and beautiful views of the lake. Beds were super comfortable and we loved the deck in front of the house. We couldn’t have asked for better communication!

Jason’s retreat

The home was well decorated and there was room for everyone. The access to the lake was easy and the equipment provided was great. Jason was wonderful to work with. Fire pit area was very comfortable and fun.

Great Family Vacation

We had 2 bigger families and we all fit in the house great! Plenty of room for everyone. The house had everything we needed. Fishing off the dock was perfect for the kids. They caught a fish almost every cast!

Awesome home & host!

This home has such a beautiful & cozy setting and the layout was perfect for our group. All the beds were super comfortable and great quality. Easy access to snowmobile trails! Loved watching the eagles fly over the lake right above us. Jason was so attentive and helpful both before and during our stay. We will definitely return!

Just as advertised

We had a great stay! Close enough to town for quick trips, but isolated enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. The house was better stocked (paper products, sunscreen and bug spray) than other places that we have rented up north, and we were pleasantly surprised to see that we even had garage access. We had plenty of room for our group of 11, although light sleepers may want to avoid sleeping in the loft. Overall a great experience, and we'd have no reservations about returning!

This is a lovely home in a beautiful setting. Our family has 7 adults and 7 children, and the bedrooms were sufficient. The other rooms are spacious and comfortable for a large group. Things are new and attractive. There is a minimal amount of decor in the cottage and empty drawers in the kitchen, which we liked because it left room for our things. We still had everything we needed or managed with what was there. We appreciated the provided towels (including beach towels), linens, paper towels, tissues, and toilet paper. The lake is down a short and easy slope, which all of us, including those in their 70s, could manage, though there is a steeper incline right by the water. There is enough seating inside and outside for 14. The kids enjoyed the pool table in the lower level, the games, and spent hours in the water, using the swim raft as well as the supplied two kayaks, the paddle board, and canoe. We brought a dingy sailboat and the lake was a great size to sail a small boat with enough wind almost every day. Fishing off the dock was fun. The lot is on the SW shore of the lake, so you get only a glimpse of the sunset in mid-summer and not much sun on the beach or dock at all times of the day. We liked being comfortable in the shade and not having to worry about getting too much sun, but it can be cool even with high 70s temperatures. The owner of the cottage is very helpful.

Unforgettable Family Vacation

this was a great property with a long of space inside and out. Having beds on 3 floors helped to give everyone space. The kitchen was large with a great dining space inside and out that could handle everyone. The outside made the trip with lots of floaties, kayaks and boards for every age. The campfire had clean seating and lots of chairs. There were a few minor issues but Jason was able to quickly help solve the issues. Thanks very much for memorable trip!

the best experience ever

Ill start by saying that I am a very picky person when it comes to my families vacation. We usually only get 1 a year. I literally have not 1 complaint about this cabin. It was gorgeous!. The view is breathtaking. The cabin and the grounds had absolutely everything you will need for your stay. Plenty of available seating for large families inside, on the deck and around the campfire. The kitchen(both of them) are fully stocked with dishes including baby silverware. The beds and comforters are like sleeping on clouds(even had playpen for infants). There are 2 sets of washers and dryers so no need to go home with dirty clothes. They supplied plenty beach towels and swim vests for all sizes. I could go on and on but bottom line is--Me and my family will be booking this cabin again. 5 stars are not enough for this rental. Thank you so much for a great relaxing vacation

More than the description

Our family spent two weeks in July at the lake home. It was all we could have asked for, and more. Our questions for Jason, were promptly answered and check-in and check-out procedures clearly explained. The lake is a great size for retreat: small enough for exploring on kayaks and large enough for motor sports. Everyone on the lake was considerate of the neighborhood — fishing boats kept their noise kennel down and the water skiers went out in the mud-day. The kitchen had pretty much all we needed except some specialty items that we brought along. The beds were comfortable, linens plentiful. Little touches were everywhere but the house felt uncluttered and peaceful. Views of the lake were gorgeous right from the deck and living room, and the house was set back a bit in the woods so not imposing from the lake. The only 4 I gave was for location, only because the house is next to an Inn that at times had noisy groups, but it was not a frequent problem. This really was our dream vacation, and we’re glad we spent it at this beautiful, welcoming place!

This was a perfect spot for out multi-generational family of 13 and one dog! There were plenty of bedrooms for us all. The living area was spacious for our evening get togethers. Everyone enjoyed the lakeside location. The pier was great for fishing and swimming off of. Family members enjoyed the kayaks and paddleboard.
