This cute & cozy house is perfectly situated in the center of Des Moines. Just moments from downtown and within arms reach of West Des Moines. This nook features a 2 bedroom, 1 bath, 523 sq ft layout that has completely been remodeled. Fully restored hardwood floors, new kitchen cabinets, new kitchen appliances, new in-unit stack washer & dryer, custom baseboards, fresh paint throughout and all new furniture/furnishings. This home is absolutely perfect for extended stays or TRAVELING NURSES.

This cozy nook is absolutely perfect for those guests on Extended Stays and especially Traveling Nurses. If you`re on a budget, need a place to rest your head, on-the-go - then look no further. This rental property offers complementary Live Streaming YouTubeTV, fast and reliable high speed internet, a brand new in-unit stack washer & dryer and all the fixings one would need for comfy home furnishings. The Master Bedroom located off of the family room is furnished with a Full size mattress (or double) and the guest room off of the kitchen is furnished with a Twin (or single).

Guest will have complete access to the rental property. There is a storage unit located in the front yard in which the owner uses as an `Owner`s Closet.`

All communication will be handled online via the AirBnB text messaging thread. In the event of an emergency our Property Manager Brian Kenny`s direct contact information will be provided at time of check-in.

Uber and Lyft are available in the immediate area. A personal vehicle or rental car is always encouraged.

* There will be an additional Pet Fee of $150 for any and all pets. Pricing can be negotiated based on size, age and training of animal. Please be advised that this fee is PER ANIMAL and that the guest is still liable, responsible and will be held accountable for any pet accidents throughout the home for the duration of their stay (i.e. Urine or poop stains, chewed up furniture, damaged property or missing personal belongings).

My husband & I came to visit family in the area and this small house had everything we needed - all the basic kitchen supplies we needed, comfortable living spaces, and high-speed wifi so I could work from the dining room table. We would definitely recommend it to other family members.

Cozy home with all the necessities!

I attended the Des Moines Kennel Club dog show at the Iowa State fairgrounds and this was a great cozy home for our visit. Immaculate, had all the necessities and the management team was very helpful and communicative. I will definitely consider this home for future visits to the Des Moines area.

Nice little house

My wife and I stayed here for a week while attending an online conference. This house met our needs well. Quiet location and fairly close to several coffee shops for a quick coffee run.

Wow, what a great place! My daughter and I were visiting family for a few days and this little gem was our little home away from home. Can’t say enough great things about this place. Loved how clean it was, anything you might need in the kitchen and the washer and dryer was an added bonus. Beds were very comfortable and sheets nice and soft. Sure the bathroom is tiny but was again super clean and well appointed with anything we might need. I would highly recommend this adorable little cottage.

Great Neighborhood

Don't let the size or the front of the house (which needs a bit of lawn care) scare you away. This house was perfect for me and my two boys. Very clean, Kitchen well stocked, great and easy security to get in and out. I'll definitely rent this home again.

The house was in a convenient location. The house was updated very nice. I slept in the twin bed and it was comfortable. It is not luxury but nice and we felt safe. As noted in the description, small bathroom.

46th Street

The cleanest rental I have ever stayed in. Neighborhood was very quiet. Linens and towels were soft and plush. Kitchen has all the cookware and utensils you need. Furniture was clean. All new appliances in kitchen. Only drawback was small bathroom that is off the kitchen, but ceilings in bathroom were tall so seems bigger. And shower insert was nice for such a small area.

Great location & very responsive manager

Property looks a little different from what you would expect when you see the inside photographs. House is compact but amenities are all available. I had issues when I got to the house with the cleanliness and I contacted the manager. He was very prompt and had the cleaner come back after check in. I know that I am staying in a location that other people have stayed in previously, but I don't want to be reminded. If I pay a cleaning fee, I expect the residence to be clean. Check out was OK.

One caveat

The small house was cozy and clean. The kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed, including a lovely washer/dryer. Communication was clear. The only caveat would be that this is not a place for someone who is larger than average. It has a regular size double bed (as advertised) and the twin bed would be most suitable for a child. The bathroom is small and only accommodates one person at a time. All in all it fit our needs well, but would not be right for everyone.

Small little home. Nice neighborhood.

Was fine for our needs. We did not have wifii during our stay, which was a bummer. We were able to communicate with management many times (nice and helpful person) but in the end, no wifii. Apparently the wires were cut by landscaping company. We were out until late every night so it wasnt a huge issue for us overall. Note: bathroom very small. Picture (I saw in order to make my decision to stay there) was misleading as to which of the houses in picture the vrbo home was. House is behind a sort of storage unit or two? I noticed the pictures were updated while we were on our trip and are now more accurate. House itself is not completely remodled. Bathroom could use a better floorplan. Black Cat Ice cream was awesome. One perk we found in neighborhood.

We had a wonderful week-long stay at this property. The host communicated quickly with any questions. Check-in and check-out were seamless. We were very pleased that we were able to bring our cat as well. The owners checked in, but we had no issues during our stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the kitchen was the best-appointed rental I've ever stayed in. We really appreciated the privacy of the front patio and the ring camera out front for security. Truly, a five-star rental and would recommend and stay again. Thank you so much!

Deceit, dirty, unkept, continued to add charges

I booked this house in January for my parents who are in their 80s to come in May. Later they wanted to add a week so I contacted the host, Michael sent me a confirmation of the date changes. I emailed in May because I had not heard anything and it was 5 days before they were to arrive. Michael said, no we don't have the date change. I sent him a screenshot showing where he confirmed it, but they double booked it. Luckily I found them a place for 5 days. The next issue was my parents got house, the grass was up to their knees, there were ants in livingroom, a very strong urine and feces smell in the back bedroom. They had to immediately go to the store to get air freshener and plugins. All of the window screens had holes in them so they could not open the windows without bugs coming in. The air conditioner was a very small window unit. There were cracks and falling ceiling, they listed a patio and a backyard,it was non existent. There were some positives the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, small appliances. It did have a small stackable washer and dryer and a small dishwasher. I would not recommend this place. The neighbors did talk to my parents, told them that there are two owners one that would like to do some updating and the other just wants the cash. I am not sure if that's 100% accurate but the photos are very misleading. They did come and mow the grass the same day and wanted to fix the other stuff but i didnt want my parents inconvenienced.

Cozy cottage

This place has everything a small family needs for a short stay. The small kitchen was well-appointed for being able to prepare meals and having a full-sized table was great. The neighborhood was quiet and nice. We had a concern and elevated it to the property manager who responded promptly and pleasantly.

Des Moines house.

The house was ok. But the bathroom is ridiculous. You can’t sit on the toilet without turning sideways, the shower is tiny and half the light switches in the house don’t work and the headboard is broken and makes a noise constantly when you are in the bedroom trying to sleep.

Now, a little bit about me. I was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. I moved down to Arizona when I was 18 back in Fall of 2000 to attend Arizona State University. I am the second youngest of five boys that grew up in a strong Italian household. My family is my rock and my brothers mean everything to me. I am attached at the hip to my beautiful partner Sage Honga of 8 years and counting - and as of recently we have the most beautiful daughter who was born on June 3rd, 2020 right here in Scottsdale.
